The hotel was chosen because of the economy, the cheapest All in the area, and the location - six km from Hammamet to Nabeul. We arrived in the evening so we were seated right away. They did not ask for a hotel fee, but they took $ 10 for the opportunity to choose a room. Normally. Russian is not spoken at the reception, but the manager, Monsieur Lofty, speaks fluently. By the way, it makes a very good impression. Vacationers are mostly ours. Later, the Arabs began to catch up. Odd rooms overlook the garden, we had 4059. Even numbers overlook the pool, noisy.
The room seems to have just been renovated, for the poor, really. Like a painted bathtub. We were pleasantly surprised by the perfect cleanliness, new linen and mattresses. They even provided shampoo and soap. TV with two Russian and one Ukrainian channel. Balcony meter by meter, too small. The view from it is beautiful on the roofs, mountains in the distance, an electric train runs under the windows. But she didn’t bother us, she doesn’t drive at night. The roosters sing. . . I even liked it, they woke up very early anyway, in order to get to the beach or on an excursion before the heat. Five cleaning. And for the left dinar, such compositions of sheets and flowers were made, just a feast for the eyes. The elevator worked well. The hotel area is not very large, but well-groomed. Beautiful, clean, flowers, palm trees, a fountain (imitation) in the patio. The swimming pool, with a bridge, was thoroughly cleaned daily. The water is always clear.
We were very pleased with the room, despite its modest size, it was clean, quiet, the plumbing was in good order, the water was always hot with good pressure. The air conditioner didn't get cold at all. It is central, and they only turned it on in the cold from two in the afternoon until the evening. It was stuffy for a couple of days. Safe at the reception, three dinars a day. Occasionally, individual mosquitoes flew in. Get the right funds.

Unfortunately, the second pool did not work with us. When more people came in, it became too crowded in the water. There are a lot of sun loungers around the pool, but often it was not possible to find a free one. The hotel has 300 rooms! And it's still the beginning of the season.
For the first time we were pleasantly surprised by the work of the animators. We have never been interested in this aspect, our own cultural program, usually we only spend the night in a hotel. The heat forced some travel to be postponed and there was time to observe their efforts. This is a team of 15-20 people, almost teenagers, incredibly positive, friendly, mischievous. All day they spent something, aerobics, oriental dances, karaoke, concerts, they all bothered without importunity, they joked like: "Beware, there are sharks in the sea today. " And they were so childishly sincere, without obsequiousness, not for money, that it became clear why some people leaving said goodbye to them hugging and with tears. This is the first time this has been observed.
Now about the sad. Nutrition. A beautiful large hall, clean dishes, a large number of nimble and polite waiters do not help when there is practically nothing to eat, there are huge lines for meat or tiny fish. And it seems like a large number of dishes, salads, side dishes, but everything is frankly tasteless, insipid, damp, obviously left over from lunch to dinner. Even numerous pies have an unpleasant aftertaste. I just liked the chocolate biscuits. From fruits, delicious watermelons and wooden peaches. For dinner, desserts were served in the yard, something was fried on the grill (queue! ), Ice cream. Beautiful. For breakfast there were always omelettes, pizza (tasteless). They were hungry for three days, then they got used to it and began to eat everything that they could chew, taking it out of the queue. Yes, at the entrance you will be met by a charming smiling girl animator and wish you bon appetit. Nice. Of course, for the little money that the tour cost, we did not expect lobsters. But it would be better to reduce the range in favor of quality, albeit modest. And, of course, our people, and they were the vast majority, should be given in portions. I will not go deep, but it is very embarrassing for our people.
The biggest minus, unacceptable damage, because of which we will never want to come back here again, just does not depend on the hotel management. 30-40 meters to the left of the hotel's beach, a stream of excrement constantly flows from the neighboring five-star Menar Hotel. It flows, smells of fresh poop, sometimes stronger, sometimes less, flows out onto the beach and is absorbed into the sand, a little before reaching the sea.

Compared to this, a dirty beach, to which you have to cross a busy road, a lack of sunbeds, broken and old ones, a scooter prancing at breakneck speed between those who ventured to swim, smelling of gasoline - this is such a trifle... At the same time, a very gentle coast, the sea is beautiful as everywhere in Tunisia, the country we have come to love.
The general impression is that considerable efforts are being made to renew the housing stock, to correct, feed, cheer. Everything is perfectly organized, the staff is well-trained (a merit of Monsieur Lofty). Wonderful staff, cleanliness uncharacteristic for an Arab country, attentive, polite, friendly attitude. But. . .
The choice is yours. And if you need advice: add 200-300 dollars, if you can afford, buy a four-star tour.
