I must say that we have been spending holidays 1 or 2 times a year in foreign resorts since 1998, and in Tunisia we are the third time (2001 - vacation in Monastir, 2009 - vacation in Sousse) and, in fact, past vacations in this country were set very positive, and the reviews of the hotel were excellent…. So in order. Tour operator ANEX tour, departure at 2:20 from Moscow with a delay of 40 minutes due to the replacement of the landing gear (tourists were sitting on the plane) - AZUR AIR. A strong smell of rotten socks throughout the flight and a meal consisting of a bun with a thin slice of chemical ham + a waffle could not spoil the mood. Arrival in Tunisia (Enfidha airport), an hour-long wait for luggage at the tape, then an hour-long train to the hotel with a meeting guide who did not consider it necessary to provide us with even minimal information also did not affect our mood.
We arrived at the hotel at 7 o'clock in the morning and at the reception the hotel manager, smiling sweetly, notified us that check-in was after 14:00. A bribe of 20 dollars resolved the issue positively and we were given rooms to choose from. There is only one restaurant in a rather large hotel, and as often happens, the main influx is observed at certain hours ...Tables are not served in a timely manner after the meal is over, paper napkins are given out piece by piece, there is no salt on the tables ....After waiting for the waiter for more than 10 minutes, at our request to set a table for 3 people, we received an instruction from him to take the forks and knives ourselves!

On the beach along the edge of the sea there is a lot of mud, which was removed no more than once a day, the sand was not cleaned and, moreover, was not leveled. In the sea near the surf there is a huge amount of mud and floating debris, about 60 meters you need to walk to clear water waist-deep in this horror, and there are also a lot of huge blue stinging jellyfish that our vacationers catch and bury in the sand. They didn’t want to go into the sea and swim in dirty water with jellyfish right away, so they saved the pool near which on the very first day they pulled off a beautiful branded pareo from my sunbed. I contacted the receptionist 4 times, respectively, they never found him. Communicating with the Russians (there are more than 90% of them in the hotel), everyone is unanimously outraged at the inconsistency with the declared 4+ stars of the hotel, the clearly cleaned up negative reviews and the “hospitality” of the Tunisians in general. We were warned about the theft of things in the hotel, as well as the theft of money from the safe in the room!
I had to constantly be vigilant with valuables, but they were not used to fastening and coding a suitcase with things. Now about the hotel guide: Hassan, the guide of Anex Tour, found time to meet with us only the next day at 14:30. Without giving us practically no information about the hotel and about the nuances of holidays in Tunisia in general, the information that guides usually provide when meeting, he moved on to the excursion program, which he spoke about very briefly. To the husband's question about the absence of circles in the water park, disgusting service at the hotel, they answered in a rather rude form: - Who are interested in excursions, come to me, the rest, goodbye ....Having swallowed a grudge (to rest for another 10 days), we ordered 2 excursions from him. 1. A trip to the Phrygia zoo, at the beginning and end of which, in addition to the one-way trip, 1 hour, we are on the bus for 1.
5 hours traveled around all the hotels collecting tourists and as a result 3 hours spent exclusively on the collection and delivery of tourists ...Everything is paid at the zoo, but it is interesting for adults and children. The 2.5 hours allotted for the tour flew by very quickly and it turned out to be a run around the zoo. 2. Excursion on ATVs; the minibus dropped us off 300 meters from the place and we had to cross a rather busy highway on our own. A piece of white disposable rag (dust bandage) was sold for 4 dinars ($2), poor quality photo - $2 (if you refused to buy it was torn before your eyes), transfer to the hotel after the tour - 3 adults, 2 children ( 14 and 9 years old) of average build + the driver himself in a small car sedan can be equated with extreme sports, because they sat almost on top of each other. I also want to focus on the Ultra All Inclusive system declared at the hotel, etc.

Lunch box is not provided and having come to the round-the-clock bar for an early breakfast (6:30 in the morning) from the declared menu, we were able to provide only 3 not fresh croissants for coffee, and then, after a second, more insistent request. 3 days before the end of the holiday, my son lost his beach flip-flops, they thought that they had left them in the water park, they came after 18:00, they didn’t find them, they had to buy new ones in the hotel store for $ 15, which were torn the next day. The flight back was at 20:45 local time. Renewal costs $30. At the reception at 10:00 I was told that it was not possible to extend our room, but they would help us ...For the same amount, we were given room 201, in which we had to transfer things on our own. Opening the door to the provided room were amazed!

The room is not cleaned, there is a mountain of dirty linen on the bed, glasses with half-drunk cola, dirty floor, no towels, and the room is not simple, but for the disabled! Unable to stand it, my husband called the reception desk and already in a demanding form said that we were not going to spend the remaining hours before departure in this garbage dump. The room was cleaned within an hour. Departure from the hotel was scheduled for 17:50, the bus arrived at 18:10 with the air conditioner not working. On the way, we were transferred to another (serviceable) bus, while everyone had to reload their luggage on their own. Departure on schedule in an airplane without a disgusting smell with a kind of hot dinner, landing in Moscow is soft.
Upon arrival, sorting out the suitcase, I missed my son’s new T-shirt, bought there for $ 15 ...We both remember the fact of packing it in a suitcase on the evening before departure, and since she could not get out of it on her own, this was the last straw that overflowed the cup of patience without conflict and a positive-minded tourist! On the fact of the vacation, I can say the following: - Throughout the entire vacation, thanks to the reception of the Tunisians, I got the impression that having paid $ 1.500 for a tour for 10 days, I am endlessly indebted to them! Perhaps we are considered idiots, for the sake of which it’s not worth straining, so you can behave like this with us, or do we allow them to do it ourselves! ? The hotel is not even 3 stars. We unanimously came to the conclusion that we will never return to Tunisia again and do not advise anyone! Anex tour is also not the tour operator with which we will spend our next vacation!
We do not consider ourselves ambitious and very pretentious, but we definitely do not intend to tolerate such disrespect and neglect of ourselves! After the vacation, there was a bitter aftertaste and I can say for sure that we have not seen a worse hotel and reception, although we have stayed in 3 * hotels several times.
