They did not provide bedding, there were no towels or soap. They told the administrator, they brought a bed without pillowcases. Soap and shampoo were not given. On the second day, when the bed was changed, towels were not put (and every day). They went to the administrator every time. They bought shampoo and soap at the store. The cleaner simply did not put them (soap and shampoo) and the administrator did not respond.
The food in the restaurant is excellent, the service is good.

Number 2 x room in each room 2 beds
The door is lockable from the inside.
Sea: from the pontoon, if you jump off where the yellow float is, there are no stones nearby. Or at the end of the pontoon there is deep.
There is a wild beach on the right where almost everyone swims, there are almost no stones.
Somewhere around 9 in the morning there is a low tide and a sand spit appears.
We didn’t go to the kids club, but we saw a table for ping pong and table football.

It is a pity that the employees at the hotel do not know the Russian language, but I am glad that they are mastering it intensively. In the hotel you can play volleyball, football, there is a gym, two swimming pools, open water slides, there is animation during the day and in the evening. Wi-Fi is available throughout the hotel, but it does not actually work. It is normal to use Wi-Fi early in the morning when everyone is still sleeping.
I also liked room 1143, the check-in was quick, the furniture was new, everything worked (plumbing, air conditioning, TV), the room was cleaned normally. The request for repair (the leg of the chair broke) was completed within an hour, which was a pleasant surprise.
The food at the hotel is varied: meat (beef, lamb, turkey, chicken), fish and seafood, dairy products, various pastries, fruits, various drinks, ice cream. You can come to the end of breakfast, lunch or dinner, the assortment does not change. Next year they promised to translate the names of the dishes into Russian.
The weather during the holidays changed, there were calm and sunny days, but there were windy days with rain and storms. It did not interfere with rest, the sun was enough to get a good tan. The beach was cleaned from debris and algae, you can always find a place under a sun lounger, the polite staff did not interfere with swimming with their whistle. The sea is warm, you can enter the sea from the pontoon and from the shore, there are many sharp stones near the shore, there are people with leg injuries in the hotel.
There are three shops across the road, but we took a taxi to the market and bought everything there, more choice, lower prices. We spent an hour and a half, 4 dinars one way in a taxi, stop Medun, Carrefour.
I advise you to take a walk to the lighthouse, there is a beautiful and comfortable lagoon for swimming, you can buy fried crabs.

At the time of our departure, the hotel was closed. The hotel itself was very nice. Despite the full load of the hotel, the staff coped perfectly. We arrived at the hotel at 7.30 in the morning, we were immediately settled and sent for breakfast. The rooms are comfortable and very clean. The women do the cleaning very well. The food at the hotel is very varied. Meat - beef, lamb, turkey, chicken. There is always fish too - mackerel, tuna and some other fish of medium and small size. I especially liked the canned sardines, which are available for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Fruits - peaches, 2 types of plums, light and dark grapes, melon. The range of dishes is always replenished, you can come to the end of lunch or dinner. There is always liquid soap in the room, there are no shampoos and hair balms. Nobody demanded additional money from us, neither for a room, nor for something else. The slides are not yet open, work is still being done there. The contingent of the hotel: Russians - 60-70%, the rest - Belarusians, Germans, Poles, Arabs, Italians. The atmosphere in the hotel is friendly. Animation is weak and obscure. During the day, aqua aerobics, stretch aerobics, and sometimes step aerobics are held. In the evening - all sorts of games with "flat" jokes and questions. They put women's wigs on men, paint their lips with lipstick, etc. Animators do not speak Russian well. Tunisian folklore was not shown, but it would be interesting to see. The weak point of the hotel is the beach. If you do not take a sunbed early in the morning, then you will not find it. For two days the sea stormed, tore the panton into three parts and washed ashore. Collect panton could not 3 days. On the beach, wrinkled old German women sunbathe topless, an unpleasant sight. ENTRY INTO THE SEA IS DANGEROUS TO HEALTH! For ten days the sea was calm only one day. The water is cloudy, so you can't see what's under the water. And under water sharp high stones. I was seriously injured when leaving the sea. The wave knocked me down and hit my foot on an underwater rock. A huge hematoma on the lower leg “swelled up” instantly, the leg was very swollen and very painful. I had to go to the health insurance doctor. The doctor arrived an hour and a half later. Fortunately, the fracture did not happen. The worst injury. Prescribed ointment and tablets. Paid the doctor a deductible of $30. Then I paid for the medicines and their delivery from the pharmacy. I'll give receipts for medicines to the insurance company, maybe they'll pay. When talking with other vacationers, it turned out that many were injured to a greater or lesser extent. Now, at home, I continue to treat my leg. Everything below the middle of the lower leg is a solid bruise. I won't risk going to this hotel again. The hotel itself is good. Anyone who likes to swim in the pool can safely go here. But for those people who travel overseas, it is better to look for another hotel.

It took us a long time to decide where to go on our honeymoon. They offered standard options Egypt, Turkey, but we wanted something different. We needed a quiet, romantic vacation without noise, din, discos, exactly the place where we are meant for ourselves. Of course, we wanted to go to the Maldives, but the finances were not suitable for this. In one of the agencies, they did not suggest about Djerba, they said the same with white sand and quiet rest, for this reason they decided to go there. We chose the Melia Palm Azur 4 * hotel, we wanted it to be all-inclusive without any problems with towels and food, we didn’t want to think about it. We read all the forums on this hotel, and there were a lot of opinions about Djerba and the hotel, both positive and negative. As they say, how many people have so many opinions. This was probably the reason for writing this text. When we read the forums and visited various travel agencies and companies, another Magic Life hotel “surfaced” the same four, it is considered the best among the fours in Djerba, then our hotel went. But the price for this hotel is the same as for the five, it was more profitable to go to the five. We began to monitor all price fluctuations on Melia Palm Azur, which depended on the price per dollar and on the agency. If you go, then go from a tour operator, in St. Petersburg the only tour operator on Djerba is "Express tours", everyone else just buys tickets from them, there is also the Neva, mostly tours to the mainland in Tunisia. Express tours are monopolists and behave accordingly (if you don't like it, don't take it). We decided to fly to Djerba from 16.09. 09 for 10 days. The price, of course, varied greatly from 56 thousand rubles. at the end of June and up to 84 thousand rubles. at the beginning of August. We thought, let's go, take vouchers for two days as hot, it's good that they changed their minds and took it earlier. We took vouchers on September 9, and then it only turned out that on that day all and all vouchers were bought out, only triples remained, and then the worst ones. When we bought vouchers, Express tours showed themselves to be monopolists, we didn’t like some of the clauses in the contract that related to the replacement of the room and the hotel, to our request to change it slightly, we received an answer that we don’t like it, don’t take it (IN CHINA THEM WOULD BE SEE THEM, HOW THEY FIGHT FOR CLIENTS), but decided to take it from them anyway.
We had a flight at 16.40 on September 16, tickets were received at the airport, issued, though their representative of the Neva. I’ll immediately say one important remark in the contract that it is written that 9 nights, and not 10 days, as it is written on the company’s website, why I wrote this, because we arrived in Djerba at one in the morning, therefore, one day was already lost.
The plane is standard for Tunisian airlines, an old one that flaps its own wings during the flight, leather seats like in old Mercedes.
On the plane I met a couple who told me that they had bought their ticket on 09/10/09 and there weren’t even a single four, there were three and then very few and not for running hotels.
On the plane, the Tunisian crew spoke French, English and German, they did not know Russian. During the flight, I felt ashamed of the Russians, three ladies were sitting behind us, who were bruising, two of whom were just sitting forty years old, yelling, and one of whom was about 24 years old and got drunk and felt sick, staggered to the toilet to do her business and at the same time smoked, for which the steward took her passport from her, I don’t know if she was fined or not, but the captain in the cockpit scolded her for a long time. They say no one saw her sober for 10 days, it's good that this chicken was not in our hotel.
We landed, the meeting party was Express tours, went through control and at the exit from the airport we were met by guides who directed us to the buses. Roman, a normal kid, advised us on the bus, but you should not trust and rely on him.
They brought us to the hotel at about two in the morning, from the bus we were alone in this hotel. At the reception, he asked Roman to say that we had a honeymoon trip, so that they would give a better room, of course, they didn’t open the bar for two people, but they brought fruits and mineral water to the room. The room was certainly nice with a beautiful view of the sea and the main pool. We fell asleep to the beautiful song of drunken German youth swimming in the pool.
We didn’t sleep much at six in the morning, we couldn’t sleep anymore, in St. Petersburg at that time it was already nine. We walked around the hotel, I asked at the reception how many Russians were in the hotel, it turned out to be ten, although for the entire period I counted seven people, the rest were Germans and French of advanced age. I immediately ordered a safe in the room, it cost 2 dinars per day. At five or six in the morning, foreign pensioners were already going to take sunbeds near the pool and on the beach.
The hotel made us happy and the beach too, but the entrance to the sea was bad, I generally thought that if there were stones, they were hewn with water, but here they are very sharp and inconspicuous, it’s impossible to walk along, but we already knew from the read forums that it is worth walking five minutes to the right and there are wonderful white beaches with an excellent entrance to the sea. The beach itself was also cool, but we also wanted the sea. Every morning at nine o'clock, a tractor came and cleaned the beach, because. during the night it filled up, as we called hedgehogs, small incomprehensible balls.
The breakfast was wonderful, and for the entire period of our stay, the food was varied, tasty for 10 points. After breakfast we went to the lighthouse, it's like I said about five minutes to the right to go, the eyes rejoiced at what they saw, really a snow-white spit of white sand, where the depth is somewhere knee-deep, after 60 meters a gradual depth already begins. Vintage boats of fishermen give this view the greatest beauty, remoteness from the bustle and some kind of intimacy....
As I said, we got a good room, they cleaned it every day without any problems. In some reviews, we read that someone had been robbed, I decided to check, I put the dinar on the table, but after cleaning, when we arrived, we saw the cleanliness in the room, put things in order on the table and moved the dinar. If you want to be spun from towels or bows, leave one dinar on the bed, but this is the same if the cleaning lady knows how, otherwise it is not necessary.
If you talk about nutrition, then this is a fairy tale !! ! I will not list what is there and how it is, but in the morning I always wanted something easier to eat, but it did not work out. After various sausages and sausages (somewhat similar to German ones, only spicy), various porridge, we ate huge donuts (donuts), not the same as ours in size, but one on the whole plate and sprinkled it abundantly with chocolate or some jam. Lunch is no less varied. You could have lunch at the main restaurant, a barbecue bar and a bar near the Pirate beach, where they cooked fish (or something else) right in front of you on an open fire, with various salads, cuts and seafood. The coolest was the dinner, which was dedicated each time to a new topic. I won't list them all, just the ones that stand out the most. One evening we arrived, and the entrance was blocked by a huge canvas to the ceiling depicting the sea and fish. This evening was dominated by seafood (shrimp, mussels, fish, octopus), I really liked the lasagna with mussels. Why I said they prevailed, because there were always standard dishes: pasta, potatoes, various meats, only with different sauces and in different conditions. They always offered to put wine (red, rose, white) and naturally locally produced mineral water on the table. Also an evening of Tunisian cuisine, very spicy and not familiar. My wife and I went up to one dish, in which there was a thick, very black mass, as if coal was crushed with water, and the smell of non-French perfume. One of the cooks, seeing our facial expressions, began to explain to us that it was very tasty, told us how to eat it, and I decided to try it, my wife refused. It turned out to be beef in large chunks, it tasted very tasty and tender, just stunned, the only smell was to be desired. I remember very much the evening of Italian cuisine, with pizza, lasagna, pasta with various sauces. On the last evening, I said that there was still not enough shawarma, I looked up and here it is shawarma :  )) , it became really funny.
But, I did not say the most important thing, the coolest thing is the tables with sweets, they were filled with pastries, cakes, fruits, ice cream and I remember palm trees made of chocolate and caramel.
It was also possible to order a restaurant for two, only there it was necessary to sign up for three days. We went once, we really didn’t like it, the only thing is that the atmosphere is cool.
Where you can go there is: to the Sahara (when we were, it cost 200 dinars per person, the reviews are also different on it, we weren’t, but the Russians we met spoke cool; boat trip, on an old pirate sailboat; overview a city tour, but there is nothing to do on it, Djerba is a small island, it is easier to get to the city of Midoun by taxi, it costs 3 dinars of the price on the counter. There you can buy souvenirs, mainly camel leather products and ceramics. It is better to buy in state stores, there prices are fixed, you can’t bargain, the only price in stores can vary with a difference of 2-5 dinars. If you bargain, there are tents where you are told that the minimum fixed prices, but in practice it is 6-7 times more expensive. For example, I bought a painting from sand, at first the seller called the price 150 dinars, I bargained with him up to 21 dinars, having learned that we were from Russia, he called us the Russian mafia. to go. Here, another example, I bought in the state. a small tam-tam (drum) store for 2.5 dinars, went to a nearby shop to a private trader, he started rubbing the same fairy tale to me, a fixed price and said that it costs 30 dinars (So consider the difference, but the tam-tam are the same), I showed him the price tag on mine, he began to lament something in Arabic, I did not understand.
Russians are rare here, mostly confused with Poles and Czechs.
In the evenings, I felt like I was in a French nursing home. French music of the 60s and 70s and smoothly dancing German-French pensioners created the illusion.
One day there was a strong wind and a storm, there were ten people on the beach, after breakfast my wife and I went to the beach, I went to the sea and stood, enjoying the strong warm salty wind rushing into my face, probably only Russians enjoy it , I wanted to scream obscenely with pleasure, as in one of Zadornov's monologues. And then I heard a voice behind me with the question “Slav”, I turn and look, a healthy man is standing, I say yes, you should have seen his joy. The guy is cool, he turned out to be from Murmansk, though he doesn’t know any languages at all, he doesn’t even understand what they are talking about, I myself don’t talk much, but at least I understand. The remaining three days, we talked together. Then we went home, and he went to the Sahara. I forgot his name, maybe I'll see you again.
We flew to St. Petersburg normally, only when it came time to receive things it turned out that only one bag out of two flew in from our things, the second flew to France. For some passengers, not one did not arrive. All due to the fact that they were loaded on the wrong plane, and the airport was told that this is normal for Tunisian airlines, they are purely mistaken or not everyone is thrown. Four days later, the bag was returned to us intact.
Would like to go there too. Everyone has a good rest.

They don’t take money when checking in, as is customary in other countries, Egypt, Turkey, I can say that the previously written review wrote a person who even has nothing to compare........... Very good animation in the evening, in general, I liked everything and there is something to compare with, so whoever is looking for a retro you will like it there. I recommend this hotel to everyone with children.

I rested with my boyfriend for 2 weeks at the Melia Palm Azur hotel in August 2008. The choice fell on this hotel, as we were familiar with the Spanish chain Sol Melia, which owns it. Usually hotels of this network are of good quality in all respects. However, once in Melia Palm Azur, it became completely incomprehensible to us how this hotel could be part of a fairly decent hotel chain. … More ▾ I rested with my boyfriend for 2 weeks at the Melia Palm Azur hotel in August 2008. The hotel itself - reception:
The hotel is not new, but it looks quite okay. The reception is large, a lot of marble, a large seating area.
Territory:
Large enough, but poorly maintained (I don’t know if this is due to the difficulties of maintaining plants in a hot climate).
Number:
The room is spacious, not new, but in good condition. Cleaning is daily, but not particularly thorough. There is no bottled water in the rooms, but there are water coolers in the corridors. That is, either we save the bottles brought from home, or we run back and forth with plastic cups.
Tourists:
85% French, 10% Italians and 5% Russians - Czechs - Slovaks - Poles.
Nutrition:
Disgusting. The food is monotonous and the cheapest (tomatoes, grated carrots, beets), all in the simplest possible way. No more complicated salads. Meat 2 grades for dinner, bony, inferior quality, like dogs. 2 varieties of pasta and other poorly cooked food. And so every day. For breakfast one sort of cheese and one ham (cheap sausage ground together with bones), 1 grade home-made yogurt in tubs, 1-2 grades of bread. Eternal shortage of bowls-glasses. Glasses are often soapy. Plates are often frankly dirty. Several times I swore with the head of the hall - to no avail.
During your stay, you have the opportunity to visit dinner with local a la carte food once. the restaurant in which this dinner should be held during our vacation was for some reason closed, so all the exotic was held at the plastic tables by the pool. The classic couscous was the most disgusting and poorest I have ever eaten.
Swimming pool:
Nice big main pool and small pool for kids. In the large pool there were problems with the flow of water (the hatch was partially open) and the parents complained to the lifeguards, for which they were advised to "swim around" (! ). As a result, a 14-year-old girl was sucked into this hole with us, the rescuers did not find the drain switch and they did not have oxygen tanks, but they did have fire extinguishers. the girl was taken out after 20 minutes, of course she was dead. I can honestly say that after this it’s hard to think about rest, and I don’t want to go to the pool either. There are a lot of reviews about this case in the French press - since the girl is French.
Beach:
Sandy, plenty of seating. Umbrellas are all rusty on the inside - I hope everyone has a tetanus shot! The entrance to the sea is monstrous. Huge sharp stones for 30 meters and knee-deep water, if you pass, you can enjoy the sand)))) If you have children, then you can simply cross out the sea. For 2 weeks my legs were skinned in all sorts of places - in general, beauty!
Water sports:
Despite the fact that their website indicates the availability of equipment for all kinds of non-motorized sports, in fact, all of it is not usable. The wind surf is broken and the sails have holes. I had to rent from a nearby hotel for 20 Euros per hour. There are 3 kayaks. However, if there is a problem, the Melia Palm Azur does not even have a rescue motor tray. And when a hole was found in one kayak and tourists had to be pulled out, the rescuers from our hotel had to take a boat from a neighboring one. beauty in general
Medun:
A terrible dirty city, where there is not a single pleasant restaurant and generally interesting place.
Output. IN NO EVENT DO NOT REST IN THIS HOTEL, it is not only disgusting, but also life-threatening.
