We rested in January 2019. At first glance, I liked the hotel. In general, we try not to pay attention to the little things and look only for the positive. Therefore, at first glance, we liked the room on the 5th floor of an 8-storey hotel. The superior room is spacious with a balcony. Terribly uncomfortable pillows, a strong hum from the bathroom fan and mold around the air conditioner were all the negatives we saw at first. And then it began... first we began to meet thick and large brown cockroaches in the bathroom, then in the room. We had accommodation with breakfast, and one fine day, having come for breakfast, we saw cockroaches in the breadbasket, and then... horror... a dead cockroach swam in cooked beans. We called the waiter in horror, he took the bread box and beans to the kitchen, where they caught the cockroaches and returned the dishes back!! ! We couldn't eat more.
Communication at the reception with tourists is terrible! We must pay tribute to there was one nice boy, and so... as soon as you start asking or asking something, they stop understanding any language other than Thai. They can’t explain themselves either, and if you don’t understand them, they freak out and yell. I was shocked by such communication! I rest often, this is my fourth country in the last 9 months, but I have not seen this anywhere else. We felt like delinquent children, even though we didn't ask for anything special. In shock, I even called the hotel guide (Biblio Globus), of course, he defended them in every possible way.
During cleaning, they never put any proper napkins, no tea, no soap, nothing. They put only water - 2 bottles of 0.6 liters per day. And if asked to put - the maid does not understand anything, at the reception in English they did not even understand the words "soap" and "napkins". They ran after the maid and took everything themselves. And once they didn’t give face towels, they said that there were no clean ones today, today, only bath towels. Like this!!!
We saw how Russian tourists were settled - healthy men and the hotel provided them with rooms with double beds, they stood and asked to change the room, they were promised to change, but later. How it ended I do not know, but the fact itself! For them, this is normal. By the way, we are 2 women and we also had one large bed)
The hotel is in the very center! It's good that it's in a quiet side street, but as soon as you leave the hotel and you find yourself in the thick of things. The road to the beach and back through Phuket's famous party street was stressful. And it's a 10 minute walk to the beach.
The hotel has a small pool on the 8th floor, I have never seen anyone swimming.
I also want to warn about street excursions. I used to hear that they can be deceived there, etc. , but in other countries I constantly bought tours on the street and everything was always fine, but in Thailand, I encountered this - I bought an excursion to Khao Lak on the street, but cheaper, than the guide, but we were promised a Russian-speaking guide and a Russian group. As a result, they arrived to pick us up 1 hour 10 minutes later than expected, to our question, what was so long, they mumbled something indistinct about a delay in another hotel. As a result, we went by minibus, instead of a big bus (110 km to Khao Lak), in an international group, where there was not a single Russian, with an English-speaking Thai guide looking like a bum. It’s good that he didn’t tell us anything historical, he only accompanied us, and it’s good that I studied English at school and understood and translated something to my mother, who didn’t understand a word. Upon arrival, they didn’t take us to the hotel, they dropped us off in the middle of the street, with the words “Your hotel is not far from here. ” As a result, in this turmoil, we forgot our personal belongings in the m / bus, realized only near the hotel, immediately asked to call the reception. We were promised to return things the next day, the next day we were simply answered that things would not be returned and that's it !!!
For those who are interested, I specially post photos of this travel agency and their location - a street parallel to the Thanon Ratuthit Songroipi Rd embankment.
The whole experience is completely ruined!
In fairness, the beach is clean, but there are a lot of ants under the trees. The water is warm, but there are a lot of algae.
Massages are cheap, but only my legs hurt terribly after them (although the massage was full) and in Turkey I liked the massage much more.
If you go from the Bible Globe, it's worth going on a free tour -
informative. Of course, stops are annoying, where they try to impose different goods on you, but that's why it's free. Tip - do not buy latex pillows at the factory - prices are 3.5 times too high. The same pillows are sold in shopping centers for 1000 baht and in shops on the street - the same thing.
The last thing to say, I didn't like the food. They don’t bother with cleanliness - they fry and boil seafood unpeeled.
In general, we are very different from Thais)))
