I was afraid to go - all sorts of revolutions... albeit in the spring, but who knows... But Sousse, and then Tunisia, surprised me with their serenity and good nature, peace and tranquility. Apart from the markets, of course!
Just got into the story! I forgot about work and family! Palm trees and the sea and white sand did their job!
About the hotel
The hotel is already well enough described below. The only thing is that you don’t need to go to the botanical one, everything is on the territory - hibiscus, and huge ficuses, and oleander and lemons, and tangerines, pomegranates and bananas... See everything
I will say once again a few kind words to the staff - polite, friendly! Animators - just great! All day long! As soon as they had enough strength for everything? ! In the morning, aerobics, aqua aerobics, water polo, warm-ups in the form of dances and games - and that's all before lunch!! ! This is how they increased our appetite!

Since the food was just wonderful, after breakfast you think that you won’t want to go to lunch. And jump into the sea or in the pool and - for lunch with pleasure. After lunch, we also fussed, but a little later we went for a walk in Port El Kantaoui or somewhere else. We returned for dinner, and after dinner there was an evening program, first for children, then for adults. Always a new show, always interesting, always with the participation of the audience. It was fun. The language barrier didn't even bother. We participated several times. Everything was clear - the animators tried to embrace the immense - people from different countries were invited to participate. What was not clear was shown by example and gestures. I especially liked the dance routine. I downloaded these songs, now I'm sitting here, remembering the fairy tale and feeling sad! I want to go there again.
About the restaurant
As I said about breakfast, you won't go hungry. Buns and sweets, cheese, something between cottage cheese and young cheese - tender and tasty, omelettes, muesli and more. But where?! ! On the veranda overlooking the sea, with a gentle breeze. . . So romantic! And what waiters! ! Hello to all of them! Attentive, and if you give a tip, then you are almost a relative in general - they will decorate the table with flowers!
About lunches and dinners
The menu is varied, a lot of meat - chicken, lamb, veal (namely veal, not old beef)))) and even pork, albeit a Muslim country. But tourists do not infringe. And there are no problems with alcohol - the wines are quite tolerable - pink, white and red. I liked pink better. The bar also has good beer. Local fig vodka Buha, as well as finnish liqueur Tibarin. For an amateur.
Vegetables and fruits. Is always. Delicious grapes, plums and peaches, and of course dates and pomegranates. So-so apples and pears, watermelon and melon. Olives, olives - always! Pampered with shrimp and squid in batter - delicious. There were a lot of other tasty things, I don't remember everything. In general, it was not possible to lose weight. Oh yes. . . lose weight. . . There is such a delicious ice cream!! ! all tastes. . . And cakes! And also like tapioca or mousse - I don’t even know what to call it, but it’s so pink... or yellow... like jelly...
About a taxi - bargain, you can easily get to the port for three dinars. They didn’t give it any more. There was a case for 2 and for one went. To Medina - 5 dinars. Well, if it's a lot of whining - 6-7. There is a small amusement park - with a "flying saucer" - a panoramic one, the whole of Sousse is at a glance, and everything glows in the evening - very beautiful. And like a roller coaster - short, but cool. Park next to the port, one might say - on the contrary.

About dates - I didn’t buy anywhere on excursions, the most normal thing is the General store, like the state one, also somewhere in the Port area. I can’t say for sure, we drove up in a taxi. There, the most reasonable prices for products - they took dates and butter there. You can also get alcohol there. Delicious tahini halva in tin cans - I regretted that I took little - even my pug ate it. Dates are delicious too. Take in 2 kg paper boxes. In bags and film may disappear. You will not regret. They even reprimanded me at home - I brought few dates! ))) We have them at a price that seems to be even cheaper, but not the same taste. I sit, eat dates and remember Tunisia! Feast on you, Tunisia!! ! From Siberia itself!
Take me back to the fairy tale!
About the sea - there were no jellyfish or anyone else, clean, azure... with white gentle sand...
Catamarans and boats - free for 30 minutes, no problem - come and sign up for a time. Tipping is not forbidden, but encouraged.
I read that, like, that you tip the maids, that you don’t give tips - the same. Maybe, but when I gave a dinar to the maid and pointed to an empty shampoo bottle, she brought me so much of it. . . )))) . . brought it as a souvenir. . . )))
By the way, you can walk along the coast to the Port - do not get lost. You can go to the hotels of the El Muradi network, they won’t kick you out. And they weren't expelled from others either. )))) I went around in a scarf thrown over my head - so Tunisians and from Libya (as Libya is called there), mostly Muslims, asked to take a picture with them. They probably thought that I was such a white Muslim)))) Well, they told us - you can’t take pictures of them !! ! ))))
Oh, how many letters she wrote - so she would speak about Tunisia.
And with the hotel we were definitely lucky! Pleasantly surprised when expecting that 3 *, but an order of magnitude higher.
I recommend! And I still want to go myself, there is so much more to see!
