1. I have been to many hotels in Europe and Iberostar hotels in Spain and Crete. So there is something to compare. In this hotel I lived in room 360. I must say right away - I will not advise anyone!
2. The territory of the hotel is still more than half of the plowed virgin lands and waste dump. Construction will take a long time.
3. A hotel building with a claim to luxury, but the quality of construction leaves much to be desired: the windows and doors are poorly sealed, when the wind blows through the window so that the thick curtains simply sway in the wind from the cracks; full-wall windows, it seems to be good, but the windows are single (albeit thick) and therefore there is no sound insulation in sight. With a more or less strong wind, it is simply impossible to sleep because of the terrible noise from the howling wind.
Sleeping is also impossible due to hordes of mosquitoes in the room and no one does anything about it. I returned from this hotel the day before yesterday, and my legs and arms are still itchy from mosquito bites. In our room, there were no hooks in the bathrooms to hang bathrobes or towels, and there was no hanger on the balcony for drying swimsuits and beach towels.
4. The lobby is beautiful, but it is impossible to relax or work with a computer (since there is often simply no connection in the rooms) because of the many flies and mosquitoes.
5. Nutrition. You really won’t die of hunger, but almost all the food is somehow tasteless. Especially the one cooked on the grill. Fish or meat or liver is simply thrown on the stove and that's it, often it all burns. They don't know anything about any marinade.
6. Drinks. Wine in Tunisia is good, but this hotel serves wine of the lowest price. In a shop near the port in Monastir, a bottle of such wine costs 8 dinars, that is, about 200 rubles.
Mojito is only normal in one bar on the beach. In other bars, neither the wife nor the daughter began to drink it! Gin and tonic is often filled with sprite instead of tonic, which sucks.
7. Apparently, quite unscrupulous people work at the reception. On the day of arrival, we were not provided with the junior suite room I ordered. They persuaded me to spend one night in another room, and to move tomorrow where necessary. But the next day, they began to show completely different rooms that are positioned as junior suites on their website, and to my objections, the manager Aladdin said that on the Iberostar website this is just an advertisement, but they don’t have such rooms. Towels require a deposit of TND 20 each.
At the reception they are happy to exchange dollars or euros for dinars. But when you leave, they return the deposit in dinars and refuse to exchange it back for currency, since they are allegedly forbidden to do so!
I thought that there was nothing wrong with that and I would just use them at the airport in duty free. But it was not there! This country "respects" its currency so much that in duty-free they simply do not accept for payment, only foreign currency!!!
8. And finally the sea. I have never seen a dirtier sea and coastline in my life!! ! How Iberostar could choose such a place is simply incomprehensible. So if you are going to the sea (and not to the pool), then you are definitely not here.
9. There are no complaints, only, perhaps, to the main pool: it is stylish and clean and does not stink of bleach!
10. Conclusion. The Iberostar network disappointed me very much with this hotel, I used to consider it a reputable company and completely trusted it. At least this hotel is absolutely not recommended!
Rested with my husband in this hotel in August 2019 for 10 days. We came to Join Up and said that we had a honeymoon, advise the hotel. The budget was up to $2500. Not a lot, not a little, but it was possible to choose, especially since we had a honeymoon, we flew right after the wedding.
The hotel was chosen for us by the travel agent Join Apa, she said that it was super, class, brand new, she herself was and I advise you. The price of course embarrassed us $ 2500 for 10 days (understood that it was a mistake to say your trip budget, for this amount and shushed so to speak). The main emphasis was that the hotel is new, everything is clean, the rooms are fantastic, food is a bomb, juices, fresh juices, seafood and other benefits of cool hotels will be.
and so we went. . .
1. Sky Up flew, here without delay, planes, decent, not killed, they don’t feed, of course, but they give water and thanks for that.
Fly + - 3.5 hours I can’t say for sure.
2. The airport is old, dead, it immediately became clear that the country is poor. lucrative. . .
3. Hotel opposite the airport (I will write in advance, it did not interfere with life). The transfer was 5 minutes.
4. Only two of us got off the bus, me and my husband. This confused us a little.
5. We arrived at 6.30 in the morning, we say that we are after the wedding, we have honeymoon and everything, check in earlier....that yes... yes... I will give the answer NO. We are tired, we want to lie down soon, and then we understand what to give until 14.00. We were allowed to eat, ok, it took another hour, I don’t know what to do before 14....We sit in the lobby. They offered to leave things in an empty room, take swimsuits and go to the beach, and they did.
6. About a miracle, we are settled at 12.00.
7. And so we have a deluxe room with a sea view, we go in and see a piece of the sea from the side and everything else is a view of the wall !! ! We categorically do not settle, we ask for a room of the specified category and with a direct view of the sea.
8. Finally settled in the room. Yes, there is a view of the sea, but before that there is still a pool and all the noise and din is heard, the children are splashing until night. All this strained, I wanted rest and relaxation.
9. In the room, a large bed, a TV set, an ottoman, a table and a balcony. It has 2 chairs and a table, and there is where things are wet to dry.
10. In a hotel of this level and such a price tag, there are no bathrobes, slippers, no greetings and congratulations on the honeymoon. Nothing.
11. There is a repair, everything is new, but it was done so poorly, everything is flimsy. In 3 years everything will be in a catastrophic state there.
12. Nutrition. Yes, it's a little better than Egypt (I'll introduce a good hotel). There are fruits, fresh juices, how to say yes, but they are not tasty, since they took everything. The food is good, but not wow, without frills and the declared category. Good 4 but not 5.
13. Vacationers are all foreigners, there are almost no ours in the hotel. Yes it is a plus, but no because this hotel is very expensive and not worth the money. Lots of French, Arabs, etc. and children who are not particularly looked after, they run around the restaurant, you need to be careful not to pour out something on you, and do not hit anyone yourself.
14. Staff. Polite, communication in English, French understand everything. They also know Russian at the reception. Very friendly, trying to help everyone, to please, here without question.
15. Sea. Ordinary good. Swim for a long time so that it was up to the neck, shallow in general. There are no animals, masks and tubes do not need to be taken.
16. The towel dispenser is located very far from the central exit, from where everyone leaves and enters, it is not convenient.
17. There is a bar on the beach, they prepare cocktails, good enough, although it depends on which bartender. Sometimes they come to the beach and ask what to bring.
18. There are 2 beds on the beach itself, it is very cool to sunbathe there. But they should be occupied at 6 in the morning, because if the Arabs go there with all their children, then this is all from the morning until the end of the day they will sit there.
19. There are also such beds in the pool, but I don’t swim in the pool, I can’t say anything about it. Yes, but I'm indifferent.
20. Wi-Fi is terrible, in this hotel it's just disgusting. On the beach no in the room no. Only retsepshin and everything, and then in the evening when everyone is sitting, it does not catch well.
21. Excursions. Got one from Join Apa. In the city of C. D. busaid. Yes, beautiful, white-blue town and all. It takes 3 hours to go there, this is with a check-in for all tourists in all hotels. And back the same way. Although Join up assures 1.20 there and 1.20 back. We didn't take any food and were very sorry. The heat is wild, the bus is so-so, the guide does not speak Russian clearly. When you go there, you already want to go back soon. In the city itself, they tell you to buy souvenirs, you walk there for 2 hours and that's it. I do not advise. It’s not worth going to Instagram for the sake of 1 photo.
22. Animation. She is, the guys are all friendly and cheerful. From 10 am various activities. Darts, yoga, water aerobics, volleyball. In the evening, an interesting program with the invitation of artists. Everything is fine here, there are no questions.
23. There is no where to rinse your feet from the sand. There is a mini pool, or whatever you call it, and water is collected there, standing where everyone climbs to rinse their feet. There is a shower outside, but it flows from above, you can’t rinse your feet, you will immediately become all wet.
24. There are A la carte restaurants. Italian and Arabic. Were there and there. Works by appointment. Every time the menu is the same. Went once and that's it. Nothing out of the ordinary, tasty but not wow. Good service.
Conclusion.
The city is very dirty, the rubbish behind the territory of the hotel is literally everywhere. Heaps of uncollected garbage lie right on the road, the wind blows it all away, it's hot and you don't want to leave the hotel at all.
The hotel has no plants, living creatures, palm trees. All just planted and it is all very small. No where to take pictures.
Conclusion: if you go for $ 1000 a week, if it's more expensive, but definitely not, it's money thrown away.
For such an amount, you can go to Bali and wherever you want, alas, we stumbled upon a not very good travel agent who needed to sell this hotel. That's why none of ours was there, it's not worth its price, and there are a lot of questions about the service.
Another plus is that we moved out, and we were allowed to have lunch, we ate as much as we wanted, we even took fruit with us.
