We chose the hotel according to three criteria: proximity to the beach, reviews and price.
In general, everything suited.
1. location - although across the road, but the sea is very close - 1 minute - crossed the road and here it is - very convenient (on Karon there are three hotels closest to the sea - Baan Karonburi, Karon Princess and Woraburi - they are all side by side and located ) there is also Marina Phuket - but the price is much higher there)
the beach is great, but not for children - the waves are palpable
next to the hotel (from the hotel to the right) - a clothing market - clothes, shoes, souvenirs, suitcases - the quality is shit, but the prices are ridiculous (if you bargain) - you can take slates and pareos to the beach, but of course there is only rubbish
shops and cafes - as you leave the hotel to the right - go to the circle and turn up (to the right) - there on both sides is solid - you can choose to your taste and budget, and the higher the prices are lower

2. rooms - we were in Deluxe - the room is good, well equipped - hair dryer, safe, wardrobe, dressing table with mirror, banquette, 2 beds, TV - flat, wardrobe, thermospot, tea / coffee set, minibar, there is a type " kitchen table" - built into a niche. in the bathroom - bath, shower, sink, toilet, shower caps, shampoo, gel, soap, cotton sticks, tooth / brushes and toothpaste, of course brushes, paste and shampoo are fig like in all hotels - we have it all our own - but it's still nice to have
on the balcony - a table, 2 armchairs and a clothes dryer
there is an umbrella, beach towels, bathrobes and slippers
BUT - reusable slippers, i. e. in our closet there were 2 pairs of slippers with obvious signs of wearing them by previous guests
3. service - normal
the restaurant quickly removes empty plates, crumbs, garbage,
they don’t speak Russian at the reception, but if you don’t make trouble, but with a smile, there are no problems with communication - we communicated in English
In general, we were scared that in Thailand almost no one speaks Russian and English is spoken so little and so badly that it’s not true to understand anything - in shops, cafes, in the markets everyone understands and there are no problems
But even if you come across someone who speaks only Thai (this is if you yourself drove off somewhere to places where there are few tourists), simple questions can be solved with gestures
everyone smile - smile - it helps everywhere
in my opinion, the biggest minus of the hotel is the quality of room cleaning - it's bad - the floors are mediocrely washed every day, the linen was changed 2 times in 12 days - this is normal, towels are changed as often as necessary - throw them in the bathroom on the floor or in the bath), but on TV there are terrible dirty stains, on the mirror in the bathroom the same - all my splashes were never wiped off, on the tiles and on the glass in the shower cabin there is a layer of dirt - dried soap suds, etc. , the glasses are also terribly slick,
not very pleasant - although I rested in a three-ruble note abroad for the first time - maybe this is connected
left a tip - does not help
4. breakfasts - the norm - the main thing is there are no problems that those who got up earlier ate the most delicious - they constantly replenish

always 1 kind of soup, rice, noodles or potatoes, meat - beef - always tough or pork - very tasty, sausages - plastic, ham - good, pancakes or croutons - pancakes from powder, croutons are better, two types of cereal, make an omelette and scrambled eggs , toasts, powdered milk and juices, cucumbers, tomatoes, onions, bell peppers, fruits (we had watermelons, papaya and pineapple), tea, coffee, sauces
for comparison, breakfast last year was 5 * in Turkey in the summer, 4 * in Egypt in the spring - Egypt is in first place, Thailand is 2, Turkey is 3
5. territory - it is almost non-existent, but somehow it does not bother, the garden is clean and 3 small pools - in the center in the garden is figured with a bar - already badly beaten, but cozy - everyone hangs out there and near the new building 2 elongated with a descent from rooms on the 1st floor - during the day it is always calm and there are no children, there is mostly hype at night
6. hotel guests - 70% Russians, 29% Chinese and units of Europe and Australia
Bottom line - the hotel is quite good for its price and can be recommended
