The beginning of the season, the hotel is not full. The meeters made a wonderful bed in the morning, and they offered a room to choose from, because they were with a small child, they offered a crib, but two large pushed beds were enough. I must say right away that the food is not for small children, this was the only negative for us.

The hotel has been renovated, the pool is clean, the staff is wonderful, the bartender is super, and most importantly the beach is really 50 meters from the hotel with its sunbeds and umbrellas. And of course our incredible Icmeler, here we are already 3 times. I would recommend this hotel to everyone and would love to come here myself.

We did not choose the hotel - due to the constant transfers of the flight, we were moved there. The hotel is in need of renovation for a long time. There are stains and mold in the room. There are no electric locks on the doors, and those that are are not always possible to open with a key due to looseness due to antiquity. There is no safe in the room at all. The furniture is old and needs to be thrown into a landfill. The TV is my age, there is no remote control, and our requests at the reception to issue it came across complete indifference. He's probably gone for a long time. Turning on the TV set without a remote control, I realized why there is no remote control - there are three programs and everything is in Turkish. The hotel is 200 meters from the beach. On the beach, he was assigned two or three rows of orange, not the first freshness mattresses. Sun loungers also deserve special attention from repairmen. The elevator is old, you close the door yourself. A restaurant or, most likely, a dining room on the ground floor - part of the hall has been allotted. The food, oddly enough, was normal, but sometimes there was not enough food for everyone. For lunch, experienced guests come in advance. In the yard there is a small pool and a bar. Please think before you buy this hotel.

Two families came to this hotel at once. There, my mother knew English well and she freely communicated with the administrator, asked to give her a good number. The surprise was in the morning when we woke up and in the sunlight we saw all the delights of the room. Firstly, the room is very dirty, the head of the bed is in some kind (I won’t write in what), the furniture is terrible, everything crumbles, peels off... The TV is for show: it doesn’t work. And then - there is no water, neither cold nor hot. They went downstairs, began to demand another number, they said that there were no others. When asked about the lack of water, they said that after breakfast there would be water? ! True, then there were no interruptions in water supply. A curtain in the shower (if you can call it that). There was only one cleaning during the stay. Towels went to change themselves. In general, no comments. The food is very spicy. They ate watermelons. The only plus is the proximity to the sea.

The overall impression of the rest is very good. There is really nothing to do in the hotel. Well, who will lie in the room when there is such a beauty all around !! ! And what about boat trips on Bar Street !! ! Of course, girls, it’s better not to mess with the local population and not go to the local disco in Icmeler, well, or be extremely careful, because if a fight breaks out or someone starts pestering you, no one will help you, because if the police sweep away everyone at once))) And in general, going to Turkey without men is fraught))) The hotel does not have its own beach, but there is a paid beach of a nearby hotel (with paid sun loungers and drinks) and a little further away the city beach, on which there is also you need to be very careful (the local population hates tourists - this is 1000%), so it's better to pay and enjoy your vacation on a sun lounger.

We were settled under the roof - the specific stench and heat forced us to "pull out" the room on the floor below. Later, 2 guys from St. Petersburg arrived and they settled in some kind of storage room on the 1st floor. The good thing is that we looked at the so-called kitchen already on the last night, before leaving the hotel. If we had looked there earlier, I don’t know where we would have had to eat. The service staff does not speak Russian at all. The rooms were cleaned by some miserable Turk, who is not a belmes. We wouldn't go there the second time. The Germans lived in the hotel, yelling at night like crazy . . they also say the Russians behave disgustingly. I liked Ichmeler himself. To compare hotels, we went to Marmaris to the Adler Hotel, where our friends stayed - no comparison with Portofino, although Adler is ***.

Portofino is valued differently, it became clear to me from conversations with tourists. A couple from the Krasnodar Territory, who had previously rested in other hotels, said that it was a small, cozy hotel, very pleasant and not pretending to be pathos. Initially, I was disappointed in the room. We were settled on the 4th floor, the ceiling was lined with wooden clapboard, a small room, the shower was closed only with a curtain, hot water was in the morning and evening from 6 to 10.

Initially, I was disappointed in the room. We were settled on the 4th floor, the ceiling was lined with wooden clapboard, a small room, the shower was closed only with a curtain, hot water was in the morning and evening from 6 to 10. But the view from the balcony is gorgeous...
Then we asked to be relocated, they gave us a room on the 2nd floor, it was already much more comfortable there, more space, more bed, better shower, by the way, there was always hot water during our entire vacation. The radio did not work and there was no TV in this room. But he is not needed... they did not come there to watch TV. But there are no normal air conditioners in the hotel, only a system from which cool air blew. And the balcony was already facing the bar, where music was blaring until 12 o'clock.
The food was simple, tasty and a lot... unlike other hotels. I know not by hearsay. The bar is open from 10 am to 11 pm, there was red and white wine, beer similar to our lemonade, Russian vodka and raki, gin and tonic and orange vodka. In Icmeler and Marmaris, the Turks are very fond of tips (bashish), they live on it, because they earn very little. After you put $1 in a tip box, they immediately pour a stronger beer, fill the glasses to the brim and become VERY helpful.
We had big problems with the beach. On the first day, we paid 3 dollars (5 liras) for the beach and they put us on sunbeds near the sea. In the afternoon at a meeting with our guide Pavel (excellent guide) and a good tour operator by the way (Riviera Intourist), we found out that the beach is free. Pavel went to the beach, dealt with the Turks, they returned the money to us and for 3 days we sunbathed on the beach for free. But the local Turks constantly asked us to lie down on sunbeds away from the sea, they wanted us to pay and sell good places to tourists not from Portofino. 3 days before departure, we were moved to another place, closer to the road on broken sunbeds, so we began to sunbathe around the pool. Before leaving, the beach became paid for Portofino tourists as well. All beaches in Icmeler are PAID!! ! Get your money ready.
The sea is cool there, because the springs are beating, but it refreshes very well and then we were delighted with this coolness. We asked our guide the question on which sea we are resting. It turns out at the confluence of 2 seas: the Aegean and the Mediterranean. You can go up the road to the trail of lovers, there is a gorgeous view of the open sea and Paradise Island, which just separates the 2 seas. Mediterranean on the right, Aegean on the left. You will not have to go long - 20 minutes, but it is VERY hot during the day.
I went to the Turkish bath from a local travel company, located next to the Portofino hotel. The guide's name is Roman, I gave 20 dollars. We sat in the bath for about 20 minutes, with their traditional washcloth they massaged me very quickly. The foam massage didn't take long either. But the oil massage lasted 25 minutes. After that, we all went downstairs and were taken back. Go to the bath, after it the tan lies more evenly and lasts longer. Only I was so relaxed all evening that I didn’t want anything. Go to the bath in the evening.
Worth going to the bar street. During the day there is an indoor market and the streets change their appearance. But at night you won't recognize this street. Entrance to all clubs is free, everything goes into drinks (expensive), you can choose the style of music and the club yourself, the clubs are huge, there are VERY many young people in the open air, the party is magnificent, Russians are allowed into the clubs right away. From the hotel there is a free shuttle, the guy walks offers to take you there, his name is David. It will be free for you. He will bring you back by bus, around 4 am.
From Icmeler to Marmaris stretches walking street (promenade), the most beautiful, cafes work day and night and barkers will not leave you alone. You can rent a bike ($10 for 1 day) and ride the street from start to finish. Its length is 14 km.
More about the hotel. For unpretentious tourists who have not lived in 5 stars before, this is a good and economical place. The administrators, at your request, will do everything if they like you or put you in a box, bashish. In the evenings, by the way, a guy entertains there, his name is Ali, he dances Turkish dances. But if that doesn't suit you, you can go to the nearest cafe and watch a Michael Jackson show, smoke a hookah or just sit on the beach.
Marmaris and Icmeler are Turkish Ibiza. After this place, you should not go to Turkey ANYWHERE.

The Portofino Hotel did not disappoint us. In October, we were the only representatives of Russia in this hotel (only at the reception knew about this). True, we did not particularly stand out from the “environment” around us. The attitude of other guests was friendly, until the third day the bartender decided to clarify where we came from. (For some reason, everyone decided that we were Poles). We had to admit - from Russia. Interestingly, the attitude of the whole hotel has changed towards us. From friendly, it became emphatically politely detached. We concluded that they do not like our tourists here. It was a little annoying to go up to the fifth floor, because the elevator was turned off, but on the other hand there was a gorgeous view from the balcony of the mountains, the city and the neighboring hotel. A couple of days before our departure, it (the elevator) was still turned on, and we realized how quiet and good we lived. Before that, we were awakened by the Muezzin's recitative and the cry of roosters (6:30). The elevator began to be used much earlier. No. 412 is located next to the elevator shaft. Our room had a shower without a curtain. Fan was present. From toilet. supplies soap and toilet paper. All plumbing worked properly, everything is clean. Cleaned regularly, but we did not litter. We were fed simply delicious. From the drinks in the bar: rakia (aniseed vodka), dry white wine (high-quality), red wine (didn’t like it), beer (didn’t like it, but all foreigners drank it in large quantities), gin appeared two days before departure. I was surprised by the prices for alcoholic beverages in supermarkets and shops in Icmeler and Marmaris (from 14 lira - a little expensive). But we found everything we needed in the area of the old city, not far from the fortress. We spent one day in Icmeler itself. Went to all the beaches. The best in the area where there are no hotels, on the isthmus. For $ 4: two sunbeds + umbrella + tea and cakes + for the whole day. The cleanest sea, sand, air. But the sea is uninteresting, swimming is boring. I liked walking around Marmaris: the embankment, the old town area, the fortress (we had free admission, very beautiful views), an indoor market. There were bars on the street during the day and in the evening, so I can’t say anything interesting about it. From Odeon-tour we went Ephesus-Pomukale (cost $140 per person). In general, I liked everything. Especially bathing in mineral springs. But our guide Abdurakhman obviously went too far with shopping centers. There were three on each of the two days. Irritated by the prices. Leather products are more expensive than in Germany. Onyx products are several times more expensive than Moscow ones, ceramic products in the shopping center where they are supposedly produced are much more expensive than in Icmeler and Marmaris in the market (I asked the price in the market in advance, because I was interested in ceramics). As a result, the sightseeing objects themselves were spent: Ephesus - 2 hours, Pamukale + Hieropolis 2 hours. 40 minutes. Abdurakhman broadcast information on Ephesus one to one with a guidebook. And somewhere in a hurry. This was his last tour group. Tired, go, for the season all. And we would have another hour to wander through the ruins, to join the history. We, in fact, went to Turkey for this. From local tour. agencies (Roman, next to the hotel) went to the hammam. We were done in 1 hour. 30 instead of the promised 3 hours. Hammam of the Rasa bach hotel: they offered to undress to swimwear, 10 minutes sauna, 15 minutes washed and rinsed on a warm stone, 20 minutes. – relaxation with tea (for two cups 6 lira), 20 min. massage with fragrant oil. And that's it. They told me to get dressed. The minibus driver took us to the hotel where we were picked up. All pleasure $30 for two. In Ephesus-Pamukala, therefore, we went with our tour operator, despite the fact that the local tour operator had a cost of $ 108 per person. I really liked the boat trip around the bays of the Aegean Sea. They took it on the corner of the beach closest to Portofino for 15 lira per person. From 10:00 to 17:00 with lunch in a beautiful place. It was sunny but not hot. Out of 25 people, we and 2-3 other couples swam. The rest just lay on the deck - sunbathing. Aeroflot-Don clearly fulfilled all of its flight obligations. Departure from Sheremetyevo was delayed by only 40 minutes. The flight took place as usual. Everything was fine. I was struck by the emptiness and sterile cleanliness of Dalaman Airport. By the way, this sterility at first struck in all public toilets. But since we spent all the time on excursions, we quickly got used to it. Upon returning to Moscow, I had to wean.

The hotel is so-so. Attitude towards Russians is not very good. It can be seen that not much has changed over time. Linen was changed with difficulty in 10 days. and then after the "barked". Service staff are Kurds, impudent. They complained that Russians don't leave tips. So it would be for that! Pluses - the proximity of the sea, the truth is cold, the food is nothing like that, the rest was saved by the guys from Krasnodar - the Meskhetian Turks living there.
