I am writing while at the hotel. The situation is democratic, smoothly turning into gouging. The hotel is not 5 *, and does not even pretend to be - usually it is declared 4 * everywhere. Changed owners last year and is no longer the Noah Jewelyn Hotel, but that's what everyone still calls it. The food is very good, but I can't say the same about alcohol. The wine is bad even by local standards, I didn’t drink anything stronger. The sea is dirty, the entrance is good. There is no civilization in the form of shopping and entertainment centers in the district. Near the public beach of Camel Beach, there are many cafes and shops, but compared to other more cereal areas of Bodrum, there is darkness and desolation. Cleaning in the rooms is not very diligent, but if you go without any special claims, it will do. The day before yesterday, however, one habalist woman shook a dirty towel in front of the hotel manager and demanded the cleaning lady's blood. The manager nodded, but understood poorly. The hotel, by the way, mostly Turks, British, Russians and Ukrainians. The most fastidious Turks and Slavs. Yesterday, some Ukrainian chef drove waiters on vacation - apparently, for once he felt like a client. Tui's manager - Marina Samoilova, seems to be adequate. He lies in moderation, and if you understand all the shortcomings inherent in hotel guides, you can perfectly understand the features of the service on certain excursions. Yes, pirate agencies are all in Bodrum, which guides actively use. The main theme in their evidence base is the lack of Russian-speaking guides. Street agencies seem to agree with this, but everyone says that it is THEIR guides who are Russian-speaking. Prices for clothes are higher than in Antalya, so you can’t buy anything at all in the shops where the guides take you. And so in Bodrum there are a lot of places for shopping, the Turks, at least, the prices do not bother. In general, this is a city resort, all its charm is not in the sea, which is colder than in Antalya, but in the symbiosis of the sea, air, city entertainment and a special Bodrum flavor - a kind of Greek-Turkey.
