We returned from this hotel a few days ago. Well, what can I say, if they knew that everything would be like this, probably, they would not have gone better at all. My husband and I are not picky travelers, we usually rest in Europe in inexpensive hotels. But this year we went to the sea primarily for the sake of our daughter, who is 2.5 years old. I wanted a relaxing family holiday in a hotel with a concept for families with children. Turkey seemed to fit perfectly. They hoped that in Turkey they missed the Russians, and expected at least a warm welcome, and at the most respect for the guests who bring their money to this country. Looking ahead, I will say that expectations, to put it mildly, were not met. So, in more detail:
The flight was at night (as usual, changed at the last moment, charter). Therefore, the hotel was early in the morning, at 9 o'clock. We ordered an individual transfer from the airport, because it was very difficult with a small child after a sleepless night. Plus, I'm 6 months pregnant. At the reception, we were put on bracelets (paper, dada) and offered to go down for breakfast, and come up to 14 o'clock to get the keys. In advance from Moscow, we asked for an early check-in, no one was interested. At the reception we offered to pay for early check in.... No, sorry, the hotel is full. Well, ok, we decided what to do, and went to breakfast. Literally after breakfast, the receptionist approached us and offered to get a room right now. Happiness knew no bounds. But exactly until the moment when we entered this room and turned off the air conditioner. It turns out that we were "lucky" to get into room 417. This is the one that is located next to the ventilation shaft of the restaurant. When the balcony door is open, the rumble in the room is like from a Boeing on takeoff... When it is closed, the wall is shaking... To say that we were shocked is to say nothing. Sleeping, and in principle being there is unrealistic, but we arrived for 10 days, and with an eye on relaxation, not survival... We returned to the reception and asked to change the room. The staff made round eyes - like, a room with a sea view and you don't like it ? ! Is it really that noisy? Well, look at this one, the 315th, but it's not ready yet. We went up there - the room overlooks the amphitheater in which animation takes place, that is, our small child, according to the entertainment schedule, will not sleep until 22.30 (usually at 20.30 we are already getting ready for bed)... There are no other rooms, they told us this , Sorry. Probably, it was not the most beautiful picture when a pregnant woman stands in the lobby and cries from fatigue and from such an attitude towards her family - during a vacation for which we paid a lot of money. In general, the main receptionist "took pity" and signed us up a day later for relocation to another room. Here is a concept for families with children. . .
Another useful information for those who still want to go to this hotel - the left wing of the building is the most inconvenient of all, those rooms that overlook the "garden" are either on the amphitheater in which music is thundering, or on the garbage heap. Rooms on the first floor there is a basement. Rooms on the other hand, overlooking the sea, are good, starting from the middle of the building (away from the restaurant, and this terrible hood, from which, by the way, not only noise, but also smell in the evenings). The rooms in this wing are carpeted, not suitable for allergy sufferers, as they are not cleaned very well in our personal opinion. The right wing of the building - good rooms, even the first floor is very decent, we were not inside, but the location is ok. The "new" building is considered to be the best - we were moved to it two days later. These are "superior rooms", which, as we understand, are not intended for Russians at all. For all the time that we lived there, we did not meet a single Russian-speaking family. We had a new room in 1821, a large spacious room, and even put slippers (there was no such luxury in the old building)... Lake views are considered the quietest rooms. I suspect that after 21 pm no one just went there, because exactly at this time entertainment programs begin in all neighboring hotels, and until 12 am you can only sleep in earplugs and with the balcony door closed, but there are no complaints about Kaya Side.

And one more thing - as we noticed on the third day, on the roof above the VIP rooms and directly next to our former number 417, there is a cellular operator's antenna and a TV dish (you can see it in the photo). For those who do not know what an antenna (transmitter) of a cellular operator is, it is a very powerful emitter of electromagnetic waves (an open microwave oven that fizzes to its fullest and irradiates all living things). In Russia, they are forbidden to be placed on residential facilities due to strong radiation, which causes significant harm to health. We put them only at private facilities, and mobile operators pay a lot of money for this, because few people agree to this. I don’t know what laws are in this regard in Turkey, but the managers of the Kaya Side hotel are the last to worry about the health of their guests. The exact same antenna is at the very end of the left wing - above the side rooms overlooking the sea. And the guests of these rooms also risk their health very much by staying there. Putting a pregnant woman with a small child there is an extremely disgusting act.
By the way, a little about the concept "for families with children". Everyone is told that the hotel is kids friendly, and even a potty is provided in the room. Only for some reason it is not specified that the hotel is suitable for children from 5-6 years old! In our opinion, for small children, everything is extremely not provided for here (well, except for the potty, yes). First, babies sleep during the day. But at the same time, cleaning came to us daily. Even the "do not disturb" sign did not help, the cleaners simply ignored it, and with a loud knock and shouts of "Housekeeping" burst into the room... I had to talk to the reception about this... They stopped breaking, and even began to clean in the morning. But at the same time, when the cleaners were on the floor (just on ours from 13 to 16), they were very bored, and they shouted from one end of the corridor to the other. A couple of times my husband came out and asked me not to make noise, but the thing is that they simply do not understand any other language except Turkish, in which we are not strong. Therefore, the whole family "slept" to the "funny" screams and songs of cleaners, minibar peddlers... Once they even came with music. In general, it was extremely difficult for us with this, there was no talk of any already pleasant rest, we just wanted to "be patient" and leave as soon as possible.
A little about food. For adults, the food is excellent, for children 5-6 years old, who ate mostly french fries, also excellent. Delicious, varied. But what to feed a small child is a problem. No porridge for breakfast. There is "rice with milk" - a wildly sweet something that even adults do not take. There are also cereals, chocolate flakes, different types of omelettes and eggs (my child is allergic to cereals and eggs). As a result, I found a way out - I collected oatmeal muesli in a thermos in advance, steamed them in the room with boiling water for 15 minutes, and it turned out a kind of porridge, which I then diluted with milk in a restaurant and added butter. Thank God, the muesli was not sweet, and my daughter ate it with pleasure. Pastries are very tasty, varied, cheeses, salads, it's all there. For lunch after a couple of days we stopped going at all. Because again, not for small children. Lunch starts at 13:00. At this time, my child, who gets up at 7, already falls off his feet and falls asleep with a spoon in his mouth. In addition, for lunch, apart from pasta or rice, there is also nothing for the child. All the meat there is with spices, and spices are not spared. If perishing pepper, so from souls. My daughter didn’t eat this, and chewing empty pasta is also not enough joy. Soup - two options for lunch, after one plate the child started having diarrhea, and we didn’t eat it anymore and didn’t study the menu of soups, which, perhaps, there were a huge number (but there was definitely no desire to try). We got out of the situation with fruit from breakfast, watermelon and tortillas from the beach bar. For dinner, oh happiness, there is diet food. And yes, it's only for dinner. Boiled chicken, beef, potatoes and rice. It seems to me that my child has never eaten so much rice in his entire life... The beef was not chewed, the chicken somehow. Again, we found a way out - grilled fish, at least it was soft and juicy, my daughter ate every day with pleasure. I don't know what to do for those who are allergic to fish.
For adults, I repeat, it is very tasty, a lot and varied, so you can safely go with children from 5-6 years old, the food will please. There were many different fruits, beautiful cherries, apples, pears, plums, apricots, freshly squeezed juice for breakfast for 1 euro (5 stars say? UltraOll? No, you haven’t heard). We must pay tribute, the cooks in the restaurant and in the grill area work only in nets and gloves, they follow sanitary standards. I didn’t notice outright dirt, but in the mornings the street terrace was covered in traces of yesterday’s dinner, so we only had breakfast inside. By lunchtime, everything was cleaned, I must say. The bar on the beach after 11 o'clock watermelon was scary))) all covered in sticky spots on the floor, the chairs were flooded with watermelon, and all this was baked in the heat at least until the evening... They tried not to go there even for coffee.

The rest of the hotel is not cleaned badly, there was no terrible dirt, but some plates could stand until the morning. In general, I would like to say thank you from the bottom of my heart that my child was not seriously poisoned by anything and did not pick up any muck. Thanks to me, of course, and not to the hotel staff.
As for the pools, we saw them being cleaned every evening and disinfected, but we didn't swim there ourselves. There are children's slides, again, for older children. There were a lot of sun loungers by the pool in the morning (we left at 8), as well as the sea.
The sea is the only point of our program that met all expectations! As they say, even the hotel staff failed to spoil the sea. Loungers in the morning are enough. People came at 11, and calmly took their places. Yes, of course, if you want to be in the first row and the first from the path, then it was probably booked at 6 in the morning. We always lay far from the edge, we just wanted a smaller "hangout". But it should also be noted that if everything is fine with sunbeds, then with umbrellas, there could be a problem. And if you want to lie in the shade, and not bake in the sun, then it’s better to “book” your shade just before 9 am))) Beach - coarse sand - small pebbles, we were without slippers, it didn’t bother, on the contrary, a useful massage for legs. When you enter the sea, stones begin. Standing with a child swaying on the waves, of course, is not very convenient, but tolerable. The entrance is not gentle, after 1.5 meters a sharp descent begins, so everyone with children splashes in the coastal zone, it seems that there are too many people, at each other's hands. But still - the sea is warm, gentle, even during a storm and wind, and most importantly, clean. The beach has showers and taps to wash your feet after sand.
I can’t say anything about the animation, because we weren’t particularly interested, and it was very unobtrusive. On Sundays there were "holidays" - invited performers gave a concert on the big lawn. We started at 21.30, we left earlier, so we saw only the preparation and scenery, it probably wasn't boring. I know that there is a mini disco, but we have never been either.

The Internet is disgusting, there is only in the lobby, by the pool or for money. In the evenings I didn’t connect at all, too many people tried to use it...
The concept of "ultraall" - the impression is that this is just a beautiful name to rip off more money. We personally have not seen imported alcohol, and I have never tried such disgusting non-alcoholic cocktails anywhere else. Once I ordered their branded "Kaya Side" in the lobby... the burda is terrible, it's not clear what they mixed, but the color was like a fanta... The service is also, frankly, not intrusive, they put it on a counter 1.5 meters away, And if I didn’t ask myself, is it for me? they would not have moved me to the place where I was sitting... In general, there was a feeling that they are holding you here for a bag of money: if you give a tip, they bring you drinks at dinner, if not, you won’t even ask for water. Personally, I once saw a picture of a waiter at dinner stuffing a bottle of wine into a stroller of some Russian mother, with whom he then hugged and took pictures....Then he brought a second bottle to her and tried to put it in a bag... But, unfortunately , there is cattle everywhere, and in Turkey, as we understand, its very concentration...
And finally - about the eviction. Naturally, our flight was rescheduled for the most inconvenient night time. We approached the reception the day before, they said about the extension to come on the day of departure at 9 am, but it was immediately clear that there would be no extension for us. And even your money is not needed, they told us at 9 in the morning, do not persuade, there are no numbers. And where will you spend your daytime sleep with your stomach and a small child - from 12 to 16.30, until the bus picks you up, this is, in fact, your own business, go from here and do not interfere with work... Yes, of course, in front of us and they were not obliged to bow, no - no, but it was all too unpleasantly expressed. And by the way, we didn’t come to borrow a hundred rubles. In general, I got a personal impression that this is just a requirement of the managers - the rooms should not be extended under any pretext, there was still not enough, suddenly people will like this hotel (which is already unlikely). But in order to spoil the rest for sure - do not extend it, period. To all the questions, the reception staff first make surprised faces - oh, how can it be, it can't be! Well, it’s just as if they don’t work in this hotel, but went in for a minute to stand at the counter. Do you want to book a la carte? Oh, how is that? ! Well, go to the third floor, maybe they will help you there. Do you want your room cleaned in the morning? Oh, how is that? ! This is impossible, but so be it, from the third request we will come up with something. Not to mention that they could come up with something and only after the fourth request. It feels like you are going to bow to magical creatures, by golly. And all would be nothing if not for their considerable money. And, yes - when we chose the hotel, there were cheaper options, and at the same price, but we read reviews about Kaya - almost everyone liked it, which means it must be a great hotel (Personally, I will never again trust reviews about Turkish hotels, for objective reasons, you can also safely not trust my review)
In conclusion, I want to say: our purely personal opinion - this hotel, even for Turkey, does not pull 5 stars. This is a maximum of 4 minus. 4 - for the adult meals, for the grill and the "superior" rooms, which were generally nothing (especially after the terrible main building). It's definitely not worth the money we paid. If we had bought it "on the cheap", it would probably have been at least not so insulting. The fact that the Turks “missed” us turned out to be a pure lie in our case, and we did not even feel simple respect for the guests throughout the rest. Thank you, Kaya, we will never visit you again, you have given us a vaccination against Turkey for many years, if not for life.
