We finally escaped from cold Lvov to Turkey. The plane quickly carried us to Dalaman in 2 hours and 20 minutes. In another three hours we reached Marmaris and our 4-star Green Platan hotel. The road went through the mountains and it was quite scary, but the local beauties erased all fears in my head. The climate in Marmaris differs sharply from the climate of the whole of Turkey; there is no such humidity, so the heat is easier to bear. The Aegean Sea is cold, but since the temperature was high, the cold sea was just a salvation, we rested from June 5 to June 19.2008. The last two days were dying from the heat, I practically did not leave the sea. The view from the hotel and the hotel itself is picturesque - located in an area called Ciftlik. The huge lagoon never deteriorated. The weather was calm for almost all 14 days. The sea is clean and transparent bottom mixed with pebbles and sand. I recommend you will be satisfied. Only the hotel is lame in terms of food and service, otherwise it is quite tolerable. A separate story about the SPA salon - I suggest visiting the wonderful girl Mira, the hostess of the masseuse salon Anya Lena Aigulya - they were satisfied with the foam massage in the hammam and peeling - even on the penultimate day they repeated the procedure again. The sauna is decent enough. Rest was a success. We ate at a nearby restaurant - the assortment is quite large. Every evening we walked along the embankment towards the bridge and from that bridge we watched the turtles, they were also fed with bread from the hotel. I do not remember such a calm and measured rest in my last years. It was cool. Two very friendly white dogs run on the embankment. From the bridge, besides turtles, eels and snakes are observed.
