Big questions are raised by the star rating of the hotel and the check-in procedure, but first things first.

TRANSFER

No one meets you at the airport. Immediately at the exit from the arrivals area, there are operator desks, find yours and get on the bus. On the way, one stop is 15 minutes, the bus has air conditioning, the guide tells the rules of staying in the country and other useful information. The journey takes about two hours.

HOTEL

This hotel is not 5 *, but rather 4 * with a stretch! When buying a tour, we are clearly being deceived by tour operators! It is not new, but possibly reconstructed in 2018-2019! Previously, only Muslims lived in it, there is a non-working pool on the roof (the pools were separate for women and men), smudges on the ceilings and walls.

Visit the "fitness room" on the -2nd floor with mold and everything will become clear right away. The hotel building itself is quite large, and the courtyard of the hotel is very small, so there is no where to walk. Located on the first line, the beach is across the road. Elevators deserve special attention, there are three of them and one of them was constantly under repair, queues, stuffiness, if you need to go up to your floor, then get ready to ride to -2) first)). During the stay at the hotel, the lights turned off 3 times, once for almost an hour, therefore people got stuck in the same elevators, air conditioners turned off and many other “pleasant” bonuses. Smokers will appreciate this hotel, you can smoke almost everywhere: the restaurant terrace, by the pool, even in the side lobby there was an ashtray.

SETTLEMENT

Upon arrival, a surprise awaited us - the lack of a free and paid by us room!!!
Such a surprise was waiting not only for us, but for at least 7-10 more tourists, as we found out later, people who arrived a day before us also encountered this, they had overbooking there (there are more vacationers than rooms). Be prepared for the fact that representatives of the tour operator at the hotel (in our case, FIT HOLIDAYS, and there were others: TEZ TOUR, SUNMAR) will not help you in any way, calls and messages to the office of the tour operator (Biblio-Globus) also did not solve question. THEY ALL KNOW and can't do anything! As a result, having thoroughly patted the nerves of ourselves and the hotel staff, we were offered to check into a family 4-bed room along with other tourists like us, we were lucky and it was a nice couple from Moscow).

For those who do not understand: you arrive at the 5 * hotel, you paid the full cost of the tour, and you will be settled in a room with strangers like in a hostel! The next day, on the second attempt, we were still given a separate room. Why from the second?
But because, having received a card from the first room and opening the door, they heard the screams of vacationers who were there, that is, people were still living in it and they were not going to leave)) I had to return to the front desk again and wait another two hours before checking into another room . We have not heard any apologies from the representatives of Biblio-Globus, the morning meeting is needed solely for advertising and selling excursions. The hotel also does not offer any compensation if you yourself do not start to demand. We were given a week of free internet (it costs $12) and invited to a private beach dinner. Others seemed to be brought wine and fruits, in general, for any of their joints, knock out bonuses from them))

ROOM


Like the previous family room, our private room was modern, large and clean, it even had a safe. In general, the impression of the room is positive, except for the smell of sewerage in the bathroom)) The air conditioner worked well, the lighting was comfortable.
The side views are different: one is for the city, the sea and the mountains, and the other for the wasteland and the neighboring hotel, check it right away. Towels and bed linen were changed every day, but they vacuumed and washed the floors poorly, the glasses were also dirty. The room opens with a card, during a power outage, the lock works. Hot water gets cold in the evening))

NUTRITION

The restaurant does not have enough tables, especially for dinner, there were long queues. There were also dirty plates, it is not clear why the forks are laid out directly on the tables, and the tables are wiped with the same rag) We preferred to use disposable forks, which we took in the dessert area.

Food for an amateur, but they didn’t die of hunger) As it seemed to us, all dishes are a combination of the same products in different forms and presentation.

Soups: tomato and some white broths. Second courses: stew with poultry, beef or liver, rice, beans, all kinds of moussaka-type casseroles.
There was also fish: mackerel and some local species) A ​ ​ large selection of salads: a salad of tomatoes, and tomatoes with cucumbers, tomatoes with cucumbers and cabbage, cucumbers and cabbage, cabbage in sour cream, onions, chicken with cucumbers and peppers, peppers with eggplant, eggplant with peppers and onions, etc. )) A very large selection of sweets, delicious cakes, but there are few fruits, mainly apples, plums, oranges and watermelon.

All sorts of meatballs, grilled chicken and fish are fried near the pool, there is always pasta and some kind of porridge. The beach has fries, watermelons, burgers, beer and lemonades. I liked the cakes that the woman bakes on the beach. Everyone writes like that about ice cream, but it is quite ordinary, I would even say not very tasty)) they give it from 16 to 17.


Drinks: coffee is quite normal, local tea, lemonades on tap. Alcoholic drinks of local production, you can drink: whiskey, gin, crayfish, beer, cocktail from the machine. The wine is terrible! After 23 all bars are closed.

BEACH AND POOL
In the main pool, the depth is the same everywhere, there is not much bleach, it is open from 09 to 18. Children's pool with a fountain, the water in it is colder, I recommend checking it before running children there. The main pool has slides, they work 3-4 hours a day with a break for lunch, there is no queue. On the last day, the pool had muddy water in the morning.

You can reach the beach through the underground passage from the hotel. The beach is pebbly with sand, stone slabs immediately in the center, the entry is inconvenient, and to the left there is a sandy bottom, it is excellent there. People descended from the pier immediately into the depths. The sea water itself was muddy all week, not impressed) But there was almost no sea, either by the pool or on the Cleopatra beach in Alanya (how to get there, read on). There were almost always sun loungers, but I strained with umbrellas. Relatively clean, but cigarette butts everywhere. The garbage is left by the vacationers themselves, for some reason they are too lazy to go to the trash can.

Upon arrival at the hotel, cards are issued for towels, you can take them on the -2 floor where there is a hammam, for free. For the loss of a towel $10, for the loss of a card $5. When leaving the beach, you can wash your feet. Many complain about the lack of a shower, in fact it is there. The shower is located in front of the entrance to the underground passage to the beach, it is a large life-size puppet and there are three shower heads from the hands and nose.

ENTERTAINMENT

Gymnastics in the morning, water aerobics in the pool in the afternoon, darts on the lawn, volleyball on the beach, table tennis.


In the evening from 20:30 children's animation (every day the same thing) for adults mini performances from 21:45 to 23 or a disco. There was one foam party on the beach and a fire show, a mess of foam and sand. I was especially impressed by the display of outerwear from a local store, which lasted 1.5 hours, I think that this is arrogance and disrespect for vacationers! The hotel does not have normal entertainment anyway, so we were still forced to hear about cool fur coats and low prices, rubbish.
The musical accompaniment is the same type, if the animation plays Russian music, then I recommend that you follow the news, because not only representatives of the older generation but also young people rest in the hotel. This is probably done on purpose, because every evening they invite you to take a bus to a local nightclub, believe me, there is nothing good there either.

WHAT TO WATCH

Near the hotel is the city of Konakli, walk about 15 minutes to the center or take a minibus 5 minutes. for 3.5 lira or $1, the bus runs from early morning until 1 am. The stop is located in front of the hotel through a bridge or underpass on the right. In Konakli there are two or three shopping centers, McDonald's, a beautiful mosque, a clothing market, supermarkets, banks, bars. I recommend walking in the evening, the illumination in the center turns on as much as possible.

Alanya is a 20-minute drive, you can take bus number 50 for the same $ 1 or 5 lira.
Alanya is beautiful and interesting, the main attractions are Cleopatra Beach and the fortress. The beach is really unusual, there is a completely different sand and always clear water, very beautiful! Everyone who wants to get to Cleopatra Beach leaves immediately at the entrance to Alanya, and I recommend driving a little further and getting off near the bus station, not being too lazy and going down a little, you will enter the park, and through it to the very central part of the beach.

The fortress is located on a mountain and can be seen from all parts of the city. You can get there by cable car (cost one way 22 lira / 28 lira round trip) by taxi or on foot. We went there by cable car, and went down on foot, if you have children or health problems, then I do not recommend going down on foot. At the top there are beautiful views of both parts of the city and the beach.

I also recommend an independent trip to Antalya, take bus 2.

5 hours, you can stop right at the hotel or from the bus station in Alanya, the fare is 30 liras per person. Antalya is a very interesting and beautiful city with a large wide beach, old streets and a huge number of bars and restaurants. From the bus station, you can quickly take a high-speed tram to the very center, the fare is 3.5 lira (you can pay with a bank card right at the turnstile). In Antalya, I recommend staying overnight, because in the evening it is as beautiful and interesting as possible, you can rent a room or apartment from 1500 to 2000 rubles for two in the very center with air conditioning.

P. S. We will definitely return to Turkey, but never to this hotel!
