We rested in July 2013. Compared to the opening in 2007, something has changed, something for the better, something for the worse.
I'll start with the good. In general, a hotel with a good repair (2007) looks especially pretentious Lobby (hall). The hotel area is small but cozy. Very green! Around the flowers. Shrubs and trees are trimmed, one might say works of art. The environment is clean and constantly cleaned.
The pool is large, but sunbeds need to be borrowed in advance. Gorges are awesome! The sea is close at hand. There is a lot of food, but not everything is tasty. In the main restaurant (dining room) there are a lot of waiters, the service is C grade, everyone is waiting for a tip (I gave it a couple of times and realized that it was in vain). Russian about 30%, mostly Germans, Poles and Croats (real gypsies!!! ).

Cons in Muqarnas, if you find fault, you can dial a hell of a lot. If you buy a standard room, get ready for the view from the window to the construction site, and not far away, but 4-5 meters away, and on all 5 floors. We were lucky, the room was huge (3 adults + 1 child), the rest of the rooms were small.
I gave $ 20 at the reception, they didn’t take it, they fed us breakfast about moving to a better room, after 2 days we didn’t want to move ourselves (maybe we should have given $ 50 or kipish to arrange - I didn’t want to spoil the mood). The hotel is overcrowded, everyone is accommodated in the best rooms, but not Russians.
Food is a separate conversation. There is a lot of food, but so very tasty, I would not say. There is very little real meat as such. Basically, it’s chicken or minced meat, and almost everything is grilled, beef is a couple of times a day. Pork I ate 2 times in 7 days. There are a lot of fish, but mostly not very appetizing. Mussels were often given. Good cream soups. Fruit is enough. Watermelon, melon, apples, nectarine, sweet cherry, orange, hell grapes.
If you are not a fan of yogurt and muesli (which is a lot), then there is practically nothing for breakfast. I ate scrambled eggs for 5 days (there is a constant queue for an omelet), and 2 days - purely canned food. fruits + dried apricots, prunes, raisins. Cheese (brynza) and sausage are almost not edible.
Lots of sweets and cakes. But the tea is not tasty. Coffee is total shit! There are coffee machines, I don’t want to drink, only coffee tastes worse than Jackdaw, real slag!
There is no children's kitchen, because everything is inedible (friends of a 4-year-old child had a problem feeding).
In principle, during the day you could eat in different places, you were not hungry.
There is some animation. During the whole day you can participate somewhere. Evening performances in the amphitheater. The bullshit is that the whole entertainment takes place in all languages except Russian (10%).

A very big problem is alcohol (unless of course you like to drink, if not, there is no problem). And the problem is that alcohol is all cheap and diluted, Everything seems to be there, but it’s impossible to drink anything outright (whiskey is the color of pale pale tea, vodka stinks terribly, Baileys is 30% concentration, champagne is sour urine). And another joke - there are a lot of bars, but a full set of drinks is only in the Lobby Bar.
But even here it’s bullshit - in the afternoon they don’t make mojitos in principle, and in the evening there is an endless queue in the lobby. And even if you made your way through the Poles and Germans to the bar, the bartender notices you only after 10-15 minutes (he freaked out and left several times). There is clearly a dislike for the Russians, you have to shout and wave your hands in front of the bartender. Not a single imported drink (as it should be in ultra) is not even close!
And further. The pool is great and the sea and beach is a horror! Entering the sea is very inconvenient, and after 5 meters already with a head (it saves a huge pantone). Children alone on the shore to send dangerously strong waves knock down and large pebbles. And when I first got to the beach, I was shocked! Dirty gray sand mixed with pebbles - very reminiscent of construction waste! Is it really difficult to get yellow sand? ? ? -YOU ARE ULTRA! ! ! For this reason, we were at sea only a couple of times a day.
You can forget about all these little things and calmly enjoy your vacation, which we did.
I am writing a real, objective review (a week later), if you are interested, read about Grand Perl Beach in Side. So, I can say with responsibility - Mukarnas is no better. I am disappointed. And everyone who has already been here, everyone agrees, this is not the same Mukarnas as before (only the territory has become more beautiful). And no wonder, because the price has fallen.
I think that if the hotel were now undergoing accreditation, 5 * would be a stretch. AND THIS IS NOT ULTRA! ! ! I would give 4*+.
In general, the hotel is good and the rest was a success.
I wish you all a pleasant holiday!

P. S. Don't worry about the little things and just relax!
