Awesome water park "Cape of Good Hope" in Berdyansk, or We can, when we want!
Until the day when my dad and I went to the Berdyansk water park, I was only in the water parks of Turkey and thought that if there are water parks in Ukraine, they are all expensive and terrible, with terrible service (the reason is the negative impressions from the trip to Crimea are somewhat years ago). But recently, I still wanted to find out the south of my native country better and go to one of the Ukrainian water parks. I asked friends, reviewed a bunch of information on the Internet - and everywhere they unanimously recommended the Cape of Good Hope water park in Berdyansk. We decided to go and see everything with our own eyes - was not! We left home at 6:00 am. I note that from Dnepropetrovsk to the Berdyansk water park is 300 km (4 hours by car). The water park opens at 10 am and is open until 7 pm. At the checkout they are very friendly, the guard may ask to see the bag, but only for alcohol, weapons, etc. - of course, none of this can be carried, but soft drinks are allowed. The territory of the water park is very beautiful, stylized as Ancient Rome, green and well-groomed. Everywhere is very clean. There was no battle for sun loungers or circles / mats on which they moved down the slides - maybe because we were on a weekday, I don’t know. There are single, double and triple laps - as experience shows, driving together is faster and more fun : )))) When it was time for lunch, we went to the dining room on the territory. Personally, I am skeptical about advertising "home cooking", but here the cuisine is really very close to home - everything is VERY tasty, there is plenty to choose from. I liked the fact that the portions are normal, not "cat". Delicious shawarma is prepared at the remote point.
Of course, the main thing in the water park is the slides. There are a lot of them, for any speed and taste - open, closed, twisted, straight, springboards... The boomerang and the Ninth Wave slides were especially struck - the only slide of this profile in Europe. During the flight - you can’t say otherwise - these slides are so breathtaking that it’s hard to describe in words! I also liked the "serpentine", twisted slides-pipes, and my dad liked the "whirlpool" slide, popularly referred to as the "toilet bowl". Near the slides there are many circles, if necessary, they are immediately blown up or repaired. In general, the service is top notch. On each of the 31 slides there is an instructor who keeps order and will not allow you to ride in a crowd or one after another. All the staff are friendly, friendly and smiling - it was so unusual to see such an attitude in their native country, and not abroad! : ))) On the territory of the water park there are VIP houses that can be rented for a fee, they look like tents with low sofas, pillows and a table - in other words, in oriental style. A separate alley leads to each house, lined with red, pink or other flowers. In general, there are a lot of flowers on the territory, and a wide variety. I also really liked the fact that the children's area is separated from the adult, and no one interferes with anyone. The children's area has several small slides for children and a shallow pool, which has a fountain and cartoon slides that you can just climb on. And rightly so - children do not get under the feet of adults, and an adult does not injure a child by accidentally flying into the pool from a slide. Very pleasant music plays - both old songs and new hits.
In general, we received a lot of positive emotions and did not regret a single hryvnia spent (for two we spent about a thousand hryvnias - 2 adult tickets + food + parking + gasoline), we were very satisfied. So the Berdyansk water park is no worse, if not even better than the Turkish ones. After all, we can, when we want!
