The room was a deluxe room with a balcony and a view of the pool, although I booked a standard one. Cleaning every day, towels changed every day. Reception staff speak English. Responsive. I asked to remove the fruit skins that the tourists threw on my roof and near which the midges swarmed, they immediately removed everything.
There are small nuances for the picky: in the bathroom, the curtain turned gray, it would be nice to clean the shower from lime, the bath itself was torn by something near the drain, but this does not look depressing and will not spoil the mood of a person who is in the mood for positive. The room is spacious, there is a microwave, refrigerator, kettle, hair dryer, LCD TV with one of the channels in Russian, Wi-Fi.
Near the hotel there is a little shop where you can buy everything from a needle to a mask with a snorkel for swimming at normal prices.
In the sink, the faucet works in the opposite direction. Shampoo is a small bottle with a pink liquid that smells like mice. There is only one chair in the room, there are no dishes or a kettle or glasses, no one decided to ask for a kettle, we went to the bar for boiling water, they poured two glasses of boiling water for us and asked for 20 baht, our girl said there was no money with her, the Thai woman poured boiling water into the sink and gave it empty glasses!
In the bar, everything is twice as expensive as in the nearest store. Garbage and cobwebs are everywhere, beer bottles, gobies are removed only by rain and wind. Grandma, 72 years old, settled on the 4th floor, of course there is no elevator in the hotel. They put two sealed cups of water in the room, but there are no straws ! ! how to drink? They took a deposit of 2000 baht, the boy Dima, the guide from the tour company, promised that there would be no problems with the return, but on the day of departure he did not even appear, did not answer calls, unsubscribed by SMS. And many, many more negative things. At the reception, a Thai man waved a knife. This is how they meet at Tuana Phulin Resort Karon Phuket.
The hotel is very good, I would give it 4 *, food is normal, room cleaning too, I lived in building 2 (there are 3 in total in the hotel), there are 2 rooms in the room, there is a hairdryer, a kitchen, there is a microwave, a tea corner, a toaster. There is even a scale in the room, which is very convenient - at the end of the holiday, I weighed the suitcase when I was getting ready so that there was no overweight. The only minus of the hotel is to stomp 10-15 minutes to the beach along the road with shops, or through the Movenpick hotel, which is just across the road, 5-10 minutes. Along this main street there are a lot of restaurants and massage parlors and exchangers.
The beach is good, long, clean, the entrance to the sea is convenient, gentle. Beach chairs 100 baht per person. A lot has been written about strong low tides, but the actual low tides were much less than even when I was vacationing in Pattaya, so this was not a problem for me.
I went to Bond Island, I really liked it, I wanted to see it for a long time, I had to go not on a speedboat, but on an ordinary one, we sailed past beautiful islands, then we went canoeing through the caves.
I also went to the Similans, I didn’t really like it, more talk about them - such as the beauty is extraordinary, but it costs a lot of 2700 baht. But if someone rested in Pattaya and went to the islands from the pier, then they were as beautiful as the Similans, and therefore you should not go to the Similans, because. very far and not cheap. In general, I liked the rest, the hotel was almost the cheapest of the hotels on Karon Beach, so I think that the hotel has good value for money, and most importantly, that it is not on the dirty Patong Beach, but on a good and clean Karon, and remoteness from the beach not a problem.
