There are 4 of them in total. The bottom is rocky everywhere, due to which such an amazing color of water! Small pebbles are strewn on the shore, but it’s still not comfortable to enter the water from the shore (unless you immediately flop and swim). Each beach has a wooden pontoon with very comfortable: soft and non-slip (wrapped with a special coating) steps.
1) The main one is the noisiest and most crowded, opposite the pool and beach bar (everything in the bar is for an extra charge).
There is music during the day and many families with children. . .
2) Pasha Beach - in fact, this is a continuation of the main one, but it is a little quieter there.
3) A “quiet” beach for adults only (they saw how the administrator politely asked teenagers to leave the beach) - go there along a wooden bridge, through a gate. There is no bar here, it is forbidden to use mobile phones and speak loudly... a very beautiful cove + 2 amazing wooden platforms on the water. There are also spa cabins for treatments... here in the evening the sun stays the longest. The best beach!! ! if you don't have kids and don't need a bar of course : )
4) Serenity beach - a distant beach, where you need to go along a forest path 700-800 meters or you need to sail on a boat (runs according to the schedule). Very beautiful bay, has its own bar with drinks and lunch (limited choice of 2-4 grilled dishes)
It is unrealistic to describe the beauty of the beaches and the nature around, even the photo does not convey the beauty of this place.
Now in order. . .
Every year we have a “stable” vacation in Turkey, but on the Antalya coast and, alas, in fairly budget fives...
And this year we were offered a “burning tour” refusal, it was a sin not to take advantage of such a chance (for the full price we would not have got here).
This is a unique place: a separate picturesque bay surrounded by mountains overgrown with needles. The color of the water is the whole gamut of shades from dark blue to light turquoise. . . People come here specially on boats (large and small) to enjoy this beauty. . .
The hotel itself is a building perched like a swallow's nest on the rocks... I'll write honestly, I was extremely surprised when they showed us the "living conditions". The room is arranged according to the principle of a summer house: an open terrace, from which the entrance to a tiny bedroom and the entrance to the bathroom, and without a door... The number of steps that you need to overcome to get to the beach, and most importantly, then home, is beyond count. . . (although there are 2 funiculars on the territory, which cannot but rejoice)... But when you sit on this terrace in the evening with a cigarette and admire the sunset, you forget about everything in the world!
It is worth noting that the hotel operates on the “FB +” food system, hitherto unknown and fearful to me. This means 3 meals a day with the option to order drinks (wine, beer, non-alcoholic. . . ) while eating in the main restaurant. Of course, "we had it with us", but what is included is quite enough for a good rest : )
I was very struck by the contingent of vacationers, for the first time I saw so many foreigners in Turkey and so few Russian-speaking ones. Moreover, the audience is very decent: not glamorous (you don’t have to dress up in a restaurant), but rather decent and intelligent...
Separately about Fethiye. I think that in Turkey this resort is better than others, because the climate itself is better, and there is a lot of greenery. When you get off the plane in Dalaman, you immediately feel how fresh and healthy the air is here.
The location of the hotel. Fabulous!! ! A very beautiful bay. Green mountains and clear sea.
Hotel rooms. We lived in a two-room apartment, because we traveled with two children. The room is very interestingly planned. You immediately enter a large balcony with a sofa and a table, from which you have access to a large bedroom with a dressing room, a small nursery and a shower-toilet. Very spacious and beautiful. From the balcony there is a beautiful view of the sea. The only downside is the tiles on the floor are cold. Worried that the children might catch a cold. Mine don't walk in slippers. But in the end everything was fine.
Beach. Small pebble. I am one of those who love good pebbles more than we wash sand, because the water does not get cloudy from it : ) The sea is VERY transparent and beautiful. A lot of fish swim near the shore - the duti like to feed them with a bun. We were only on the main beach as we were with children. The hotel has two more beaches, which are a little further, only for adults. Very beautiful, complete relaxation. Those who go there for a quiet holiday may not worry - there is where to hide from noisy children. : )
Nutrition. Not very varied, but tasty. I ate fish and grilled chicken. Delicious watermelons and melons. There are also plums, apples, bananas, strawberries, grapes. Lots of different sweets. In the evenings, they bake delicious pizza and serve ice cream. This is the main restaurant. I won’t say anything about non-basic ones, because we decided not to go there with small active children.
Kids club. GREAT!! ! The club is closed so that the child will not go anywhere without an adult. : ) there is a small shallow pool - "paddling pool" with a bunch of colorful balls, as well as a deeper pool with 4 slides. My children were delighted. there is also a huge sandbox with a bunch of toys, a room with mats of different sizes (children love to run and fool around there), a TV area (cartoon consoles), a table with a Lego constructor, a playground with a basketball hoop. When we were there, the territory of the children's club seemed to be expanding even more, so something new will appear. Separately, I note the staff of the club - well done !! ! There are really a lot of them. They constantly organize various games both in the water and "on land", weave, glue, draw, paint children, do their hair, put together puzzles and much more. and what is very important - they carefully watch that all the children are smeared with sun cream, do not freeze in the pool and simply do not get bored. : )
Even at the hotel - all kinds of animation, water sports and some other sports (they didn’t go into details, because there was no time with the children), various theme parties are held, etc.
Summary - the hotel is WONDERFUL. It is very good to go there with children, but I would love to go there in an adult company. The main advantages are the incredible beauty of nature, very cultured (and this is rare for Turkey) staff. The contingent - a lot of Austrians, Germans, British, a few Turks. Russia and Ukraine - somewhere around 30 percent.
I advise you to go. I personally go there again. : )
First of all, about the pros: 1) the sea is really worth going there at least once more. I will say more, warm (+30), transparent (in the sun shimmers with mica crystals), absolutely no waves in any weather.
2) I liked the animation program and its organization. During the week of the event, no event was repeated, for each audience its entertainment. If you want noisy concerts, go to the amphitheater for gala programs; you love romantic evenings by candlelight, dinner at an a la carte restaurant with a local paparazzi who constantly takes pictures of everyone and everywhere; or you can just drink a cocktail to listen to live jazz at the beach bar. You will learn about all the events in the hotel during the day from the hotel newspaper, which is distributed to everyone at breakfast.
And now about the cons. Honestly, there is nothing extraordinary in the hotel, so $ 5.000 for two a week (excluding hotel expenses) is too much.
Immediately represent exotic countries for less money. My husband and I once chose the HYATT chain, and it seems that in almost any country in the world a week at HYATT is cheaper than $ 5.000 (and the service of these hotels is a step above HILLSIDE).
The hotel offers almost no excursion programs, even individual, even for an additional fee. And Fethiye has something to see, believe me.
Prejudice against Ukrainians and Russians. If a British or Turkish family is sitting next to you in a restaurant, they run up to them and unnecessarily look in "one place", you are ignored. Aren't we snobs, and aren't lazy Ukrainians worse than British pounds? : )))
In general, I enjoyed the holiday, but in HILLSIDE is unlikely to return again! Well, probably three, with a baby doll, because it's really a paradise for children! ! ! ! ! : )))
First, about the pros: VERY BEAUTIFUL LOCATION AND BEACH!!!!!!!!! ! VERY TASTY FOOD!!!! ! A very atmospheric place - you instantly have a good mood, and it does not pass during the whole rest. Good animation, and if you and your children have a company, in the evenings it's just a lot of fun. The audience is very decent, there is no predominance of one nationality, for example, only Germans or only Russians. There are British, Germans, Belgians, Dutch, very intelligent Turks from Istanbul, very few Russians and Ukrainians. Which is very positive, no one is bothering anyone. Everyone is very polite and no incidents. There are families with small children - there are with teenagers, and there are many just young people of student age - but everything is decent.
You can do sports as much as you like - the staff will be very enthusiastic to train you in whatever you want. The town of Fethiye is not far, 10 minutes by taxi, so you can walk for a change.
The rooms are very simple, but comfortable, although some are located very high on the mountainside - but somehow you quickly get used to it. The service is attentive and fast, the staff does everything willingly and with a smile. For Russian-speaking tourists who do not speak English, there is a Russian girl at the reception, but she works in our way, so it's better to do everything through the Turks. Kid's club is not bad, but you have to pay separately for all activities.
I must say that many come to Hillside 2-3 times in a row.
Of course, there are also disadvantages:
1. The number of people could easily be reduced by at least 1/3. Too many rooms for this area.
2. There is only one pool.
3. There is practically only one restaurant (albeit a very good one), and it is very noisy and crowded during peak hours.
4. You have to pay extra for many things: for example, for lunch at a restaurant on the beach, or for sports or children's entertainment.
5. Compared to other hotels in Turkey, this one is a bit expensive (there is a difference in price for the Russian-speaking market and for the European one). We live in Europe, a week in this hotel costs us 1.7 times cheaper than my friends who booked it through Teztour. But, probably, this is in order to weed out the unwanted mass audience.
In general, this hotel can be safely recommended, I think its main value is a pleasant atmosphere and, as a result, a good rest.
