Pros: very good location, located between very fashionable fives, you can watch from afar the territory and animation, in front of the hotel there is a good beach without high tides, a very good garden on the territory, everything is buried in flowers, beautiful trees, even baobabs. The rooms are fresh (we lived in the Arabian building), the design of the rooms is original, comfortable furniture, there is air conditioning and a fan, there was always hot water in the shower, a separate toilet and bathroom, the cleaning in the room is good, the only thing that is washed with very toxic products, after cleaning for a long time the smell of bleach lingers (maybe it's for the time of quarantine).
Cons: food and restaurant staff left a not very bright impression. We were going on a honeymoon trip, our vouchers were marked - just married (newlyweds). In all normal 4-star hotels for honeymooners, compliments are made from the hotel, at least the room is decorated upon arrival, champagne is there, fruit in the room. And then they gave the worst room unprepared for arrival, and had to negotiate for an additional fee to settle at least on the second floor, because. The first floor is completely walkable. The staff at the reception is pleasant, but the restaurant is very unfriendly.
We had breakfast and dinner (HB). Breakfast is very poor, the same every day, pancakes, scrambled eggs, bread, boiled eggs, inedible sausages, salad, sometimes some hot appetizer (beans, stewed vegetables, fried mushrooms), olives, juice, tea, coffee, cocoa, fruit salad. At first, the pancakes were served in the restaurant already fried and it was possible to take them without a queue, then they began to fry the pancakes one by one on the street and there was a huge queue for the pancakes, as each guest takes 4-6 pancakes per family. There were no desserts and pastries at breakfast at all, which is surprising for a foursome. So pancakes were the only sweet.

Dinner is a separate sad story. To attend dinner, we were given vouchers because we paid for breakfast and dinner. In the hotel restaurant, in addition to hotel guests, passers-by can also dine, the entrance to the hotel is completely open from the beach. So their waiters serve with joy, because they pay money. And we sat for an hour with a voucher and waited for the menu to be brought to us, then we waited for food for a long time. The choice of dinner with a la carte voucher is very limited, you can choose one starter, one main course and one soft drink. The menu is the same all the time. The menu has 5 types of appetizers and 3 main dishes that you can choose with a voucher, the rest is for money. That is, by and large, it is impossible to choose normal food for dinner with a voucher, I had to order the same thing for dinner for the entire rest of 11 days.
The waiters, even if you leave a tip, do not pay attention, you can leave a tip to one person who brought the menu, and he leaves and takes the order, then you run around looking for a new one. The waiters are inattentive. Constantly brought not what we order. A couple of times they took out the bill for food for some reason, and we had to prove that we didn’t have to pay because they gave us a voucher. And it turns out they lost the voucher somewhere and then ran around looking for it. The manager of the restaurant, Samuel, is a very unpleasant person. He constantly tried to deceive us, limited us and forbade us to choose seafood (squid, shrimp, octopus) as the main course for dinner, said that these dishes were not allowed on the voucher, only for money, which is not true. Each time we simply demanded to bring us a normal dinner, and not hummus with vegetables and chicken, as Samuel suggested to us.
In general, dinners were always a hassle for us and really spoiled the impression of the hotel. It is better to live with breakfast and dine for money in a variety of other places. By the way, the Sunset Hotel is nearby, although it’s a trio, but the dinners were excellent, one day we went to them for a buffet on Wednesday, there was an excellent choice of salads and local national dishes, and a lot of desserts, also excellent animations and a show program - Maasai dances, live national music and drummers. But in Kendwa Rocks with animation, it’s quite a disaster, even on Valentine’s Day they didn’t organize anything, they didn’t decorate the hotel and the beach, neither music, nor a festive program.
In all the hotels in the neighborhood, even in the Sunset troika, they arranged beauty, moved the tables to the beach, turned on the music, beautifully decorated festive tables, placed various photo zones and themed decorations. Nothing in Kendwa Rocks. For a foursome, this is a disgrace. We were forced to spend Valentine's Day in the neighborhood Sunset, because. in Kendwa Rosk there was darkness and silence. From the animation in Kendva rocks, only a disco on Saturdays, where many strangers come and wander around the hotel until the morning, which is not safe, because. A lot of people use drugs there.

Security is another minus of the hotel. There seems to be security, but she most often sleeps. Anyone who wants to enter the hotel and the beach can pass, and this is definitely not a plus for the hotel. In general, the hotel is definitely not worth the money. Up to four in service and food does not pull.
