The beaches in Marmaris are almost all "paid". You should buy some kind of drink so that you will not be touched for the whole day, and perhaps also an excursion, if the "Master" of this beach so desires. It is far to go to the municipal beach, it is not equipped at all. Lying on your towel will not work either, since these "paid" beaches place their sunbeds in such a way that there is not even a place to sit there. In general, such impressions from the rest in this hotel remained with me. The region is excellent, but it is better to consider hotels that are located in Icmeler. We settled in immediately, which could not but please after a long journey, the room is small, two small rooms, on the 3rd floor overlooking the pool and a piece of mountains. The room has two single beds (we immediately moved them into one ourselves, it’s useless to ask the staff, they don’t speak Russian here), a wardrobe with a bedside table, a balcony, a second room, like a kitchen-studio, a small kitchenette (electric stove, mini-fridge , cabinets, pans and other kitchen utensils), in the second part of the room there is a sofa, a TV. The bathroom has a shower, plumbing fixtures, a sink, there are no gels and shampoos, but we didn’t count on them, we went with our own. Good free wi-fi throughout the hotel, in the room there was a good signal from the balcony.
The contingent of vacationers is foreigners: there are very few Germans, Europeans, Balts, Russians, so the hotel lives a lazy, calm life without animation and entertainment on the territory. Usually during the day, vacationers sunbathe by the pool, and in the evening they go for walks around the city, so this should also be taken into account when choosing.
I won’t say anything about food, we bought food in nearby supermarkets and cooked it ourselves, the prices allowed, there are no very expensive products, except for alcohol and cigarettes, so it’s better to prepare for this in advance and take a supply with you, or stock up in duty free.
The nearest beaches are no more than 10 minutes walk, there is a city beach for free, there are no sunbeds, but you can sit on towels, if you need comfort, you can ask around on the beaches of other hotels, where it is not crowded, for 2-3 dollars they will be allowed to rent a sun lounger with an umbrella. The sea is excellent, calm, clean and without waves, Marmaris is in the bay, for which we love it.
Of course, every evening we walked, it’s not far from the busy streets, next to the embankment, I know, from the neighboring hotel Irmak, even in the evenings there was a free bus that takes party lovers to the bar street. Shopping will not work here, everything is good, but much more expensive than in Russia, especially leather. We went on three excursions, booked in advance so that the child would not look for where to buy them, on the recommendation of friends, we independently booked them on the Daisy Tour website, confirmed the SMS upon arrival and went to Dalyan, the islands of the Aegean Sea and Ephesus, all three trips are different, but interesting in their own way, special thanks to Alena for interesting information during the excursions and the company for a gift trip to the water park, we were pleased.
In this hotel we felt more like in a rented apartment, at home. But you can’t rent an apartment in this region for such an amount, so we were completely satisfied with our vacation!
