Money thrown away

Travel time: 26 june — 3 july 2012
Who does the author recommend the hotel to?: For recreation with friends, for young people
HOTEL: Hotel of medium porosity. It doesn't pull at all for five stars, a four with a stretch. Of the three hotels of the same owner, Palace on the right, Turban on the left, this Mares is the worst. Do not take into account when choosing this hotel for its area. In fact, the hotel has no territory. It is large due to the bungalows located on it. The whole area is the main building with bars and a restaurant and a swimming pool, and that's it! There is no playground for children, and besides, there is a toilet on it - a very good place for the location of the toilet. The hotel is not suitable for families with small children - the beach is a platform, there is no children's menu and high chairs (well, maybe a couple of broken Chicco chairs). The size of the pool for so many people is very small, it just teems with people throughout the day. There are slides, but we did not climb there, just above the main pool. Vacationers: Russians, Italians, Turks, Germans. The staff does not speak Russian.
Another highlight of the hotel is wi-fi. In order to use it, each time you need to enter the Login (room number) and Password (series and passport number) on the automatically opened hotel window, and all this must be duplicated. Wi-fi is such a super technology that just putting a one-time password to connect would be very stupid on the part of the hotel administration. This development needs to be protected seriously! The animation is unobtrusive, there is a Russian girl. There is a miniclub, but we did not visit it. I didn’t go to any bars either, so I can’t say anything about them. Along all the hotels along the coast between the hotel and the beach there is such a promenade. In the evening you can take a walk along it, very convenient.

SETTLEMENT, ROOM: arrived around 13. settled as expected after 14 not a minute earlier. At the reception there is a Russian-speaking girl Evgenia, but not always, the rest have a problem with the Russian language, as well as throughout Marmaris.
Our room was standard in the Main building. We chose it (they paid a little more than when staying in a bungalow) because they read there that there was a renovation. I did not notice the repair, everything is very dull. And those who lived in the bungalow said that we were still lucky with the rooms. What is there? ! Our room is spacious, the carpet is terrible - we walked around the room in beach slippers. There are no slippers and bathrobes in the room. The pillows are terribly uncomfortable. Bedding and towels are not the first freshness with stains. In the bathroom, fungus on the seams between the tiles. A shower without a hose - embedded in the wall - it is impossible to bathe a child, bathed with her and held her in her arms! I haven’t seen such a hair dryer for a long time either, a la vacuum cleaner. In general, what kind of renovation was in the rooms and what specifically he touched on is not clear. Room cleaning made easy! She is absent. The concept of cleaning they include - 1. make the bed, 2. Pick up trash from the bathroom.
You don’t need to wash the toilet bowl, the sink too, the foot towel soaked through (due to the fact that all the water is on the floor when bathing), the cleaning lady just hung it from the floor back onto the bathroom. Towels were not changed for the week. I’m already silent about the fact that the room was never vacuumed and they didn’t look at the balcony for the purpose of cleaning. Of the eight days spent in this wonderful place, the room was cleaned for us only THREE times in general. And for two days in a row and the last three days before leaving, no one even looked in to put toilet paper, although when we left the room, the cart was standing next to the next room. It is not clear what they are guided by when choosing which room they need to clean and in what sequence. There is nowhere to put things, well, that is, of course - on the chairs on the balcony. But it would be possible to attach a special small dryer to the wall on the balcony, after all.
There is also something like a rope for drying things in the bathroom, you need to pull it along the bathroom yourself. But I'm wondering - how long will things dry there? The air conditioner worked satisfactorily. There was a moment when it did not work at all, at the reception it was called Hotel problem. In general, air conditioning in hotels is a big problem. Everywhere stuffiness is terrible, it seems that they save electricity and do not turn on air conditioners. They didn’t even look into the minibar, they were afraid that they would show it later. The light in the room is bad. At the entrance to the room in the corridor, a lamp on the bedside table and a lamp near the mirror. If you decide to paint your nails, pluck your eyebrows or put on make-up for dinner, it is better to do this in advance in the afternoon on the balcony. On TV they show: ORT, Russia 24, Planet, and Channel 5 Ukraine. TV well, very antediluvian and small - the size is close to a tablet))) EURO 2012 was not very good to watch, you can't see the ball on the field.

The playpen was brought immediately upon request. A good playpen, but we never used it, because of the air conditioner, which had to be left on at night, because without it it was possible to melt like ice. I tore off the balcony on the first night, but firstly, our windows overlook the roadway and the noise of cars is heard all night, and secondly, mosquitoes prevailed. Whoever is not friends with them, be sure to take a fumigator with you, vacationers from the bungalow said that they were simply teeming with mosquitoes, the children had the impression that they had had chickenpox, they were so bitten.

RESTAURANT: the main "restaurant" is a separate topic for conversation. I have never seen anything like this in all my travels abroad. It consists of indoor, indoor, and outdoor. There are much fewer places indoors. And since the heat is unbearable, I want to sit in a cool room and eat in peace.
Therefore, 5-10 minutes before the start of the meal, a queue forms in front of the entrance to the canteen, like for sausage in Soviet times. And when the time comes and the restaurant worker opens the door, they simply demolish it, so hungry guests run and take their places. One of the last days I saw a picture when an uncle of 120 kilograms of commercials ran faster than the kids to take a "place in the sun" (in our case, the floor with a conder). "There is also a bar with a billiard room, an adjacent toilet between the restaurant and the room in front of the restaurant. So some sit there in ambush (the door is glass) and watch when they start to open the doors of the restaurant and jump out of their hiding place - the toilet, and take "trump" places faster than others. As for the menu - every day the same lunch dinner: grilled chicken fillet, stew lamb or veal with potatoes, cutlets, fish, rice, French fries, stewed vegetables, fresh vegetables in assortment, tomatoes, however, half green.

They practice changing the place where fresh vegetables and pickles are placed. I just got used to where the vegetables are, but no, go look for them elsewhere. What kind of debility? Children's buffet - sausage, fries, and cucumbers, they have an interesting vision of children's food. Free ice cream for dinner! The queue is like a mausoleum. The rest of the time it can be bought for 2lira in the lobby. There are also cakes for money in the lobby. Breakfast is the same as everywhere else. From milk porridges - rice, oatmeal, semolina. Dried mulberries, prunes, dried apricots, raisins. There are 5 types of buns of different shapes, but the meaning is the same, here it could be diversified - with jam, poured with chocolate, sprinkled with coconut flakes. Fried eggs, scrambled eggs (I took it on the first day, it turned out to be half-cooked and cooked in burnt oil), Turkish sausages. Many types of cereals. There is a small selection of cheeses at any time for breakfast, lunch, and dinner . . Vegetables like everywhere else.
Tea in the dining room is only for breakfast, if you want to drink tea at dinner or lunch, go to the bar for it. We didn’t even eat sweets, I didn’t like anything. From fruits: watermelon, melon, apricots, red and green apples.
I didn’t visit a la cards and bars, I can’t say anything, only once we were in the Sultan bar and asked for non-alcoholic Mojito - for extra. fee.

BEACH: stone platforms. There are small islands between the platforms with a pebble-sand entrance to the sea. From early morning to afternoon on the beach the sun, umbrellas are small and very dilapidated, worse than on city beaches in nearby hotels. There are very few trash bins on the beach, so the cups are placed next to the sun loungers and they fly into the sea. In places where there are no platforms, there is a lot of garbage: these are gobies, and broken glass, and even a condom was seen!

Conclusion: firstly: for myself personally - I will never go to Turkey in the summer again in my life !! !
All my life I rested in May and October and managed to get me there with a 2-year-old child in the summer. Made a birthday present for a child. In the spring and autumn, for this money, I will have a chic rest in Amara. I don't understand why the prices are so crazy in the summer? ? ? Secondly: I do not recommend this hotel for families with small children, and in principle I do not recommend it to adults either. The hotel pulls more than 4 with ten minuses, definitely not 5 *. The only positive moment was when we rented a motorboat for an hour and sailed to see the islands. That's what really gave me pleasure. We are not suicidal to go on excursions in such weather, so I will not say anything about them. To see the sights, you need to go when there is no heat, in May, for example (my personal opinion, I don’t impose it on anyone, I just can’t stand the heat well)
