Before the trip, we read a lot of reviews about this hotel... mostly positive, but there were also opinions of those who, according to our guide, "are always dissatisfied with everything") The hotel is wonderful. Fully corresponds to the declared four stars. Some frightened people with Ramadan, saying that on this holiday the Arabs are evil and inhospitable. Nothing like this. Perhaps the cafes and shops are a little less open (in terms of time), but the service at the hotel is excellent! The room was cleaned every day, towels and bed linen were changed. Yes, sometimes I had to be persistent and once again remind about something, but at the request they corrected all the shortcomings, and did it with a smile. Well, we, in turn, did not forget about the tip. Like many left 1 dinar.
As for the beach. Maybe it depends on what time to arrive... but we came to the beach around 8 o'clock and always got sunbeds and umbrellas were free. Those who slept until 10-11 were left without amenities) The staff tried to solve problems if they were treated without rudeness and without "arrogance".
The only drawback is that due to Ramadan at 6 the rental of sun loungers ended. But given that the sun was already setting at 7, an hour without a plastic mask under the booty did not particularly upset.

I was pleasantly surprised that the sunbeds on the beach and by the pool were free)
At the expense of the road to the beach... well, if not 150 m, but 200, but it took all 3-4 minutes no more. Such walks are even good for health, so as not to swim in fat)))
The beach was constantly guarded by the police.
A lot of entertainment. I recommend trying a parachute. Cheaper than in Russia and definitely cheaper than in Turkey (compared).
As for food. Quite a varied menu. And soups, and salads, and hot. And what kind of desserts are there....A paradise for the sweet tooth) In order not to run from place to place, it is better to decide on a table in advance... foreigners do just that... they sit at their own and don’t occupy someone else’s... only Russians from place to place the place is jumping))) It is better to come to the very opening or an hour before the end... then calmly choose what you need and sit down at a comfortable place. If you want VIP service, charm the waiter) If there is no boss, they will spin around you like a princess)) Of course, such "honors" are only for the female population of the hotel) Sometimes such attention is pretty annoying. So be careful))
With regards to excursions) Were only in Carthage. The ruins are not ah, especially for those who have already seen in other countries. But it's still interesting. The city of Sidi Bou Said fascinates (as part of the same tour). I will not talk in detail about the cultural and entertainment program, you will have a guide for this. He advertises everything very well. Sometimes it’s cheaper to buy some excursions in the city or rent a bus in a group and drive yourself.
What about entertainment in the hotel. The animations are quite good. During the day, various sports games and competitions, both at sea and by the pool. Neither men nor their ladies will be bored. In the evening, a program for children, dancing (salsa with animators) and a mini concert. Funny and fun. Especially when our slightly tipsy tourists act as alternative animators)))

Without knowledge of the English language, you will have a hard time. In Russian we understand 5 people from all over the hotel. And the standard simple phrases. But it is not all that bad. There is a guide who will always help solve your problems (at least ours was like that).
Pay attention to the exchange of money! at the hotel (rarely, but it happens) they may not count a dozen 2 dinars. But once again, this rarely happens. If they gave you a number and you don't like it, go and ask for another one! You have to be persistent and not be afraid to screw them up) they are obliged to meet you - this is their job. Change money during the week. There may be no exchange on weekends. The course is the same everywhere.
On account of medicines. Not a single poisoning pill was useful, but it took a septolet and paracytamol. Due to the air conditioner and a sharp change in temperature, there is a high probability of getting sick with ORS. It passes quickly (in 3-4 days), but without medication it is difficult. Grab something for pressure. During the flight, there may be discomfort, even for those who do not complain about their health. Be prepared for this.
It is better to buy souvenirs in stores with fixed prices. Everything is the same, only several times cheaper. You need to bargain in the market, otherwise they will fool you)) Not all Arabs like to bargain, but you need to try, despite the fact that they look dissatisfied with the torus. On the first day, it's better not to buy anything... in a couple of days you get used to the whole variety of goods and then you buy what you really need.
Be sure to try the peanut tea!
And of course it all depends on the tour operator. and guides and the road.
P. S. Be careful when flying. There may not be a check-in desk for your flight on the scoreboard. Most likely you will be able to check in your luggage at any counter. Leave money to pack your suitcases, if you miss, do it at the hotel. That will be cheaper.
I wish you a good rest)))))
