You can walk along the sea 500 meters to the left (if you stand with your back to the hotel and face the sea), there are more expensive hotels and the beach is a little better. The beaches are municipal, tourists are not kicked out, but sunbeds will not be free. There are no sun loungers and umbrellas at the Victoria Hotel on the beach, even for money. I read early reviews, they write that there is, but I write about the rest in 2014.

The contingent of the hotel - Turks and a few Englishmen, no Russians. Only one girl at the reception speaks English and, God forgive me, the animator. Animation consists in gathering players for volleyball, including water, as well as gathering those who wish to a disco in Bodrum. Everything. There are no Turkish evenings, live music or kids club in the hotel!!!
The declared hammam, sauna and gym... In the hammam the stone is cold and never hot, they said that there is no heating in the hotel and such a hammam is a normal phenomenon. After visiting the historical hammams in Istanbul, I was simply shocked by such a statement, it's like a Russian bath without a stove, or how to wash in a bath in a basin in the absence of hot water. I didn’t go to the sauna - I don’t know. The gym is dark, stuffy, smells of sweat and bulls are lying around.
Accommodation: brought to the hotel at 5 am, they said that they would check in only at 2 pm and they would feed only after check in !! ! And this despite the fact that we had a child of 3 years with us. I asked for at least water - at first they refused even water, but then it turned out that the reason was ignorance of English. At the reception they just said - mani, mani (that is, for breakfast before checking in, they asked for $ 10 per person, regardless of age). As a result, settled at 12.00.
The hotel has no territory, only a small area around the pool.
What's good? Not far from the airport, two-room suites (regardless of the number of people), food for 3 * is not the worst - at least they did not starve and did not get poisoned. Although we didn’t see meat, that is, there were always some kind of breaded cutlets (either chicken or soybeans), in the last two days they gave chicken, but we didn’t have time to take it))) Beer undiluted, always melons and watermelons, and a lot of vegetables, two afternoon snacks between lunch and dinner - the first is snacks, the second is muffins.
The rooms are clean and quite comfortable, towels and bed linen are snow-white. Cleaned every 3 days, towels need to be thrown on the floor (I never understood this) and it is also important not to miss the day of cleaning - leave the key.
Theft was not noticed.
The pool is cleaned and it is quite deep - about 1.55 m. That is, just standing in the pool is difficult. For some this is a plus, for others a minus.
The staff, except for the front desk, are friendly and willing to help.
Music throughout the hotel from 10 am to 11 pm, quite loud and furious, 50% consists of Turkish hits, which by the end of the holiday merge into one single oriental motive.
They take you to the disco at 11 pm and it lasts until 4 am, 25 lira per person. You can go - they will bring it, they will take it, if they help and tell you something, but taking into account the fact that all discos in Bodrum are free, you pay only for the transfer, and for the transfer it is a little expensive.
Well, one more thing: air conditioning in the room is only in the bedroom, if there are a lot of you and someone is sleeping in the living room, it can be stuffy. The Turkish neighbors prevented us from opening the balcony and breathing the sea air;
Separate "praise" I want to honor the guides Koral and Sanmar. The girl Zhenya, who took tourists to 3 hotels (we were the second), did not know where the hotel was, and when she heard that we would not be settled and fed until 2 o'clock in the afternoon, she waved it off with the words "I still have tourists, so I went, especially since you speak English and Tatar - you will find a common language. The tour guide Marina was in a hurry somewhere and did not give us time to confer, she was interested in ordering excursions from her faster and at a higher price. This is a common occurrence, but even with the fact that we bought a day at the water park from her, she did not bother to call the hotel and tell us the collection time for the transfer back to the airport. No one at the reception had information about the departure, and this same Marina did not pick up the phone, as a result, they found out information on the airline's website...
Here I wrote and I feel like a grymza, although I tried to be objective. I will not recommend this hotel to anyone, although upon arrival we certainly miss the rest. There are moments that you want to stumble on, but they are associated with individual people and situations. In general, it was very, very boring, I even learned a little Turkish in order to somehow communicate with people besides my family, well, or simply learn something. We knew about the lack of normal animations in Bodrum, but we did not think that they were completely absent, so after dinner all that remains is to sit by the pool and listen to music.
In addition, since the guests are mostly Turks, they feel at home there and they have fun, it was interesting to observe their relations, to learn a little about their mentality, the people are cheerful, and even without drinking, they like to dance and eat, they are friendly and try to be helpful .
