MIXED FEELINGS. . . SO GOOD, BUT STILL. . .
I first came to Alanya last year and immediately fell in love with it. We also rested in the "troika", on the first line, the hotel is located near Cleopatra Alis. In Alanya we rested for the second time.
We arrived at the hotel around 11pm and were checked in immediately. The first impression is difficult to describe, because we were so tired after the train, flight, transfer, etc. , that we immediately had no strength to consider where we were brought) The room is located on the fourth floor, 401, corner. We were escorted, opened the door, the first impression of the room itself was good. Clean, looks like it was renovated not long ago. The room has one double bed and one single bed, a wardrobe, a bedside table, a chair, a mirror and a TV with one Russian channel TNT, two balconies, the view is simply amazing and mesmerizing!! )

On the one hand, a view of the sea and mountains, and from the other balcony only the sea! Next . . Bathroom . . At first glance, everything is fine, BUT . . until I saw a cockroach on the floor, and then in the sink . . To my squeals and indignation, the man who escorted us to the room, breaking into a smile , said "So what? He's small! What are you afraid of? " and washed one of them with water) I went into a stupor from his answer) Immediately, the reviews that I read on the sites popped up in my head, and I thought that we were "lucky" yet, that at least the room itself was decent, and hoped that more I won’t see this living creature, although who am I kidding . . )). I didn’t lay out things, I didn’t take risks)
In general, we put ourselves in order and went for a walk, looking for a cafe, because we were terribly hungry, and in the "hotel" dinner was over, of course, and it was too long before breakfast) A couple of hours later we returned to the room, and I was horrified again! Cockroaches just walked like a train on the floor, near the bedside table and closet, and in the bathroom (which is noteworthy, they were seen only in these places). And then a sleepless night began with deep disappointment and incessant tears.
I was not happy that we came here at all, and I wanted to go back home already. Until four in the morning I sat with a slipper in my hands, slapping everyone in turn who appeared in my field of vision. When I packed my things for the road, I took with me a sheet and two pillowcases, and towels, just as I felt, as it turned out, it was not in vain ! ! As a result, somehow fell asleep when it began to get light.
When I woke up in the morning, the first thing I saw was the view from the balcony. . . The sea, palm trees, blue sky and the sun! And all my sorrows disappeared in an instant! )) It seems that everything is not so terrible and figs with them with cockroaches))) As we later learned, the hotel has a second building. In the second, they said, absolutely horror! We were lucky)) We were in the "main")) In general, we went down to the "dining room". Now I had a chance to look around.

We, in principle, knew and understood where we were going, so we were ready for the bad. In general, there is nothing terrible and nightmarish. The dishes, of course, leave much to be desired, all torn, with cracks. Need to check for cleanliness. The only utensils are forks, tablespoons and knives. Teaspoons are a completely different story... I couldn’t find them, I thought they had been taken apart, but then I found them . . On the table, where there are mugs, glasses, a “coffee machine” and tea, there is a small mug of water, in which are pieces (maximum) ten teaspoons! And everyone who comes up to take coffee or tea for himself takes a spoon from this mug in order to stir the sugar, and puts it back in that mug of water !!!!
I was shocked by what I saw! What's more . . The staff is tired . . With their own hands, without gloves, they calmly take food from the table that people have not finished eating, for example bread, and put it back into the common basket or transfer it to another plate on your table to pick up a dirty plate! What was not eaten for lunch is offered for dinner, and from dinner for breakfast... The food is poor, but we were not hungry. There was practically no chicken/meat. Half of the food, we did not dare to take) They took only rice or pasta (if they were not half-cooked), or potatoes. But it should be noted that sometimes the food was even delicious))
I am glad that none of us got poisoned) To be honest, I tried not to think about the state of the kitchen . . I sincerely hoped and believed that there was no complete unsanitary conditions... As it practically happened in the "dining room"...
After the first breakfast, I immediately went to the reception and said that not only we live in our room, but also these “entities”! The girl, smiling sweetly and embarrassedly with wariness, probably expecting that I would now make a scandal (although I was not going to scandal, I just politely asked to take action), said that she would definitely pass the information on to the boss, but a little later, since he is not now.

We went up to the room. It was already cleaned, in the corridor we met the maid and tried to use sign language (since she did not understand either Russian or English) to explain our problem to her, in the end she understood us, nodded to us, they say, everything will be done)) We did not hope that someone will do something, so we decided to deal with this situation ourselves. We bought traps and spray in the supermarket, processed the whole room ourselves. But before that, I had to take out half of the furniture to one of the balconies: a bedside table, a chair and some blankets from the closet, since they were the main "houses" of insects. Especially a lot of them were in the closet. They turned the whole bed over, raised the mattress, splashed it there, just in case, and around the bed, just like in Vie, they drew a circle with chalk)))) .
All things had to be stored in a suitcase so as not to bring home “souvenirs”! Slept all the time with the lights on. The next day, however, we washed the whole room with some kind of detergent, everything just shone! They used their own towels, although one of their towels was used for the feet.
It was very “funny” when a dirty towel thrown on the floor was picked up and hung back on the hook)) And the next day, when I put it on the floor again, they took it away and didn’t give a new one))) Cleaned every day. A couple of times they even made patterns on the bed)
In general, there were practically no people in the room, so everything was not so scary. And when they poisoned cockroaches in general....)))))
And one more thing . . There was an unpleasant incident, but Thank God, decent people got caught. There were two women living above us and they accidentally mixed up the floor and entered our room by mistake. At that time we were in the room, my husband was in the bathroom, and I was on the balcony. Who came in, I didn’t see, I only heard the door slam, I thought it was the maid, assuming that she knocked without hearing an answer, opened the door, and when she saw me on the balcony, she closed it. But then it turned out that they were neighbors from above. And everything would be fine, but they opened our door with their key! It turns out that they have the same lock in all the rooms? . . This moment was not clear. Therefore, do not leave any valuables in the room. We carried documents and money only with us, we did not use the safe.

Summing up, we can draw the following conclusion: the hotel justifies the cost of the tour. Except for cockroaches. This is a HUGE MINUS! ! But as we understood, not everyone had them, we talked with many, in short, we were "lucky")) Although, one of our neighbors from above, who accidentally dropped in on us, said that three days before our arrival, at the hotel complete disinfection was carried out; apparently it didn’t quite work . . The food was normal, monotonous and not enough, but edible, we weren’t hungry)) Thank God, none of us got poisoned, and that’s good))))) The staff, in principle, is friendly, but tired, they are very little, and does not always follow the rules of hygiene. Cleaning every day. We knew exactly where we were going and what we could expect there.
The star rating of the hotel was not important for us. The main thing for us was the cleanliness of the room and good food. Roughly speaking, we needed a decent overnight stay) Practically it was, we miscalculated only with cockroaches and dirty dishes at times. And in general, everything was fine. We didn’t have time to look at all the cracks and stains on the walls of the hotel, since we came to rest. And one more thing, they don’t provide lunch boxes at all! ))) Wi-Fi leaves much to be desired. Works every three times.
To be honest, I can’t say whether I recommend this hotel or not, but in case you are planning to come here, I definitely recommend taking your bedding, towels and cockroach spray (just in case, so as not to waste your time and money to search for poison in supermarkets)!! ! Shampoos, shower gels, etc. take it with you)
