1. Season: we read a lot and worried that it would be cold in October - all in vain! In October (especially before the 20th) you can and should go to Turkey! ! Temperature - + 28-29 (but it bakes in the sun), the sea is warm (but not hotter). That is, there is no heat and stuffiness, but it is very warm, and the evenings were pleasant, with the exception of a couple of days.

2. Place - Marmaris (Icmeler, Dalyan, Oyudeniz-Fethiye) - this is a heavenly place, we christened it Turkish Thailand) No Antalya, Alanya, Side, etc. , were even close! Blue or crystal turquoise sea, clear water, islands, bays and lagoons of the Aegean, well, mountains with untouched nature, places immersed in greenery! ! Across the "road", very close, by the way, are already the Greek islands.
In the water we saw various fish, and turtles and interesting large worms at a depth at the bottom ... ).
Many Englishmen rest at this resort, in the city even the price tags are duplicated in pounds in many places.
Place of rest: for party-goers - in the city itself, for those who appreciate exactly the rest - you need to stay in hotels between Marmaris and Icmeler, in the green zone: the sea is clean there, there are no ships parking, there is no kishla-dvigla, hotels with a large territory and only at the first line, greenery. In the center - crowds of people, noise, small hotels, no territory, no greenery, beaches are often shared.
To Icmeler - 10 minutes walk along the promenade, to Marmaris - minibus - 5 minutes (3 liras).
3. HOTEL Sentido Orka Lotus Beach: in short - the locals themselves said that the hotel is really one of the best in Marmaris-Icmeler (only the Grand Yazici Marmaris Palace can compete with it, the rest are either concrete blocks without territory, or hostels (buildings of 5 -9 floors) or remote from the sea or …)
PROS: territory and greenery (pine trees naturally grow right in the middle of the hotel), location - the most beautiful nature opposite the island, some distance from the city, BEACH (pontoon and the beach itself, long and with a gentle entry into the water, separate, sunbeds not on concrete, but on sandy-pebble beach), rooms, minibar, water park, staff, contingent (we didn’t see cattle), sauna-bath is always (until 19.00) well heated.
MINUSES: poor animation, no food if late check-in (at 2 am with us) and almost no one speaks Russian/Ukrainian. Even as for a hotel that is 2-something years old, there are already imperfections or something is missing ...ATM - there is no ATM in the hotel! Beach towels - only according to the schedule - you can rent / take, entrance doors to the room: a minimum of soundproofing.

FOOD - a double impression (maybe because the last month of the season - but this cannot be an excuse for a serious hotel): on the one hand, everything seems to be there, and there are 2-3 types of fish every day (dorado, trout, salmon, mackerel), and fresh juices in the morning, and cheeses of 4-5 types every day, and honey (even in honeycombs), ...but there was practically no seafood as such (a couple of times small shrimps were given in some kind of sauce), although before that people wrote that there were seafood and crayfish (for comparison, in a lower level hotel - they gave seafood), watermelons and pomegranates, peaches were never there! , in the end, the melon also disappeared ...they noticed in the morning that they gave vegetables obviously not the first freshness (that is, “from yesterday”, but this is the case in many hotels), often not completely washed dishes (I didn’t like it at all) - mostly cups and glasses / glasses.
Yes, and if you want to take the best seats in the restaurant (near the terrace overlooking the sea, or if you need a large table for the company) - then come 10 minutes before the opening of the restaurant - it will already be possible to enter and take a table, well, or ask the waiter.
DRINKS - juices in packs were not poured everywhere, in restaurants and on the beach they were given from yupi machines, beer was also on tap (for comparison, in Egypt at the Royal Grand Sharm hotel - beer was everywhere exclusively from glass bottles, and juices from packages). Cocktails and more expensive alcohol were given in the Lobby bar and in the Blue Bar "on the roof": pina colada, Baileys, Balantays. Alcoholic drinks and cocktails - as everywhere in this case: from local ingredients and not quite prepared as it should.
STAFF: There are a lot of English people in the hotel, and they are served more willingly, for two reasons: 1 - few of the staff speak Russian (Ukrainian), 2.
foreigners leave at least some tips, but most of our rednecks believe that if everything is “all inclusive”, then no one owes anyone a tip even a dollar or two. He himself left tips for some waiters and bartenders - the attitude immediately changed dramatically, and the tables were reserved, and everyone carried them themselves and made drinks differently, etc.
Cleaning - there were no frills. They left a tip - everything was always new towels, the beds were made, but not once in 10 days they replenished balms, shampoos-gels.
ROOMS: do not regret and pay extra (you can immediately when buying a ticket) for a room with a sea view - the view is amazing, and you will not be looked through a couple of meters from the windows of the building opposite or the windows of the restaurant, bar - there the buildings are very close, keep this in mind - the view is not on the garden, but on the room opposite, in the windows of the neighbor. We had a room with a sea view - and really there was nothing else in front of us.

Those who will get rooms in the central building, even with a sea view, will still have a ground floor platform or a restaurant terrace in front of you (so check and take it on the right or left side / buildings). This is clearly seen in the photos of other tourists.
There is everything in the room: air conditioner (worked fine), TV (there are Russian and Ukrainian channels), a safe, a minibar-refrigerator (4 bottles of still water, 3 sparkling water, 2 small packs of juice), tea and coffee - all this is replenished every day, the rooms are modern, not small, the plumbing is new. Lots of lighting options. The shower wall is translucent. Minus - entrance doors: a minimum of sound insulation, it feels like you live in the corridor!
POOLS and AVAPARK, SPA, WATER ENTERTAINMENT - there are enough pools: main, indoor (near the SPA center), relaxation on the right, and for children, separately - near the water park.
The water park is small - but whoever has the time and desire to ride is enough, especially the slide.
Separately, there is a dry sauna, a steam/wet sauna and a hammam.
For a fee - massages, tattoos, a hairdresser, etc. - but the prices are in USD. e. ))
The local photographer is a complete swindler. - You won’t ask the price right away, “we’ll agree later. ” As a result: you waste your time, get carried away with the process, and in the evening they tell you for 15 minutes of a photo session - 100 bucks, with a discount - 90))) For the British - this is not money, but for us in 20 minutes and 15-20 normal photos without printing . . well, judge for yourself. The guys from the water spot station at the hotel near the promenade - there is a guy who takes pictures too - for 10-20 USD. That is, it will make you no worse, only without Photoshop. )
Water activities (to the left of the hotel - as mentioned earlier) - among other things, I would really advise you to rent a motor boat! ! They have different ones: smaller and larger. They let you GO BY YOURSELF, without them!
We went out to the open sea, swam to the right along the islands, the landscapes are incredible, the swimming bays are something, we saw a couple of private households and hotels in the mountains near the sea - but almost everything is untouched!

The Greek coast guard even sailed to us. )) Well, plus a sense of drive from the speed of the waves in the sea! Price in October: from 100 to 130 USD e. per boat (you can drop several people on one)!
4. EXCURSIONS: of course, they didn’t take a guide: there are a lot of shops in Icmeler or Marmaris on the street.
- Dalyan (turtle bay, Dalyan river and "mud") - price 20 c. u. e. per person : first 2 or 2.5 hours they are driven by sea on a large yacht pleasure boat to the Dalyan River, stopping for swimming for 15 minutes at a depth of up to 20 m in one of the bays; then lunch (moreover, attention: drinks are NOT included: that is, neither water, nor tea, nor beer - everything is for a fee: tea and cola 1.5 c. u. , water 1 c. u. , beer 4 c. u.
), further, in the place where the Dalyan River flows into the sea - they transfer to taxi boats (there is in the photo) as in Thailand, land them for swimming on the turtle beach, then feed the turtles on the other side of the coast (where the river is) - we actually saw one ), then load into boats and somewhere min. 30 sail upstream to the Lycian tombs (cave-tombs in the rocks) without disembarkation, then - near the city of Dalyan they land on the "mud". Back all the same, but without stopping. There are sea-river turtles in the river - and they grow blue crab - on the ship for one (which they order in advance to be cooked on a farm by the river) you pay 6 c. u. e. (there is not enough in one crab))) Moreover, on this excursion there were mostly British, we were in the minority, they told us less, and circled around the British - they did not sting money: for a photographer, booze, etc. Guide, Natasha or something, little black - a complete zero!

For example, let's take the simplest: an onyx bracelet: there 20 USD and this type of aso is already discounted, but in the shops you can take it for 5 USD), then Pamukal - go down to the lowest bowls, there are fewer people - many don’t reach there - go straight down there, then swim in Cleopatra’s pool (she didn’t actually swim there, but she was in the town nearby), they say that the water there is very healing, it beats from the source that the whole periodic table is there, there are also locals who go to the sessions from 10 times, and our people come again, there are even settle there as a specialist in small local hotels ...The depth is 5 meters at the end of the ropes and the grate.
