We went at the peak of the velvet season, when the prices for tours went through the roof - they were limited to certain time frames. Vouchers were taken last-minute, spontaneously - very, by the way, not cheap, but bought into the manager's assurances that this is a very pleasant place in all respects. Looking ahead, I’ll say that our hotel was the last one on the way to Mahmutlar, and we brought tourists to completely different hotels in terms of stardom. Sometimes I was overwhelmed with horror from 5 *, the number of garbage dumps per square meter. m and the ugliness of the surrounding landscape. Having entered Alanya, we calmed down a bit - a very beautiful city, a beautiful coastline, and the hotel itself seemed very nice: the sea is nearby - across the road. The keys were handed over immediately, but the room was disappointing: smoky, without a balcony, without a single carnation, on which one could hang the same swimsuit to dry. Thanks to the guide - she was very friendly and helped the next day to move to a room with a balcony. In fairness, it should be noted that there was no discomfort from the attendants - everyone was friendly, but with a sweet smile they didn’t clean the room very carefully, didn’t change the towels (the foot towel hung all 10 days), were not embarrassed by the cooked food. Food - generally a separate song of this hotel. On the first day, it seemed to us that we would crack from gluttony (maybe there was some kind of holiday). But. . . the holiday did not repeat itself, and all the delights of the local cuisine stood in the throat for a long time. Moreover, I can’t blame myself for pickiness in food, for example.
The sea, of course, smoothed out unpleasant impressions, but the beach near the hotel is frankly bad. Filthy. The entrance to the sea is traumatic, with very sharp stones. I had to go to the side, which means depriving myself of sunbeds and umbrellas. Yes, by and large, the sunbeds were very dirty - both on the beach and near the pool. Of course, they covered them with pads, but this formed a general picture of the local service. I do not take into account animation - for me this is an insignificant factor, but the youth clearly did not receive enough.
I read reviews before the trip - so enthusiastic, encouraging, that later, upon arrival home, I thought: maybe not right? Maybe she was too biased towards her own vacation (by the way, the first abroad)? But, after a while, I clearly understood: any impromptu must be carefully prepared. The place where you will leave the money earned and saved for the upcoming vacation has been carefully chosen. It’s better to choose a hotel with a proven reputation (because stardom guarantees little) than to regret the long winter months about wasted time.
