Upon arrival, the bungalow we had paid for was occupied and we were placed in a room on the second floor in the central building. We were given a room with a non-working air conditioner; the room was hot and humid, like in a Russian steam room.
The night porter named Nazar first said that we had set the air conditioner incorrectly, and then, when we asked him to do it himself, that the air conditioner was about to start working. As it turned out later, he was simply lying to us, looking honestly into our eyes. The hotel's air conditioning system is centralized, and at least the air conditioning in a group of rooms was out of order, which was later confirmed during conversations with other tourists, although the hotel is new. It was also stuffy in the central hall, and everything was repaired only in the morning, around ten o’clock. We were moved to the bungalow only at 14:00.
The photographs of the Elamir Beach Bungalow presented on the hotel website look impressive, but do not correspond much to what we have now.
These same “bungalows” - frames, lined with clapboard on the inside and slab on the outside, resemble dilapidated country houses of the 60-70s, and have long been in need of repair. There are large gaps between the boards at the bottom, so local cats live under the houses. See photo.
The bungalows are located very close to each other at a distance of 3-4 meters. There are a total of 9 houses of different sizes: No. 1 and 2 for three people, No. 3-4 for four people, No. 5-7 for two people. Houses No. 8-9 are very tiny, just booths.
The bungalows are located on a small, very polluted plot of land, which borders on a dusty parking lot for regular buses and minibuses; in addition, tourists are brought there to the beach from neighboring hotels. Traffic in the parking lot does not stop from early morning until late at night.
Opposite is an entertainment area.
Three meters from bungalow No. 2 there is a stage and a dance floor, three to four meters from bungalow No. 3 there is a utility block for servicing entertainment events. This utility block includes a warehouse, refrigerators, serving tables and various household equipment and, of course, a tank for food waste, which stands opposite the entrance to bungalow No. 3. There is dirt, garbage, plastic dishes everywhere, no one cleans it up.
We complained about the dirt, but it didn't get any cleaner in a week.
Weddings are held at this venue on Saturdays and Sundays. On Saturday, the wedding took place until one in the morning, with the guests seeing off to the sound of drums for 20 minutes, and then cleaning the area with screams and noise until three in the morning. On Sunday, the wedding lasted until 11 pm and cleanup until 1 am.
This hotel has a habit of placing you in a worse room than the one you booked, explaining that there are no rooms available.
The bungalows in this hotel are constantly used as a flexible fund when there is a shortage of rooms in the central building and you can be stuck there for an indefinite time, after which you can finally be moved. This is, of course, very inconvenient for vacationers; it’s a pity that Biblik and other tour operators do not react to this in any way.
The advantage of the hotel is its good location near the sea (300 meters, no more than 100 meters from the bungalows) and a good beach, where there are always free sun loungers.
Food – you won’t go hungry, but nothing more. If you can’t do without meat, come to the opening at lunch and dinner, otherwise all your meat will be eaten without you.
Regarding animation and other things, I won’t say anything, since this was not in demand by us.
In general, this hotel clearly inflates the price tag, especially for bungalows; based on the quality of service, in Kemer you can find better options for the same money.
