Initially, they gave the number 244. If you get one, then immediately run to refuse. I did just that, went to the reception to demand a replacement. Is free. Changed room the next day. But the noise from the street did not suit me - this room is just above the group of air conditioners (view of the neighboring hotel) and even with the door to the balcony closed, the noise of the condos is heard. I am a light sleeper and cannot sleep in a noisy environment. Moved to room 363 - there was no noise and everything was fine, although the view remained on the neighboring hotel. But I did not come to sit in the room, especially for 55 thousand per person for 13 nights - for this level of "Five" this is a great price, even at the end of the tourist season. Internet at the hotel is free, it catches in the rooms, but not everywhere - Wi-Fi no longer worked on my balcony. Meals - all inclusive. I can say about the food - very, very cool!
Serve in the dining room at the distribution of food by hotel workers, impose generously and a lot. From meat there was veal, lamb, lamb, chicken skewers, chicken roll, turkey roll, roast beef . . and I didn’t remember much, there was delicious fish along with meat: mackerel, dorado, salmon. Of the drinks, there was ayran (very good - my friend drank it every day), automatic "yupi", some local lemonade, real Coca Cola, Fanta, Schweppes, Sprite, 2 types of iced tea, many types of tea bags, a coffee machine (I drank only cappuccino and it was delicious), water in 0.5l bottles in the dining room and bar was distributed in any quantity. For dinner they gave very tasty ice cream in the dining room. From alcohol I tried only beer and a couple of cocktails (I didn’t remember the names), because I don’t drink and there was only a sporting interest. The drinks turned out to be quite normal for my taste.
The hotel has 2 swimming pools up to 2m deep (quiet and party near the embankment) and a children's paddling pool 0.5m deep (I don’t consider it a pool), there is a bar near each, there are also 2 bars at the reception, everyone went to the beach and the pier with drinks , and the staff then carefully and promptly collected cups. The beach is small, but in October there were always enough sunbeds for everyone, especially since many people sunbathed on soft sunbeds on the pier. Pillowcases on these beds were changed and washed every day. Beach branded towels were issued on cards (20 euros fine for loss) and they could be changed several times a day if desired. There were also large soft pillows on the sunbeds on the pier, but I did without them. The sunset is sandy, smooth on the beach. But I swam from the pier - I like to dive. The depth there allowed it to be done both from a place and from a running start. Nobody interfered with diving, the staff treats this positively. The pier there is magnificent - the best in Marmaris! On the pier there are soft sunbeds with removable pillowcases (changed and washed every day), music speakers in two places (so jumping into the water and just sunbathing was not boring). A guard is on duty at the pier and asks strangers to leave. On the other side of the pier there was a plastic pontoon - from there lovers of parachuting, jet skis and other entertainment rode on boats. The seller's tent with excursions and water activities is almost adjacent to the pier. Discounts on water rides were given, but very reluctantly.
In Marmaris, the Turks are generally very bad at bargaining. Probably accustomed to wealthy British and Germans. According to my observations, the Russians in the hotel were 20-25 percent, followed by the Turks and, in descending order, the British, Germans, Dutch, Belgians and Ukrainians. There was no one from Tagil. There are many youth. The animation at the hotel is sluggish - there was only water aerobics and in the evenings a couple of animators wandered around the territory to no avail - except that they tried to stick to the girls. Once I caught aqua aerobics in the sea. In the evenings, various creative groups performed on the stage by the pool every other day and it was generally impressive (20-30 minutes). There were shows with snakes, tricks with the disappearance of a person (by the way, I still didn’t understand how a tall and large girl disappeared in a box, although I sat next to the stage and tried to unravel the secret of the trick), rather cool acrobats (parkour) performed, there were national Turkish dances. Each of the 6-storey buildings of the hotel has 2 elevators, they go fast - it's very convenient.
If you go on a long excursion, then normal lunchboxes at the reception will not be given - feel free to pick up food in the dining room in advance. A little about the rooms: there are several varieties of them, I had the one that was the most simple and small in size. The room has a hair dryer, a small plasma with 2-3 Russian and fifty foreign-language channels, cleaning every day (and normal), I didn’t leave a tip - they didn’t spin the swans. The money did not disappear (the trifle forgotten on the table also remained intact). Each room has its own balcony. The air conditioner worked properly, the plumbing in the bathroom was normal, shampoos, gels and hair conditioners with shower caps were regularly replenished (I took some with me in my suitcase). The hotel has a gym - a very decent rocking chair. I made a video review about it and on my YouTube channel (called In Search of Adventure) I will try to post this review.
A 3-minute walk from the hotel is a large Migros. Before Kareffur and A101, if on foot, then 15-20 minutes to go. On the mountain above Migros there is a water park (entry 160 lire) - I was there and I will try to make a video review on it too. Between the pier and the hotel is a chic promenade. Rented mountain bikes from the hotel. 50 lira for the whole day and 25 lira for 3 hours. The bikes are in good condition and on the first day of rides we calmly drove about 50 km (I drove the entire embankment from Icmeler to the yacht parking and further to the Nimara cave on the island of Cennet). If you have any questions - write comments, I will definitely answer!
Meals: monotonous, no choice, especially for breakfast (only eggs in different versions), there are practically no seasonal fruits (only watermelon), no fermented milk products, dried fruits, one kind of cheap Turkish delight.
Beach: 50 m, 8 umbrellas on the ground and 8 umbrellas on the pier, about 70-80 places for the whole hotel, sunbeds are dirty, never turned over during 8 days of rest, the sand is not cleaned, a lot of small garbage, cigarette butts, only bottles are lifted, there are clearly not enough places, after breakfast at 7.30-8.00 there are no more places. At 17.45 they begin to close the umbrellas, walk literally on your head.
Wi-Fi: declared free everywhere, in fact - it constantly knocks out as soon as you change position, you need to reconnect and so on dozens of times a day!
Cleaning: towels were changed in the room, but the bed was never changed, the floor was dirty with sand. Dirt and dust near the elevator, in the corridor. The maids only carry a vacuum cleaner... On the floors there are extra beds just covered with a tarpaulin that need to be bypassed.
The room has a very old hair dryer. Replenishment of gel and other things not every day
There are flies in the restaurant, there are few waiters, the cleaning of dishes in the morning is very slow, therefore it is dirty. The floor is dirty, only swept, not washed. Masks are issued at the entrance to the restaurant before each meal. Queues at all locations for food.
In general, I do not recommend the hotel, if you expect service for 5, then just not here!
Service is weak. Food - monotonous, every day the same thing, sweets - zero, fruits - only watermelons and sour plums.
We booked a room with a sea view, I regretted 1000 times that I overpaid, they gave a room with a view of a mini field without greenery, only a piece of the sea was visible!
The refrigerator was full of water, flowing from somewhere, they never removed it!
The beach is narrow, the territory is small, the sun loungers are very close to each other - not comfortable at all! The sun loungers are dirty! The area near the hotel is dirty, they never washed the tiles, they only swept them, in the mornings when they passed, you could see the spilled booze dried up from the previous evening.
All in all, I wouldn't recommend it to anyone!
Although it was not yet the season, there were a lot of people in the hotel, but there was enough space for everyone on the beach and by the pools. The beaches at Marmaris hotels are almost the same in size, but Elegance has a little more and plus more space on the pier.
A good gym, professional trainers and everything is in order.
Among the shortcomings: in the mini bar of the room, only water is free.
And finally, the wisdom of life: - Friends! Wherever you come, you will not feel as good as at home! Coming to rest, relax enjoying the sea, nature and human hospitality.
Elegance is located near the center, but it is not noisy here. The staff is very polite, and the cuisine is so diverse that we never tried everything, here you will be served sea bass, tuna, trout, and salmon, in addition to this, a huge selection of meat, vegetable, cheese dishes, as well as seasonal fruits, desserts and drinks.
The beach on this part of the coast is the best, with the exception of hotels Orca, Larissa, Ichmeller village. The beach area is not large, as elsewhere in Marmaris, but compared to other hotels, it is clean, serviceable soft sun loungers with huge umbrellas and its own pier, where you can sunbathe during the day and dine in the evening (from 18.00 the pier works as another restaurant) . The contingent of the hotel is Europeans and wealthy Turks, most of them come here with their families, so it is quiet and comfortable here.
The rooms correspond to the photos on the hotel website. They are with a quality repair, air conditioning, flat TV, safe, balcony. Superficially cleaned daily, with the replacement of towels, every 3 days they do a general cleaning. So the room is clean. There are a few interruptions with the Internet, although you can access the social network without any problems.
It is better to buy excursions from local travel agencies, hotel guides inflate prices by 10-20 ye. Unfortunately, we found out about this too late. There are a lot of excursions in general and for any preferences, you should not be content with just the beach and the city, but I don’t recommend grabbing all the excursions - there is a risk for the whole vacation never to go to the sea)).
The hotel has a great gym and spa. There is a hairdresser and a shop with everything you need. There are also 3 boutiques here: designer glasses, watches and jewelry.
In addition to the general restaurant, there are also separate ones, but you need to book places there in advance.
Towels for the beach or pool can be taken from 08:00 at the reception. You can also take water from the restaurant or pool bar for free. The pools are nice and clean, popular youth music plays during the day, and in the evening there is a lounge. The territory of the hotel and the beach are divided by a promenade area. In the photo it seems wide, but in reality it is no more than 3 meters wide and the traffic on it is saturated only in the evening.
In the lobby of the hotel from 18:00 every day a jazz and blues live musician on the piano plays, which is very suitable for the image of the hotel. The reception staff does not know Russian, only very common phrases. Therefore, who does not speak English, it is better to learn some popular phrases, so as not to get into a mess. We had no problems with communication, on the contrary, this is a great opportunity to practice in English.
The hotel is fully consistent with its 5 stars, as for me. I'm not particularly picky and I'm not looking for tricks and cons, especially where there are none. Although there was a 65-year-old Muscovite with us on the beach and she was not happy with the hotel, but we were with her)
If you want comfort, peace and tranquility, feel free to choose Elegance.
The air conditioner works well. The food is quite decent, but somewhat monotonous for a 5 *. The husband was dissatisfied with the small selection of meat.
The location is great, not too far from the bar street. The water in the sea is really dirty, but we often rested near the back pool. There are few people there, and the water is practically free of bleach.
Very nice service, especially the girls in the lobby. A wonderful pianist plays in the evenings. By the way, he loves Russian classics very much, so if you don’t mind, bring him notes : )
