We booked this hotel through a travel agency, tempted by the antiquity of the building. Booked a room with a balcony on the 3rd floor with 3 separate beds for 3 adults. Upon arrival, we were settled in a single room in the basement, where 2 more beds were quickly brought. We booked this hotel through a travel agency, tempted by the antiquity of the building. Booked a room with a balcony on the 3rd floor with 3 separate beds for 3 adults. Upon arrival, we were settled in a single room in the basement, where 2 more beds were quickly brought. After lengthy negotiations and for $ 20, they promised to move to the room we ordered in 2 days. The window of the basement sanctuary overlooks the favelas inhabited by the poor. On the first night, a bag with money and phones was stolen from the room through the window. The window is closed from the outside by an impressive wooden lattice, which, as it turned out, can be easily lifted from below. The next day they called the police, forensics, spent the whole day in the police station. The hotel staff did not provide ANY assistance and assistance. The hotel appeared to be equipped with security cameras, none of which worked. When asked by a police officer to provide a recording from the camera of a neighboring hotel, it turned out that it also did not work! On the 3rd day we were moved to room 501, which we booked.
The police gave us a copy of the statement about the theft in Turkish, which was inadvertently left on the bedside table in the room. Returning to the room in the evening, it turned out that the application had disappeared. To which the maid curled: it probably flew out through the balcony!
In general, the impressions about this hotel are the most lousy: boorish attitude, complete frostbite of the staff, lack of an elementary culture of conflict resolution.
The only plus is a swing near the entrance, and a small fountain, which all the cats in the area resorted to drink.
The summer area of the restaurant is a courtyard fenced with concrete walls, resembling a children's pool, from which the water was pumped out. The food did not leave a sediment, so it can be described as satisfactory. They tried to compensate for the losses incurred by the amount of food, but, unfortunately, they could not eat more than one serving.
Near the hotel there is a subway line, the rumble of trains distracted from sadness over the stolen material values.
Dear tourists, we advise you to spend the night in the park or on the rocks of the Bosphorus. We strongly do not recommend this thieves' den! Unless you have the last night left and you have nothing to steal!
