I don’t know who assigns the hotel’s star rating - by the standards of Egypt, this is a four with + or an average five)) An excellent hotel, beautiful territory, Karon beach, near which the hotel is located - quiet and calm, in the sense of few people, but there are more waves than on the neighboring one Kata beach and the sand, however, is unusual both in color and texture and creaks, really like snow, they said - there is a lot of quartz in the sand. Near the hotel (you go out to the right) there is a good massage parlor, we were familiar with it for several years travels to Tai, specializing in massage, including, and so he advised us this salon. 300 baht an hour of massage with oil - in Russian rubles 220. Ridiculous prices! I liked the massage very much. The masseuses from the salon remembered our honest company, in the evening they passed by an open cafe where we were sitting, laughed with us, talked... The hotel has an excellent pool in front and 2 more behind the hotel, between the buildings, but these 2 did not work, because it was not the season, there were 15 people for the whole hotel)) The rainy season is a terrible thing that we were scared of in the travel agencies of our city, went unnoticed for us... It rained 2 times and somehow didn’t make an impression)) I didn’t notice the ebb either. But the clouds were very pleasant - they softened the weather.
We went for a walk to the nearby beach - Kata - crowded, what is being done there in the season? We went to Patong - it's kind of like the center of nightlife. The most beautiful thing I saw there was on the tour "James Bond Islands + canoe", although our guide Ilves did not do the tour very nicely - in our price lists it is written that this tour is with a Russian-speaking guide and costs for two - 2800 * 2 = 5600 baht ($ 164), only there was no Russian-speaking guide and we listened to English all day, which we are not very good at, in Thai performance (like tumalyou is tomorrow). In local offices for this excursion it was possible to bargain up to 3000 baht for two !! ! not sickly, almost 2 times overpayment! We thought about writing a complaint or something like that, but I don’t know yet... Somehow it was not very pleasant to spend the whole day almost in a misunderstanding : -( But the nature there is amazing! Be sure to go on such an excursion! Such places are beautiful, unusual, just a miracle!
We stayed at the Grand Tower in Bangkok. I liked the hotel in Phuket more, but in general it is not so important. Be sure to go to "Paragon" - this is a type of bargaining. center, there are aquariums with sharks and other local marine reptiles on the ground floor - Siam Ocean World is called and costs 850 baht per person, unforgettable impressions. I still regret that I didn’t buy enough))) Sneakers 299 baht (~ 220 re), T-shirt 199 baht (~ 145 rubles) and so on, up to pharmacies. We wanted to go on an excursion to the old city to swim through the canals - but, alas, it didn’t work out... Who went, tell us, otherwise it’s not known now when we can get there. : ( Former royal palace, temple of the reclining Buddha, jewelry factory (you can begging for a discount! and so quite inexpensive) I liked everything in general, but after Phuket it was no longer so impressive.

There was a delay in the plane, but due to some kind of breakdown, there were no strikers and riots, we were also afraid of this. I was very pleased that 2.5 hours after the delay we were sent to a very good hotel (in light of the fact that in our airports in August-September people were not fed for several days... )
In general - I liked it sooooo much! Do not be afraid of 3 star hotels, although you need to read the reviews). On the tour, we talked with friends from Serene resort 3 *, we also considered this hotel - they liked it, a good hotel. I think you can go to 2 stars there, it will be normal 2 stars, not an Egyptian hostel.
Very, of course, far away and the flight is expensive, especially in light of the summer rise in fuel prices and other crisis phenomena, but you have to go! If I used to want to visit many places, but it’s not very good to go to the same place, now I think - I need to go back to Phuket, well, or to another place - the main thing in Thailand!
