So our little vacation is over. It seems like yesterday there was a beautiful sea nearby, green palm trees and hot sun, and today it’s grayness of Moscow.
I want to write about something that I myself was very interested in before the trip.
We flew from Pegasus. The airline there was North Wind. I read a lot of unpleasant reviews before the trip and therefore was a little nervous. But everything turned out very well. We took off on time, I liked the plane. True, with my height of 152, I don’t really care about the distance between the seats. But my husband was not cramped enough. The service was good, everyone was given blankets. In general, in the morning we landed safely in Phuket. We found our transfer and there was a surprise from Pegasus. It turned out that they would simply take us to the hotel and the guide would meet with us only tomorrow morning. We don’t speak English very well and would really like to be helped with settling, but alas. True, where our Russian soul did not disappear. At the reception, they explained in separate words and gestures. They settled us in 30 minutes. While waiting for the check-in, they treated us to a cold drink. The first impression of the hotel is good enough for a triple. Our room was standard. Small, but everything you need is there. As it turned out, we were lucky with the location. There was a lot of greenery in front of the balcony. You can see the restaurant through it. At first I was upset that it would be noisy in the mornings, but as it turned out later, this was not the case. And in the evenings, pleasant calm music was very helpful. Other standard rooms overlook the road in front of the hotel entrance and the passage corridor, which I think is not very convenient, because. the door, which is also the window and the curtains, must be closed so that they do not look into the room. Every day they gave 2 bottles of water for free. In the bathroom, shampoo and shower gel, soap and caps are free. Take your brush and toothpaste with you. The room was cleaned well. We left 20 baht for the maid, so she put us 4 bottles of water every day and changed the bed 2 times in a week. A small minus is that the air conditioner is noisy, but on the second night I somehow didn’t notice it. I really liked the breakfasts. Everything is delicious and you can choose for every taste. Only coffee, of course, no, but you can drink with cream. Fruits were given every day: bananas, papaya, watermelon, melon, and, of course, very sweet and tasty pineapples. Beach towels are provided at the exit of the hotel. You can turn it in for lunch and then get it clean and dry again. The safe at the reception is free, and in the room for a fee. We used the free one without any problems. The pool is small and somehow I didn’t want to swim in it when there was a beautiful sea nearby. The hotel is inhabited by Europeans, Americans, Japanese, Indians, Arabs, and of course Russians (but somehow not many). Beach near Kalim. Small but swimmable. Even the fish swim near the shore. True, there are boats of local residents, but they somehow did not interfere. If you walk a little, you can settle down in Patong. So there is a choice. There is a 24 hour minimarket next to the hotel. Everything you need can be bought at any time. Massage parlors, a pharmacy, an exchanger - everything is nearby. In the evening, macarons with all sorts of yummy come to the Kalima embankment. If you do not suffer from excessive disgust, then you can buy food from them. I really liked everything there, delicious.

Well, now back meeting with the guide. A lovely girl, Rimma, came and told me about what we had sorted out on our own yesterday. She offered to go on a sightseeing tour. She said that there would be viewing platforms (precisely in the plural), a temple complex, and a few shops. Although I read that you should not go to it, I fell for the cultural program. The next day we were loaded into a big bus and taken… On the way, we learned that we had one observation deck, a latex factory, a Thai cosmetics shop, a temple complex, a pearl farm and a jewelry factory in the program. It's called popados. The guide girl tried to tell something, but she was not good at building sentences. I think that half of the bus is better than her, everyone knows that, because. people with us are now getting to know history and sights on the Internet before a trip. We arrived at the observation deck. The guide promised that if the monkeys did not sleep, then it would be possible to feed them. There was nothing to see from this site. People reached for drinks and ice cream. Prices were of course for tourists. We never saw any monkeys. I strongly doubt that they live there, because. no monkey misses the opportunity to beg a busload of tourists for food. The next item on our program was a latex factory. We did not go to the lecture and decided to look around on our own. An hour later, I began to get nervous about how many poor tourists could be loaded, but in total we spent almost 2.5 hours there. And this is on a wonderful women's holiday on March 8th. Finally, having reached the temple complex, we learned that the guide would not go with us, she was not supposed to conduct excursions there, and we could examine it on our own for 40 minutes. Having cooperated with 3 more people who were tired of this excursion, we examined this complex and, waving to Pegasus, drove by tuk-tuk to Kata Beach. Where we spent the rest of the day. As it turned out later, the tour ended at 6 pm. Therefore, we no longer contacted Pegasus and bought excursions on the street from Thai tour operators. We went to the show of transvestites, went to the jungle and to the Phi Phi Islands. At prices 2 times cheaper than our tour operators. We rented a motorbike - the extreme is still the same. But very convenient. The hotel provides no deposit.
We never saw our guide again. In the evening before leaving, they called her, she said that the information would be after 10 pm at the reception. The information was also in Russian, which was very pleasing. They took us out of the hotel on time. Only Aeroflot flew back and took off an hour late.
Summing up, I can say. You can go to this hotel, but not with children. There is nothing there for kids. The sea is awesome. You need to learn English, without it it is very difficult, and there is no hope for guides.
If there are questions, I will answer. Good luck to all!! !
