Based on personal experience, Hamamet is a good beach of inexpensive hotels on the first line, a relaxing holiday. In Sousse - noisy, partying, the beaches are rather small and not so clean. This time we decided to try a seaside holiday in Mahdia. What can I say? The sea is clean and warm! The beach is sandy, cleaned. Entering the sea is a fairy tale in general, there is no great depth right away, you don’t have to worry with children - ten meters into the sea and only waist-deep.
Yes, the coolest sea and beaches are here, on the coast of Mahdia. The hotel is cozy, family-friendly with a pretty decent green area. Very clean. Everything is worthy, the reception, a large lounge. The staff is friendly and unobtrusive. There were no horrors. The food is varied, both international and national cuisines are presented, a lot of fruits, everything is fresh. therefore, I have no comments. The issue of waiter service in a restaurant requires a separate understanding, since in Tunisia it is the same everywhere - for a long time and not always accurately. Such is the specificity.

Bottled water, carbonated and still, drinks in "liquor" - you can take from the bartenders for free, but everything in bottles and coffee from the coffee maker - for money.
The rooms are spacious, cleaned for 4, and for a special "thank you" lay flowers on the beds from towels, etc.
The contingent of vacationers - family Germans, British, French. Predictable. There are very few tourists from Russia and Ukraine, "full tuna" was not found. Everyone behaved well.
Animation does not interest me, although the guys unobtrusively offer dancing, aerobics, and evening shows. There is no animation in Russian, but those who like to participate can find a use for themselves.
Cons: sometimes the staff does not see everything when cleaning the room, there are punctures; towels are issued by cards in the beach house, cards are issued at the reception on a deposit of 10dinars / 1pc + receipt. Without a receipt, only on a card, the deposit will not be returned to you. Mattresses are issued in a house near the beach (where there are towels) on a deposit on the spot ALSO for 10dinars / piece + receipt. Take a mattress, a receipt in your teeth and go to the beach with it yourself - look for a free sunbed. Therefore, everyone takes beach towels and those that they took with them. There are a lot of troubles - also to wear mattresses back and forth.
There may also not be enough sunbeds if you got up at 13 in the morning and went out to sunbathe, although there are places on the territory near the pool on the grass. The water drain in the sink in the room did not work well, contacted through a guide - it did not help.

Drinks in the restaurant: beer, cola, sprite... the bartender pours at the request, we stand in line. coffee, cappuccino, etc. - stand in line for one of the Nescafe machines, and here is the snag: either the clean cups run out, then the water and components are in the machine, or in general one of the machines will be covered. Have to wait a long time. There is tea in the reception room - bags + a cooler with hot water at any time, a coffee machine - in the same place. There are the same problems with cups and a machine gun. In general, take a towel, a camera, a good mood and go to the sea. Rest from the bustle. The sea is forever.
