The whole family.
Perhaps the worst thing was when I realized that my children would be hungry here.
The last time I saw this was in Soviet sanatoriums in the Crimea.
We were shocked as soon as we crossed the threshold of the hotel.
I am writing to warn other families who are planning their holidays with their families. You can’t come here with children at all - I’m talking about food and drinks.
We suffered from the irresponsibility of our travel agent and outdated information on the Internet.
Who? Who assigned Dora beach 4 *. Here you can’t talk about stars at all. Is there anything below 3*?
Photos will tell the rest.
Coming to the beach by 9.00 you can claim sunbeds 5-6 rows, at 10.00 - all places are occupied, you can not come to the beach. In addition, I bring clarity - the accuracy on the beach is such - as if it were the city beach of Alushta (anthill). The pool is tiny, there are 10-12 trestle beds near it, as a rule, children bathe in it. The quality of the sea (lagoon-no waves) in Marmaris leaves much to be desired - a variant of our lakes with mud deposits on the bottom. Here (the beach of the hotel) is somewhat worse - all city drains go to the beach. In addition to the turtle swimming in the morning, tires from cars lie at the bottom of the beach. This is really a garbage dump, garbage settled at the bottom, combined with settled clear water. The color of the water is accordingly black, turquoise has long disappeared.
Let's move on to the number fund. We arrived at 16.30, waited 45 minutes for check-in, despite the fact that the bonus premium ($) was invested in the passports. Room 209 (the last remaining as it was said) is a swollen, peeling laminate, falling apart furniture with a retro refrigerator and, in contrast to everything, a plasma TV set by someone. Ancient, humming air conditioner. The room was terribly smoky. The bathroom is the level of a student hostel, protruding wires (wrapped with tape) from a once-existing outlet. The tiles on the walls are retro, we sold this in stores in the late 80s, then they were taken out of production. The height of the ceiling in the bathroom is less than 2 meters. The view from the balcony is frontal (the rooms of the neighboring hotel are 20 meters), under the balcony there is a utility block on top of which a tarpaulin is stretched.
Once in the room you find yourself in a stupor - can this really be! Then you decide - to go to scandal or try to settle down in this miracle, because you came to rest. We did not make a fuss and did the right thing. later found out that this is not the worst option in this hotel!
Food - the level of a very weak 3 *, some discomfort causes the need to order a dish and wait until it is brought, this is due to saving food, and not with increased service. Buffet only for breakfast, for lunch and dinner it applies only to salads, bread, soup, sweets. Hotel recommendations - it's better not to get into it, but if this happens - the higher the floor, the less noise from the utility block, the reverse side - on the upper floors you will have problems with WiFi.
General recommendations for holidays in Marmaris - buy a cheap hotel on lines 2-3, you can walk along the sea in the evening, no matter which line the hotel is on. As for the sea - it's better to go to Icmeler (5km) - turquoise water, great beach. Overhead costs - taxi - $ 5 one way - they bring you directly to the beach, I didn’t know how much the minibus (minibus with an orange stripe) costs - it goes at intervals of 10-15 minutes.
On a paid beach, a sunbed will cost you 3-5 USD. this price includes a cup of coffee or a soft drink. There is also a relatively clean city beach if you are ready to do without sunbeds and umbrellas.
Personal impressions - due to additional expenses, we smoothed out the negative from the hotel as much as possible, I consider the best option to choose a hotel and relax in Icmeler and not in Marmaris (you can come here for a walk), beaches located on the right side of Icmeler are preferable - if you stand with your back to the sea. Walking along the promenade from Icmeler to Dora Beach Hotel 4 * took 40-45 minutes. I wish you success!
The wallet was in the room in a bag with a padlock. It was useless to put it in the safe, because the paper that is given upon check-in says ATTENTION: THE HOTEL ADMINISTRATION IS NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR VALUES BOTH IN THE SAFE AND OUTSIDE IT.
I called the police, they arrived, they made a report, but either the manager or the owner turned on the fool: Prove that money was stolen from you.
All in all, I got it. Nobody will return anything. Just thieves!
Thanks to the hotel guide, who provided me with maximum assistance. But her efforts did not help either.
The hotel itself does not have ANY STAR on the facade. It's just a scam about 4 stars. There are hotels nearby with 4 stars on the facade, and in comparison with them, Dora looks like a Khrushchev among elite houses.
The lock in the room is purely symbolic, it's even better on my mailbox.
The panel into which the key fob is inserted hangs on snot, so the electricity in the room periodically turns off. And in general it is life-threatening - sometimes it sparkles, as if during a short circuit.
Everything in the room is old. The air conditioner made of yellowed plastic roars so that it is impossible to sleep. And it can't be turned off. I talked about it 3 times, maybe even today they will fix it.
Tried to ask for a lunch box before going on a full day excursion. Refused. But after the intervention of the hotel guide agreed. Anastasia from Tuya, Thank you very much!!!!
As a result, the lunch box was not prepared in the morning, but they did me a big favor - they gave me a box prepared for another room.
I will not dissuade anyone from this "hotel", it's up to you. But know that neither you nor your valuables are protected in ANY WAY. You can be robbed and you have nothing to prove. I was told that my case is already the fourth.
I heard from two hotel employees that he was not good and that there was nothing to go here.
The sea is very close and it's just super. The beach is crowded, there is a lot of garbage in the sand.
The food is ok, expected the worst.
Have a nice holiday everyone! And I'm not going to Turkey again! Moreover, visa-free travel has opened up many alternatives in Europe.
