I work in the tourist industry and therefore often see and live in different hotels in different countries. The Marco Polo Hotel has always had a positive attitude, as a mid-range hotel with ultra all-inclusive. I came to this hotel not to relax, but to see all the hotels in Kirish, Cham Yuva and Tekirova, which I successfully managed to do. I saw almost all the hotels, I could compare. And that's what I understood.
Hotel Marco Polo does not pretend to be an average hotel. It's not exactly bad, but very old, the furniture too. This old age is felt everywhere and constantly oppresses. Ultra is not ultra at all. There are no imported drinks even for money, fresh juices, too, in the restaurant the choice of dishes is clearly not ultra. Gentlemen, tour operators, do not lie to tourists and everything will be ok. It's just not bad "all inclusive", I emphasize the word "not bad", but not ultra, that's for sure.
The territory is very large, mostly beautiful, but two-thirds of it is simply not used and, in principle, fenced off from the main hotel, new buildings are being built there. Here they will be just super, everything is done very beautifully. But far from the sea.

A la carte. In Turkish, which is basically outside the territory of the main hotel, the furniture is so old that it's just scary to sit on it. In addition, it is not painted and is exposed to rain and sun. Can you imagine what she looks like? But maybe it’s so conceived, then I don’t understand anything about the design of a la carte restaurants. Italian in the building of the central restaurant. Nothing special, but I liked it. Fish is located near the beach in the open air and if you booked it, but it started to rain, then your reservation was lost.
Animation. For 7 nights there was one very beautiful show, from which I could not tear myself away. The rest of the show is a brawl of animators on stage. Sometimes cool, but completely unprofessional. Not a single invited team for all the time. There is a bar nearby. So in the evening, during the show, bartenders, mocking the work of animators, did something unusual right behind the counter, giving out alcohol. There really was something to see. Bartenders 5 plus, especially Yesufu.
Bar. For the first time in hundreds of trips, I couldn't find a drink or cocktail that I liked. Gin and tonic is some kind of vodka with a local tonic, absolutely not the same taste. Martini is some kind of white expired very fortified wine of local production, I don’t drink vodka. All that's left is a whiskey-cola and a Marco Polo cocktail. If it is green, then even tasty, the rest are not. And on ultra, at least some drinks must be imported. This is what ultra is.
Restaurant. The breakfast is great. And what do you need for breakfast? But there were no juices, but ultra. The disadvantage of breakfast is that huge wasps often fly over your plates, I have never seen such ones before. Sitting down is just not possible, it's scary. Lunch and dinner for a simple "ol inclusive" is normal, for ultra nothing at all, especially dinner. Only once there was a semblance of ultra, when there was a Turkish night. By the way, that night the animators staged "Mis Marco Polo" and only at the end one of the animators danced a belly dance. Here is such a "Turkish night".
There is a moonlight bar on the beach that had live music once. One guy on the guitar. Liked. But why only once? And why wasn't the bar open at that time? And when people went to the main bar for drinks, the impression of a passage courtyard was created.

Sea, nature. This is super. I really love this whole region of Turkey. This is nowhere else. And although it is difficult to enter the sea from the shore, the pebbles interfere, but there are 2 stairs on the pier, which are good to go down and up.
Conclusion. If I came there for the first time after the Crimea, then probably my jaw would have dropped and I would have thought that I was in paradise. And when you start to compare (especially since I saw almost all the hotels in Kemer this week), you understand how far this hotel is from 5 stars, and even more so ultra. I'm probably already pissed too.
