We rested at the Telemak Hotel at the end of July 2008. We liked the place, the room was nice, large and cozy on the second floor of the bungalow, located in front of the main building of the hotel. On the first floors, ants often ran, but they did not really interfere. The room was cleaned and towels changed every day. The staff is friendly, understands French and some English (there were no problems with the service).
The beach is large, there are a lot of sunbeds, compared to other hotels - clean. Every day animation in French, quite fun. Guys - animators are trying their best. A great place to travel with children, there is a playground and a special animator who entertains them, in the evening there is a special disco for children from 1 to 40 years old. After her disco for adults. On site there is another disco which is open from 12 noon. Beautiful well-groomed green territory, there are tennis courts, a basketball hoop, mini golf, football, table tennis and football. The food is decent, though the food is a bit specific, bland or very spicy. Lots of vegetables, but only a couple of fruits (melon, watermelon, plums, apples, peaches).
There is not much entertainment for young people on the island, except for discos, bars and clubs. There is nothing to see on the island itself. I advise you to go on a tour of the Sahara, it lasts two days with an overnight stay in an oasis. They ride camels and jeeps on complete off-road, the sensations and emotions, to put it mildly, are amazing. It is expensive - $ 165 per person, but it's worth it.

Moving around the island by taxi costs a penny. From the hotel to the largest cities (Medun, Hom-suk) of Djerba, drive 7-15 minutes. In the city of Mendong you can buy souvenirs, it is better to go to shops with fixed prices, you will be deceived in the shops anyway, the price difference is 15 times. Autumn cheap leather goods, decent quality. The local population, taxi drivers, sellers are friendly. There are few Russians, but they are loved.
