Camp "Red carnation" in Berdyansk.
The "Berdyansk Artek" is called the "Red Carnation". The children's recreation complex was built in 1971 and is located in the resort area of Berdyansk at the base of the Berdyansk Spit. The territory of the center is a park zone of 17 hectares. Eight 2-storey buildings with well-equipped halls are surrounded by a blooming oasis, in which there are more than 3000 roses, 110 varieties, 1910 trees and shrubs in total 71 species. During the years of the center's existence, children from Poland, France, the Czech Republic, and Germany rested in it. Children of the cities of the Commonwealth countries, Moscow and Tyumen, Nefteyugansk and Novgorod, Tula, Cheboksary, Yekaterinburg remember and love Red Carnation. The camp staff is staffed by qualified personnel.
I worked in this camp 10 years ago))) The memories were wonderful)) Well, let's start with the food. . . The children were fed chic, meat, sardines, hunting sausages, soup with meatballs, etc. Very tasty and varied, at least 10 years ago it was like that. There were also pies, chocolate, sweet bars, yogurts and other dairy and sour-milk products. Of course, the staff was fed much worse, soups without meatballs, borscht without meat, etc. But for the children there was such a bust on nutrition, that they didn’t eat half and we had enough too.
In the evenings there were always various events, where both detachments and pioneer leaders and educators took part. After that there was a disco, I was delighted, as if I myself had fallen into childhood. After the disco, the second dinner, juice and a bun, for example.
In the rain and bad weather, we took the children to the cinema, where they showed pretty modern films, Fast and Furious and more. .
Sporting events were also held in the camp. There was a water slide on the beach (like in a water park), on which the guys rode according to the schedule of each squad.
Several times during the shift, we took the children to the embankment of Berdyansk, where they bought souvenirs and more.
Next to the camp there is an Aquapark and a dolphinarium.
At that time, the discipline at the Krasnaya Gvozdika children's health center was of medium severity, compared to other children's camps. But nevertheless, the children were delighted, and they came for more than one year.
