We decided to celebrate the New Year in Phuket and chose a hotel on the Karon coast, as it is considered the best in Thailand. The agency advised Baan Karonburi Resort 3 *. The hotel was even better than we expected. Despite the fact that we bought a regular room, we were settled in a huge Thai-style room with a large and comfortable bed and a jacuzzi. The hotel is located 1 minute walk from the beach, across a very busy road. At this time, there were quite strong waves on the beach, I do not advise you to go to this coast with small children. The beach is wide, clean, with beautiful palm trees. Thai breakfasts are very different from European ones for the better. Karonburi served rice with chicken and pineapple in the morning, as well as Thai noodles. Everything is very delicious. We paid for New Year's Eve dinner which was amazing with different types of lobster and other delicacies. From the early morning of December 31, hotel employees decorated the hotel lobby with orchids. And in the evening there was a festive concert with Thai folk dances and songs.
The most profitable exchanger on Karon is located near the hotel, and if you go to the left of the hotel, and not towards the center to the right, there will be a small street with excellent cafes and massage parlors, the best of which I think is located at the very end of the street (at a dead end on the left). I especially liked the masseuse named Pi, although before that we had visited 5 different salons. I think that a trip to Phuket is a great choice in order to spend an unforgettable vacation.
