We rested in the "Grand Troika" in October 2013. A few days ago we returned to our homeland and already miss this, albeit modest, but very warm and friendly hotel.
I want to say right away to everyone who will read the reviews: DO NOT BELIEVE the guny, lamenting and groaning. They simply do not realize that they went to TURKISH THREE STARS, where there is not and cannot be any other level of service. There is such a thing - value for money. So in our tour it was, without exaggeration, EXCELLENT! . . : )
In general, 3-star hotels in Turkey in order, as one of the reviews correctly wrote, to "drop things and go" - to the beach, walk, go on excursions, "hang out"... "Treshki" in Turkey is not for to spend a lot of time on their territory.
So the hotel "Grand Troika" is ideal for young people and picky, economical and, most importantly, inquisitive tourists. There is no reason for others to come here.
Moreover, such hotels are not at all designed to drag young children into them. The animation here is "soft", and the choice of food is limited. It's obvious from the start! Why torture yourself, your children, and those around you, by the way, too?!
And now about the hotel itself. Let's start with location. Everything is just great here! To the center of Konakli village - 3 minutes, to the beach - 10. A hundred meters from the hotel there is a bus stop, where you can easily get to Alanya, Manavgat (Side) and Antalya. By the way, I personally really like Alanya, we went there several times and enjoyed it a lot. One famous Cleopatra beach is worth something! . . : )
By the way, next to the hotel there are several large supermarkets, as well as an inexpensive Internet salon. Which is also a plus.
Beach. The hotel's beach itself is small, but no one bothers to walk along the shore and swim where you want. We often did this! Moreover, lying in one place is "not our method"!
Number. Modest in size, but quite comfortable. Everything works, everything is fine. Cleaned up every day. A small tip of 1 lira (0.5 dollars) will also provide you with "delights" in the form of a composition of sheets and towels. . . : )
Food. Such as it should be in the "troika". To be honest, having been in a number of Turkish “fours” before, I expected the worst. But everything was quite normal. Unless for breakfast I personally didn’t get an omelette... : ) We are completely satisfied with lunch and dinner. Yes, the choice is not very large, but I didn’t notice something starving in our hotel... : )
Excursions. In street agencies, they are noticeably cheaper than tour operators. Reception quality of the so-called "tourist product" they have no lower. But you just need to competently "filter" the agencies. A couple of "leading" questions will help you quickly understand "who is hu". . . : )
SPA-center. Very good for a trio. Natalya from Belarus, who "rules" there, is unobtrusive, unlike many of her colleagues from other hotels. Everything is done competently and professionally. So I recommend trying it. Hamam there is just amazing! . . : )
Animation. It has never mattered to us! There are so many interesting things around! . . : ) However, people actively lit up at the evening discos, which were held by the pool. Once the guys from the staff gave out several national dances "on the mountain", which delighted the tourists.
By the way, about the staff. Definitely COUNT! All the guys are just great. From morning to night they work tirelessly, but they are always friendly, smiling, positive. Special thanks to the bartenders, as well as Ismail and Ramis, who "rules" the RECEPTION.
In general, there is a simple rule: if you respect the work of the staff, then you will be treated the same way, with respect. . .
Summarizing all of the above, I make an unequivocal conclusion - THE REST WAS SUCCESSFUL. And I'll add more. Have been to Turkey many times. But such a warm, sincere atmosphere was never met anywhere. Everything here was just AWESOME. And the company (to all friends from the "Grand Troika" a huge hello! ), And the weather (13 days of actually summer in October! ), And the hotel itself... : ) Well, the democratic price of the trip, of course, also "warmed the soul"! . . : )
