The flight was not delayed in both directions. Met in an organized manner, delivered to the hotel and placed without complaints.
The room was in the farthest 5th building, overlooking the eastern side opposite from the sea, the hills and wasteland, partly the pool and outbuildings of the nearby The Old Phuket hotel.
In general, this hotel is an ordinary Asian typical “three-ruble note”, designed for unpretentious Russian “package” tourists without special requests and pathos. Most Russian tourists are pensioners, many parents with children, married couples, very few tourists alone. On the beach, in the hotel, in the markets, in cafes - everywhere you will hear Russian speech.
The hotel is quite tired both outside and inside. Decor and furniture worn. The bed mattress is unusually hard, and the pillow is too small - you need to get used to them. Air conditioning is noisy, however, as usual in Asian hotels, but you also get used to it quickly. There was no portable clothes dryer in our room, so we used the rope and clothespins we brought with us. In a word, there are minor and non-critical shortcomings that you can close your eyes to. During the stay, everything in the room worked, everything was cleaned and replenished in a timely manner. The Thai guys at the reception speak English. If you do not speak either Thai or English, then the Google translator on your mobile phone will help you. There were also two Pegasus hotel guides at the hotel - Alexander and Linur. During our stay, we did not have to ask for help either at the reception or the hotel guides.
disadvantages
In fact, this is not really a minus of the hotel.
The fact is that between the roadway and the beach itself, a fairly deep channel has been laid, through which several bridges have been laid. So, at first, a black, unpleasant-smelling liquid flowed there. We did not attach any importance to this, since we believed that this liquid was discharged through a pipe somewhere far into the sea. But, when, after a fairly short downpour, they saw how a large brown spot dispersed across the water, in the place where people bathe, they thought. The water in the canal turned from black to clay. What would you think? The Thais didn’t “get confused” for a second by the problem of cleaning storm sewers, and all the garbage, along with rainwater from the adjacent territory, from roads, from sidewalks, rushes into this channel and safely merges into the sea by gravity. They got plastic bottles, bags with food containers, packages from the bottom of the sea. At the bottom lie huge leaves from the trees.
On top of that, the water was blue and clear (when you see your feet at the bottom) only three times, the rest of the time it was very cloudy. There were cases of the appearance of incomprehensible dirty bubbles on the surface of the sea and black silt in the water. If you stand facing the sea, then on the right side of these plums, I counted three. To the left, towards the Hilton Hotel, there are no drains and the sea is much cleaner, but you also need to walk 10 minutes one way. The palm grove provides a good shade where you can hide from the sun. But, and there it is required to spend "subbotnik". The Thais built buildings there from construction waste - it resembles the dwellings of our outcasts. The sand is moderately littered - the tourists themselves throw bottles, cigarette butts, coconuts, etc. , in addition, they take out garbage from the sea at high tide. The hotels do not have their own territories, the beach is all municipal, no one is especially watching it. Cleaned near the sunbeds, because they are paid.
pros
1. Proximity to the beach.
From our room on the 4th floor of the 5th building, we descended in the elevator and walked along our building, the building of the neighboring Grand Sunset Hotel, which is located on the same line, 4.3, 2 and 1 buildings, the La Luna cafe » to the beach about four minutes. For those who are interested, on the youtube channel there is a video of a tourist about the road to the beach.
2. Proximity to the industrial and food market "Karon Plaza". It takes 5-7 minutes to walk from the hotel along the road. In the market you can buy clothes, fruits, eat cheaply in a cafe. For example, in the YiaMas 88 cafe, we took the cheapest set of Thai dishes in Karon: Tom Yum Kung sour and spicy soup for 100 baht, Noodle soup for 70 baht, Pad Thai fried rice noodles with seafood 60 baht, fried rice with seafood Khao Pad 60 baht, spicy papaya salad with beans and peanuts Som Tam 60 baht. This cafe is located in the third row closer to the store, it has a yellow sign, light wooden tables and chairs, and the chef there is a male transvestite.
3. Free Wi-Fi in the rooms.
You can save a lot on mobile communications for talking with Russia. The cost of a minute of conversation through a Thai mobile operator is 5 baht / minute, i. e. 10 rubles. Here, count. On our last visit to Phuket, we lived in the Waterfront Suites Phuket by Centara 3 * aparthotel, so Wi-Fi was paid there - we spent 1200 baht for 14 days, this is at the pre-crisis rate of 1 baht = 1 ruble. In the "Baumancasa Karon Beach Resort" in each building there is a router, plus a router at the reception. Internet speed is great. We calmly watched videos from youtube in the room, called Khabarovsk and talked through a video call in the Whats App program. The local sim card was never used. The only inconvenience, one might even say “ambush”, is that Wi-Fi regularly disappears and you need to enter your login and password again.
4. The hotel has three private pools. Not 4 Me.
When I went out onto the balcony, I wondered why foreign tourists from the neighboring hotel “The Old Phuket” were trampling around their hotel pool in good weather, when there were such gorgeous sea and Karon beach nearby! What a joke - to fly so many thousands of kilometers and sit on the roof near the pool with chlorinated water! I only once briefly swam in the hotel pool of the 5th building, when it was insanely hot. From me then for a meter there was a persistent smell of chlorine. The second time before leaving, we climbed the pools to take panoramic photos against the backdrop of Karon.
5. The presence of a safe. There is no need to say anything - a very necessary thing.
6. No deposit. No deposit is required for loss or damage to hotel property.
7. Absence of dampness, fungus, mold, rodents and insects in the rooms. Once a mosquito flew in when the balcony was left open for the night. They spilled a drop of mango juice on the floor and in the morning the little ants had breakfast with it.
eight.
Breakfast included. Oh-oh-oh-oh-oh!!!! ! ! ! It's a freeloader's dream! ! ! ! If you regularly visit the buffet, then by the time you leave, you are guaranteed to gain a few extra pounds. I list: muesli with fruit, two types of cereal, fruits (watermelon, pitaya (“dragon fruit”), pineapple or melon), fruit salad, watering for fruits, two types of bread for toast, butter, one or two types of pastries (buns and muffins), three types of jams, chopped salad vegetables (tomatoes, cucumbers, cabbage, onions), juices (pineapple and orange), cool water, milk, coffee, tea, fried eggs, ham scrambled eggs, sausages, ham and eight types of second courses (potatoes, spaghetti, stewed vegetables, etc. ). What's missing is grilled chicken and meat.
If we compare the “continental” breakfast on the island of Koh Samui, when we were offered one fried egg with sausage or ham, one toast, one butter, one jam and coffee with cream for breakfast, then this breakfast is just a “belly feast”.
9. Compliment from the hotel. On his birthday, the couple presented a cake "Happy birthday".
10. LCD panel with 5 Russian channels (NTV, TV 3, Russia 1.2, 24)
They settled quickly, the room had everything you need - bottles of clean water, a hairdryer, a tea set with a kettle and accessories, a small refrigerator, a TV with a remote control, a safe and air conditioning. The room itself is excellent, there is light tile on the floor, a chair and a dryer on the balcony, and a spacious bathroom with uninterrupted hot water. They cleaned every day, washed the truth so-so, regardless of the tip - spilled beer near the bed - the stain did not wash out for three days, until they showed it directly. Towels were changed every day, shampoos, shower gels and other supplies were replenished, as well as tea, coffee and bottled water. The staff is very quiet and inconspicuous, which was important for us personally.
In general, the hotel looks good, we lived in building 4 (if memory serves), on the 3rd floor, a new elevator, a freshly renovated lobby, good sound insulation, somewhat shabby but tolerable appearance, there are pools on the roof of the hotel, the water in them is clean. True, they close at about 20.00, taking into account the currents and waves on the sea - in the evening there was simply nowhere to swim. There is a free sauna and a gym (there are not so many different simulators, but the gym is always empty). The hotel does not have a territory and a view from the windows, but for us it was not so important.
The food at the hotel is not bad (we only took breakfast), although not too varied, I especially liked the omelette, which is made with various fillings right in front of you. There are a lot of exotic fruits for us at breakfast, which is enough for all vacationers.
On the ground floor there are a couple of restaurants where you can have a decent dinner without leaving the territory, as well as a massage parlor, where, for the exact same prices as on the street, they offer many variations of massage, as well as all sorts of procedures for women like manicure. The restaurant at the hotel and in the salon are very friendly staff, like most Thais - caressed with smiles and hospitality.
The hotel is located very well - across the road is Karon Beach, which I liked very much with clean sand and the beautiful Andaman Sea. All beaches in Tae are municipal, so sunbeds are paid.
If you leave the hotel and turn right - there are many exchange offices, cafes, restaurants, as well as a market with clothes and a bunch of souvenirs, if you bargain - the prices will please you for sure. The only thing - you should not buy everything in the first days - Thais make discounts according to the color of the tan, the more intense it is, the more bargaining. Walk the first days, stare, ask prices. I recommend bargaining only when you are going to take a thing, many Thais are angry if you bargain, but you don’t take a thing.
In general, the hotel is definitely worth the money, if we go back to Tai again, we will definitely stay there.

Excursions were taken in a third-party company, there were no complaints about the organization. They have a lot of offers for sea excursions and around the city. Everything to write - it is necessary to do a separate review : -)
In general, about the hotel - it is definitely worth the money, if we go back to Tai again - we will definitely stay in it.
offering a choice of three room options, the room is not large, yes, but very cozy, there is even a hairdryer. There is almost no territory, but guys, he crossed the road right on the first line and here you have a wonderful Karon beach.
Very good food, we are personally delighted with omelettes that are prepared with any fillers to your taste, and in general, breakfasts are very diverse fruits, salads and pancakes... in general, we didn’t try everything in a week.
Yes, and we really liked the place of Karon Beach... Good infrastructure, shops, cafes, the market is not far away, they didn’t buy excursions at the hotel, we turned to a local company on recommendation, Russian guys work
sent us to wee-wee with an overnight stay and drove around the island,
it turned out two times cheaper than offered at the hotel, special thanks to Artem for the night Phuket Town. )))
The only negative is annoying taxi drivers and they take it very expensive, 400 baht to Patong, but otherwise everything is super, if you look for yourself this hotel, I recommend you....!! !
