The room was WITHOUT A WINDOW, which surprised us a lot. But since we were told in Martinens that there are no places yet, and these inconveniences are only for one night, and then we will be relocated, we decided that one night can still be endured.
Needless to say, they kept their word. The next morning we were given a nice triple room on the 4th floor with a balcony. There is a plasma TV in the room, a sufficient number of different shelves and bedside tables, the carpet, however, is covered in some incomprehensible stains, but this did not bother me, because I prudently took slippers from home with me, and the director was indignant about the dirt and lay on the bed until I got her white hotel slippers from the maid : ) In the bathroom there is a comfortable wide square sink (you can brush your teeth and wash your face together at once), a bath (not very big, but if you want to take a bath, you can) and a shower built in into the wall, which was annoying (IMHO, the shower should be removable). There is no kettle in the room, therefore, dear lovers of tea and coffee before bedtime, take a portable kettle or kettle with you, or order tea, coffee and cappuccino in the room. Tea - $1 glass, we ordered. Before that, they took two different teapots from the maids, but a terrible smell emanated from one when boiling water, and sediment fell out at the bottom in the other, they did not dare to drink. Another drawback in the room is that there are only 2 sockets located nearby and in a very inconvenient place, and there were no sockets near the bed, as usual, because of which you had to use a laptop on your knees - you can’t sit for a long time in the evenings, your back aches. The balcony is small, but it's enough to get out to breathe. TV from Russian channels catches the First Russian and RTR-Planet, the rest are Turkish and European.
The hotel is clean, comfortable, all elevators worked, there are two of them. The restaurant is located on the 7th floor, it offers a beautiful panorama of Laleli. Large terrace - apparently, when the weather is warm, tables are set up there. Food - a buffet, breakfast is included in the price, no lunch, dinner $ 12 per person (payment to the waiter in cash at the entrance or when the dishes are cleaned for you). The food is delicious, quite varied, even better than in some Antalya fours. Dinner was always fish, chicken or lamb, deliciously cooked. From fruits they gave apples, sometimes tangerines. Tea, coffee, cappuccino, cocoa are included in the price of dinner, but drinks from the refrigerator (cola, fanta, beer, carbonated mineral water) are quite expensive - $ 3-5 for a tiny jar. As for lunch - the hotel is located very well, around it there are a lot of not only shops (textiles, leather, shoes wholesale and retail), but also cafes and restaurants. We went to have lunch at Yonca Restorant - very tasty, relatively inexpensive, friendly helpful staff, and most importantly - they have carrot and tomato juice, which we love very much : )
As for the hotel staff, everyone was friendly and kind to us, no one was rude to us, and if help was needed, they helped with pleasure. But we also treated the staff in the same friendly and positive way. The guys from the reception Juneyt and Erol (working the night shift) are great. The contingent of the hotel is very different: these are businessmen-merchants from the CIS, and business people, and Arabs, and even blacks who spoke French (apparently Angola, Ethiopia or Congo)
In general, I liked the hotel. But be careful on the black steps at the entrance, the edges of which are not marked in any way. You can fall without noticing the edge of the step. But you get used to it after a couple of days. The hotel is suitable for both business and leisure travelers - Sultanahmet Square with all the sights is a 15-20 minute quiet walk away. Thanks to this wonderful hotel, our 4 days in Istanbul became even more beautiful. Wonderful hotel. . . for 3 * very spacious and comfortable! The hotel is located in a commercial area. . . so you can combine shopping and sightseeing! Around the hotel there are many shops, cafes and in general the place is very busy! On the roof of the hotel there is a terrace for eating, from where a wonderful view of this beautiful city opens from one side and from the other side to the Black Sea! The black sea is 10 minutes walk, BUT you can only walk along the embankment, because there is no beach as such. . and they don’t really swim there)) but again, there are many different cafes and restaurants on the embankment with freshly prepared fish and other seafood! The hotel is cleaned every day. The room has a refrigerator, works fine, TV, hair dryer, shower, bath all as in the description. We had a wonderful 4 days! Thanks to the hotel for the warm welcome! ! PS The staff speaks Russian. Very responsive people. After 4 days in the city we went to the marble sea for 2 days. Stayed with my son in this hotel for a week. I really liked the hotel. The hotel rooms are cozy with a good repair, the furniture is new, there were no problems with hot water and cleaning.
