Remoteness from the sea has its positive aspects: there is no noise from discos and restaurants, a very green area - you practically live in the jungle, there are few other hotels around, respectively, fuss. 30 minutes to Patong Beach. with a calm step, countless cafes, shops and mini-markets brighten up the road. At 20 min. walk is the largest shopping center in Patong, Jungleceylon, where you can buy anything and spend time in restaurants with European food when you get bored with exotic-peculiar Thai cuisine (TonYam soup, of course, is a delicious thing, but you won’t eat every day). There are a lot of bike rental offices around (180-250 baht / day). Excursions were taken on the street - 2 times cheaper than from a hotel guide, and we all ride in the same bus and sail on the same speed boat, with the same Russian guide (usually these are downshifters illegally working in Thailand, but sometimes they tell interesting). The hotel rooms are large, old, but everything works and is regularly cleaned. Refrigerator, air conditioning (worked quietly), a full bath, a kettle brought in 3 minutes. after request - not bad for 3 stars. Shampoo gels were added, towels were changed. They don't speak Russian, and you won't even understand English. Despite all the talk about Thai politeness and smiling, I first met with rudeness at the reception (very peculiar girls work) - when trying to clarify the schedule of the hotel shuttle bass, the Thai woman began to yell at me like a wounded macaque. I had to send her and communicate directly with the driver. By the way, the bass goes to JungleCeylon 4 times a day and it is very convenient to return from the beach on it, without dragging in the heat and without climbing the hated mountain on which the hotel is located. The mountain is a separate issue: normally, without respite and shortness of breath, if you are not a sports friend, you won’t be able to move around the hotel (I sweated 120 kg, groaned, but my wife forced me and after 5-6 days I adapted to the loads). In terms of nutrition: standard breakfasts - it seems that there is nothing to put on a plate, except for eggs, but you don’t leave hungry (by the way, sausages are more edible than in Egypt and Greece), we had lunch and dinner in cafes - large portions, everything is delicious, fresh seafood and fruits - what still needed. The price tag is on average 300-500 baht. for two with beer. Beaches: Patong Beach itself is convenient due to the presence of palm trees and shade from them (all sun loungers and umbrellas disappeared from the beaches of Thailand after the spring government decree - everyone sunbathes on towels and mats), but the water is unclear. More like located in 8 km. Karon beach (fine, snow-white sand, singing underfoot) and Kata beach (less crowded and cozy) - you can get there by bike or very expensive by tuk-tuk or taxi (same price) -350-450 baht. one way. In Patong, the price tag for a taxi is from 200 baht. In general, at prices, holidays on the island are more expensive than on the mainland (for comparison, a pineapple in Phuket is 15-20 baht versus 3 pineapples for twenty on the mainland) But the impressions received from the holiday far exceed the financial losses of the family budget. The beauty of Similan, elephant riding, rafting in the jungle, waterfalls and beautiful Buddhist temples, swimming in the gentle, warm (+33 degrees! ) Sea with sea turtles - this is only part of what impressed me, but this is a topic for a separate story. . Bottom line: the hotel is suitable for a budget holiday and unpretentious tourists. You need to go to Tai at least once to touch the exotic of Southeast Asia.

But, on the other hand, felt the difference!
The hotel is normal, we were ready for the fact that we would do sports every day in the form of climbing up and down the mountain, no swearing about cleaning, breakfasts are acceptable. I just didn’t understand why fresh vegetables came across to us almost the only time, perhaps at the wrong time they ended up in the canteen. Claim only to the air conditioner: terribly thundered. And this is where the grumbling begins! Because it rattled so much, we preferred to sleep with the window open, as a result, we wanted to ask our dear compatriots, who were in the majority: does it ever occur to anyone that people want to sleep at night? And if your warm team wants to sit, shag and drink, then you can do it near the doors of your room, and not near the pool, where you can climb without noise and screams? These cases stand with the letter "p", as a result, the sound beats like from a well.
I was impressed by a middle-aged lady who tried to explain her claims to the number to the Thai boy in Russian - Zadornov is relevant!
When we arrived in May, these were also Pegasus flights, but there were few people, they behaved quite pleasantly, and in February a crowd came running that did not go to Egypt. And most importantly, dragging some incredibly nasty children. One far from beautiful night, I flew out onto the terrace from a terrible screeching, as if someone was being cut. It turns out that the child was screaming: Mom, there is a pool! Another plane flew in, and a pack of tourists was settled at half past five in the morning. That child, it seems, did not know how to speak in a human voice at all, they shushed him, but he still strove to squeal all the remarks. Parents, be careful, your children can infuriate vacationers!
About Pegasus. They could have apologized that, by their grace, we spent more than twelve hours at the airport, flew away not at the promised seven in the morning, but only at six in the evening - the broken plane was stuck in Bangkok. The girls-guides on paid excursions like "Discovery" and a trip to the Similans are pleasant, sociable - respect, everything was organized clearly. Normal people would never mess with the monsters of the travel industry for so-called free sightseeing tours. I finished off the final chord in the face of a Turk, or an Azerbaijani, who was chattering incessantly, who accompanied us to the airport at the finish line, carried some impenetrable vulgarity mixed with lies.
I'll rent "fish spots": without messing with any excursions, just order a taxi to the Botanical Garden, often marked on free maps, look near the Zoo, southeast of the island. Absolutely delightful place, not trampled by tourists. This is not Nong Nooch, it is much more comfortable, we went around it in three hours, and sat and rested, talked with parrots. In their butterfly department, the specimens are more beautiful than in the specialized center where we went on excursions.
Bottom line: in general, it’s better to go when the season is already over, dear compatriots have an alternative in the form of Turkey or Egypt (be it wrong! ) with their “all inclusive”, and only those who know and love it go to Thailand. The hotel is without pretensions, we are impressed by the presence of greenery in the form of almost jungle and the panorama of the city, which opens from the upper terraces. And the staff was quite friendly, which is surprising, considering the behavior of the guests.

Impressions are twofold. The hotel is far away. The view from the hotel is either a construction site or a pool. Food is disgusting. The room is normal - only for the money. A pregnant woman is sitting at the reception - you can’t even yell at her if anything, because her voice doesn’t rise, but she uses it, makes a stupid face and almost faints, bitch, it infuriates. … More ▾ Impressions are twofold.

A pregnant woman is sitting at the reception - you can’t even yell at her if anything, because her voice doesn’t rise, but she uses it, makes a stupid face and almost faints, bitch, it infuriates.
Sorry, it probably won’t be short, but I beg YOU to read the information at least about the hotel to the end.
So the hotel. First we were settled in a room, which is 300 meters uphill, only from the reception to be (161).
I WANT TO NOTE IMMEDIATELY THAT THE HOTEL ITSELF IS 30 MINUTES WALKING FROM THE BEACH. And try to tell me that they say, oh, with a quick step, in the morning, only 20 minutes, la la la... show me at least one person who will fucking get up at 7 in the morning to have breakfast with vile, tasteless food at the hotel, and run to dirty Patong - so that later in the review I write that 20 minutes !! ! Brad!!!
In short further. Then we spent one night there, in this terrible room, and paid $ 100 (300 baht per night) to be accommodated in the main building, where the rooms are called deluxe or deluxe. Crap of course. Who told them that this word luxury or semi-lux can be a priori applied to their hotel??
Ok, for this money, we were allowed to choose rooms, first on the 4th floor (407), the beds were apart, and there were lamps between them, in short, it turned out to be nonsense if the beds were connected, and after spending the night there, we moved of our own free will to a room on the 2nd floor (201). This room overlooked the pool. It was noisy and people, children, cleaners were constantly scurrying back and forth.
In general, in a hotel, if you take rooms, it’s better to have odd numbers and let them overlook the pool, and most importantly, higher, 4th or 5th floor. It turns out and the view is beautiful and nature. And so, a view of the construction site... noise . . And don't tell me that from the even numbers you can see the sea - you can't see it. Three days on reindeer to this sea.
In short, we lived in room 201 until the end of the holiday.
Patong is dirty - I personally don't think it's worth swimming there. You can do it yourself or meet people at the hotel, take a tuk-tuk and go to Karon (300 baht), Kata (400 baht) KataNoi (500 baht) This is one way. Exactly the same in reverse. You negotiate with the drivers, write down his mobile number, and they pick you up from the beach at as much as you say. You give money back and forth when you are brought to the hotel.
By the way, if you really want to go to Patong - it's 200 baht, both there and back. There is no point in trading. They have a tuk-tuk mafia and they don’t care if YOU don’t eat, then others will.
They clean the room - medium, they wipe the dust where they see it, and they just make your bed neatly, sometimes they can change the linen... in general, Thais are of course lazy... This is a fact...
In the hotel from the Guide DO NOT TAKE ANY TRIPS, and downstairs from Tatiana and Alexei, don’t take either, there is still CHEAPER (and with the same guarantee) when you walk along their main street, Bangla Road, and even just when you go to the side Patong, there are a lot of shops with these tours, trips - you pay in the same way, they will pick you up from the hotel at the appointed time, and bring you back in the same way. AND THIS IS SUCH CRAZY the guide will carry you, that if you are not from them, eat, then there is no guarantee that you will be brought back. It's just that they, like other intermediaries, need to put their paw on your trip. Do you rent apartments without intermediaries? negotiate with the owner and talk directly. Well, that's about what I wanted to say.
Food - in the hotel - damn it, how to put it better, I changed my phone, I had pictures there, right now I can’t put them up... In short, the food sucks, coffee and tea differ only in that they helped a black cat in one kettle, but in another, with coffee, it splashes like that... Fried eggs, rice porridge, cereal, and something rice with scrambled eggs... From fruits - watermelon and pineapple, from vegetables - NOTHING !! ! A couple of juices like Jupi - colored water.
Moreover, if you order lunch or dinner in the same place where breakfast is served - the food is cooked there deliciously - this is true, but EXPENSIVE.
Listen, I'm not saying that 3 * should be like 5 * in Turkey, but understand, when I rested last time, in another 3 *, in the same place in Phuket, this is earth and sky. This time, my husband and I took tickets right before the new year, a couple of days in advance, as is often the case with everyone, so there were only free rooms in this hotel (unfortunately)...
And this is not the third line, this is the FOURTH line - you can even look at the map...
I don’t know what else to add... I indicated my mail there, if you have questions, write...

We are doing this for the third time, without hassle we issue a ticket, we calmly know that we will get there without the station rush. And we recommend it to everyone. We chose the hotel to stay right there, on the spot. It is very convenient that the Royal Crown is located almost in the center of Patong. We walked in ten minutes. It's a long way to get from the airport, almost forty kilometers, we took a taxi. The hotel itself is located on a hill, excellent views, you can see the city and the sea. We also walked to the beach, about 15 minutes. The territory is well-groomed, full of exotic greenery, there is a huge swimming pool. The water is clean. We even swam late in the evening. Near the bar. Our room was large, almost 20 square meters. meters. TV, air conditioning, shower, toilet, balcony. A complete set for comfort. In the restaurant, prices "bite", so all products and alcohol were bought in a nearby store. Yes, and on the street they sell all kinds of yummy. You will lick your fingers!! ! In general, we had a great and not expensive rest. Sanmar did not disappoint this time either!

Always clean, every day thorough cleaning. The furniture is in order, the appliances also worked properly! We liked the food of this hotel) We only took breakfast here, but regretted it, sometimes we even had lunch and dinner here !! ! There is always a large selection of dishes, even for breakfast, a large number of fruits, vegetables, delicious juices, salads, meat dishes, everything is great, so why go to different cafes in search of food if such a wonderful restaurant is at hand. at the same time, the prices here are the same as in the city! In Thailand, you definitely won’t be bored, of course, don’t expect hotel animation, here you need to go on excursions to different amazing beaches of the islands, and not sit in your room. The service at the hotel is excellent, so Don't worry, they'll serve you right!! ! In general, the rest was excellent!

Read about it, tensed. Before that, in Phuket, we stopped in Kamala, one can say that before our eyes, after the tsunami, it grew to a rather large village. And here is the dubious Patong, very different reviews about the hotel. Phuket just wanted to death.
Everything turned out to be very good. The hotel is really located in a very quiet place, but close to the party. Yes, walking up and down invigorates, if there are problems with the musculoskeletal system, then it’s a disaster, but if you ate extra pounds during the winter, then that’s it! You can choose to stomp on the steps or walk smoothly along the circular path along the chic tropical vegetation. The furnishings in the rooms are simple, but there was enough space in the closet for the things of three people, suitcases also fit. Believe me, sometimes in more luxurious hotels, the lack of storage space is simply infuriating.
They settled us on the mountain itself, but next to the pool. The sign says that it is open from 10 am (! ) to 6 pm (!!! ). And what Siberian can put up with such stupidity! ? Of course, waking up at five-thirty-five, we flopped into the pool, trying not to make a lot of noise. The pool is small, but long, there is where to wave your arms and legs. So in the evening, crawling from a walk or excursion, how was it not to refresh yourself in the pool? It regulates only that at about 8.15 nice Thai guys came and poured chlorine into the pool with a bucket. But that meant it was time to stomp on breakfast.
Breakfast was not included, tried to chew on the first morning (200 baht per person), rather dreary food. But, having gone down a little more from the mountain, you find yourself on a street where the Thais cook "for their own", that is, for ridiculous money (three of us managed to have breakfast for three hundred with a tip) "native" food, tasty, fresh! Once they missed a little, proudly declaring "spicy! ", It was very spicy! After this incident, just before breakfast, they ran into the store 7-11 for a small bottle of milk. But this is breakfast. If you go down from the hotel, then turn right, walk to the crossroads and turn towards the sea (with a very leisurely step to the sea for about fifteen minutes) - there are cute eateries with delicious tom yam and other gourmet pleasures at almost every step. Here, the aunts fry all sorts of things, the kebabs of one were simply magical. Food is clear.
To our amazement, we met this for the first time in Thailand, there was no kettle in the room, but we are experienced travelers, we had everything with us. So, if you like to indulge in tea and coffee after school hours, you need to keep in mind. Although, I saw that citizens took coffee pots with hot water somewhere.
The atmosphere in the hotel seemed very friendly to us, it may have happened that during this period only very calm Russo-tourists came over, but no one interfered with anyone, did not frolic loudly in the pool, did not drink.
The rooms were cleaned normally, no complaints. But when we needed to leave for three days on Pi-Pi and we simply had no idea how to get to it on our own, the girl at the reception solved the problem in a matter of minutes. In the morning we were picked up by a bus, at the pier we were put on a boat and on the island we were met by a long tail from our "bungalow" hotel. To do this, they simply showed a printed page with our order for a bungalow on the Internet, with the name and dates. Bungalow on the island - a separate and beautiful song.
During our absence, nothing happened to the room and things in it, but the people in the vicinity of the pool ("six hundred" rooms) diminished so much that we felt something like loneliness. Imagine: you are hanging out in a pool overlooking the jungle, silence, only butterfly birds flutter. Meta, practically.
We never used the minibus that takes vacationers to Jan Ceylon (a hefty shopping center), I can’t say anything, we just walked for about ten minutes. Near the shopping center there is a huge market with fruits, meat, fish, and near a very fashionable restaurant with average prices and a sign "We will cook everything that you buy at the market", next time we will definitely use it.
(A lyrical digression) The weather at the end of May was something like this: the sun was showing, and clouds were running in with rain, which poured in ten minutes in a downpour or drizzled for long hours. This did not prevent you from hanging out around the town, on the beach, by the way, in cloudy weather, these grabbers on the beach do not dare to take money from you for a sunbed. But there are problems with the sea, it is clean, but the waves are funny, you get into the water, and you are thrown ashore with kicks and cracks, you can’t swim. But it is very beautiful.
It is better to go on boat trips on large ships, on small ones a very warm wave overwhelms the only way, it is pleasant, but scary. And on Pi-Pi it's just great, apparently, due to the fact that it is in the shadow of Phuket, there are no waves, you can swim to your heart's content.

7. The curtain in the bathroom is neither fungus nor mold.
Initially, we thought that we would take 3 * only with breakfast, we would eat outside the hotel. They themselves are not picky. But when they saw it - there was a shock!!!
In general, my advice to you - if there is an alternative - choose not Royal Crown 3 *.
