We rested in Turkey from 05/11/2012 to 05/18/2012. This trip was our first vacation experience abroad - we were going to Turkey. We flew with a company of four people to the hotel, guided by the few reviews and photos that are on the Internet. Now, as they say, in order:
The rest was provided to us by the operator Tez Tour at a very attractive price - only $ 550 for two, which was the decisive factor in choosing among other offers. Of course, given the price, we initially did not count on some kind of chic or VIP vacation, but I will say, looking ahead, the vacation exceeded our expectations! We arrived at the hotel at about 20-00, checked in immediately, had dinner... We didn’t give money at the reception, we decided if something didn’t suit us, then we’ll solve the issue financially) The rooms are all standard and there’s no special point in changing one for another, the only nuance, these are bars in which music plays until 24-00, and if it bothers you, you can immediately ask for a room with a quieter location (for example, towards the sea). We had a room on the third floor with a view of the mountains - very nice, but almost under the balcony there is a bar with a very rich music program, which ends exactly at 24-00, so we decided for ourselves that the lights out would not be earlier than midnight-at the end after all, we didn’t come to sleep) So the room: clean, cozy, designed for three people (we lived together), the floor is tiled. The room has air conditioning, a TV, a refrigerator, a hair dryer in the bathroom, everything works properly and everything is quite new! In general, the entire hotel has been renovated, so it looks quite fresh. We took one safe for everyone - 5 liras per day. The rooms were cleaned every day, the towels were changed, whether we left a tip or not. The hotel staff is quite friendly and attentive, some speak English quite well. There was almost no language barrier - English at school and college + communication on the Internet helped a lot. The waiter Ali knows a little Russian, and a few other Turks with whom we met speak Russian very tolerably. The Turks themselves are very friendly and pleasant people, they left only pleasant impressions about themselves, they are always friendly and benevolent.
About food and drinks at the bar: in short, there was enough for everyone and everything! The food is not very varied, but tasty and plentiful). From meat only chicken, there was delicious fish, a lot of vegetables, salads, always a few side dishes, soups. There were also raisins, fruits, apples and oranges. For breakfast, they make an omelet with you - a very tasty omelette mix with cheese, tomatoes and ham. Generally fed 5 times a day. Free bar next to the pool from 10-00 to 23-00. Tea, coffee, some sweet water and just non-carbonated water - round the clock!! ! The hotel area is small but cozy. In Icmeler, as in Marmaris, all hotels are very compact, located on small plots of land. There is no animation in the hotel, they organized the evening rest themselves - walks along the embankment, along the evening Icmeler, photo shoots... they just sat and played krty with a glass of beer, wine. In neighboring hotels there was animation, if you wish, you can get there)))
The sea is very clean and a little cool at first, very beautiful nature, bay and mountains surrounding Icmeler. For some reason, due attention was not paid to the beach - there was a little garbage and sun loungers, mattresses and umbrellas brought by themselves, because. they went to the beach early, and the beach boy came to the beach by 12-00 at best. Perhaps this is the only drawback in our holiday.
It’s up to you to decide where to take excursions, I’ll just say that on the street they are cheaper than in a hotel year, for example, they went to the Turkish bath for $ 10 from the street, and the guide $ 35.
