We rested from August 28 to September 4.2010. In Marmaris for the second time, last September we were at the Mares Hotel Dolphin Park & SPA 5 *. Having walked along the promenade, we were convinced that there is simply no better territory than the three hotels of the Grand Yazici chain in the area and we firmly decided to visit all three in turn. The hotels are located one by one along the sea, on the territory of a pine forest. They are buried in the shade of centuries-old pines and cedars. The combination of the sea and pine needles - the air is magical, intoxicating. Everywhere squirrels, cicadas. In a word - paradise! The simplest of the three hotels is Mares Hotel Dolphin Park & SPA, Marmaris Palace is better, and Turban Palace is considered the best. In sl. we'll go there in a year.
Now more about Marmaris Palace. The hotel is good, with a large green area, located on a gentle slope. The paths are not steep, in principle it can be recommended even to older people and with small children. Very clean, tidy. Marmaris is within easy reach, only min. 15 on dolmush, and even faster by taxi.
Traveled with Turtess. As always, no nasty surprises. Met / delivered / picked up / sent. There are no complaints about the tour operator. They work clearly, harmoniously, and are always ready to help tourists. Well done! We arrived at the hotel around 12 noon. Check-in after 14.00. $ 20 at the reception and all problems with the settlement are immediately resolved: instantly, in the main building and overlooking the sea. Room on the 5th floor, under the roof. When I read reviews, people complained that it was under the roof that it was incredibly hot and stuffy. In September it was super, besides the air conditioner worked as expected! We even turned it off at night - the balcony is open and that's enough. The room is large: a double bed and another one and a half. LCD TV. The toilet has a shower. Everything works, no problems. The furniture is in excellent condition, the floor is carpeted. Refrigerator is cold. Drinks in the minibar only on arrival. Then you can take bottled water in the bar at the reception. We were on a tour in a bungalow room. In principle, it’s also normal, a little simpler, TVs are antediluvian (but who watches them at all? ). Is it far away from everything: a restaurant, a beach, etc. But the air there is much more intense: the smell of pine needles, and flowers, and the sea. So who loves what.

They fed deliciously. The assortment is small, but all dishes are very tasty. Every day something new. Fruits: watermelons, melons, plums, grapes, apples, pears. For the service in the restaurant, I would put 5 if the dishes were not cleaned so quickly, and often, when the meal was not over. I often watched untouched plates of food being taken away when a person left for drinks. Yes, I have never been in this situation myself. Can't you see that tourists only brought food? Can you be a little more careful about your responsibilities? We visited a la carte restaurants. To make a reservation, please contact Guest Relations near the elevator at the reception. For those who only speak Russian, a very nice girl works there, who speaks Russian quite well. Reservation per person 5 Euro. All other food and drinks are free, except for drinks from the card (for example, vintage wines or foreign-made spirits). The fish restaurant pleased us with food, service, and a romantic setting by the very blue sea. The Turkish restaurant fed me for slaughter: I have never eaten such huge portions and such quantities anywhere and ever. But the location is not very good: under the relax pool, in a passable place, people are constantly scurrying back and forth, well, the music is deadly. Longing and despondency. It felt like we were at the funeral of Don Corleone. We asked the waiter several times to replace the disk. I staged similar funeral marches a couple of times, then I got hold of more or less positive Turkish music somewhere, but the disc jammed all the time. In a word, the whole impression of delicious food was completely blurred!
I was somewhat surprised by the non-compliance with the regime according to the All Incl system. For example, a bar on the pier where a disco takes place should be open until 1 am. In fact, the service was already closed at 12 at night and drinks could only be purchased for money. I consider this fact a flagrant violation. Please draw the attention of the administration to this fact.
In the foyer at the reception after 12 at night and until the morning, a table with snacks was laid: several types of cheese, sausage, tomatoes, cucumbers, drinks. Very convenient for those who like to refresh themselves at night. It has become a good tradition for us. As we said: eat sausages. Upon returning from Barov Street at 4 am, I really wanted to eat!
Most of the hotel staff are very friendly and helpful. Well, except that some waiters tried to allow themselves some liberties with tourists, but if they stopped it in time, they didn’t go further.
Animation in the hotel works in full. Another thing is that we practically did not observe her work. Sunbathing on the beach and all daytime activities by the pools. We didn't go to the evening performances either. Were once at the Miss Hotel, the victory was given to the representative of Ireland with a clear juggling of votes and facts. On this we decided not to waste time on any nonsense.

SPA in the hotel is not just expensive but very, very expensive. For example, a package of a traditional hammam-peeling-soap massage-oil massage and 4 more oil massages will be offered to you for $399, making a mocking discount of $1. Funny, by God! Well, who would go there for that kind of money? No matter how many times you come in - peace and quiet, zero customers. Packages are sold by three girls, one, especially gifted, with red hair, tries to sell the most expensive ones, completely ignoring the wishes of customers. There is no bargaining, as well as compromises. Claims to be the manager of this spa. What kind of manager is this, obviously rude to tourists, thereby repulsing the already few customers? Well, God bless her. At the counter with the sale of sea excursions, located a little further from the hotel, if you go towards Icmeler, they asked about the city bath. They offered to visit a 2-hour hammam-peeling-soap massage-oil massage program for $10!! ! Visited, impressed and ordered 5 more general oil massages. Every day we went to this hammam, they sent a car for us and brought us back to the hotel. The transfer is included in the price of the massage, 20 lira - 60 min. Massaging guys just super! Work on all 100! If anyone is interested, I can give you the phone number. and the coordinates of this magical bath.
Excursions this year were not taken, because. visited everything possible in the past. The air was +34C, the coldest day was +29C. Water +26C. The weather is super! The hotel's beach is concrete, with loose sand. Entrance to the sea along the ladders, as in the pool. Might not be very suitable for small children. The beach is large, there are a lot of sunbeds, you don’t need to borrow - there were always free ones even at the water’s edge. I can’t say anything about the pools, we spent all the time at the sea.
I recommend this hotel to everyone. Those who are accustomed to the grandiose luxury of the Antalya coast, there are simply no such De Luxe hotels in Marmaris, people come here for the unique nature and amazing microclimate. As for Marmaris hotels, the Grand Yazici chain is the best. There are no more hotels with such a large and green territory, and even in a pine forest! Next year Turban Palace - definitely!! !
