We ourselves live in the Dusit Thani 5 * hotel, everything is nearby, around the lagoon. But we went for a walk around the Angsana hotel and were a little upset that before leaving I was tormented by the choice between these two hotels. It was necessary to take Angsanu. Why? Because there you can immediately see that the hotel is more modern or something. The territory is beautifully well-groomed, the pool is generally endless, passing from a large canal to a canal along bridges and again, and so on throughout the territory. Children of 8-12 years old began to swim there in the evening, admiring its size and sinuosity.
True, we did not go into the rooms, but I'm sure that if the territory is so amazing, then the rooms are fine.
We had dinner there in the restaurant "grill something there", even the restaurants they have are more modern and the place in front of the reception, in the open space, is reserved for a concert venue with live performances. Like a lounge bar, super, but we have a small corner in Dusite, where a Thai singer sings to the phonore. In general, to be honest, a house for pensioners. There are old people around, they are people too, but I didn’t want that (( too quiet, too dull and outdated. You will like it much better there. For the first time in my life, I flew so far with a hotel. Bought in Dusite for a Dusit Thani Club room on the ground floor with sea access with private patio, yes great but oppressed by a lot of old couples and not a very modern hotel.
The Banyan Tree is also included in the same Laguna chain, we did not choose it because of too much privacy and solitude, we would have gone completely silly. But you have to go and have a look. They have the most luxurious in this chain, but they themselves say so the quietest. There are only villas. I want to tell you, we found out late that from each hotel in this chain there are 5 or 6 of them, either a free minibus shuttle or a ferry every 20 minutes. We sailed on the ferry. And there are a lot of good shops there, Laguna village seems to be. Like this. This review is for the hotel only. But the sea is gentle everywhere, and it pleased. It was worth visiting Thailand for this ; -)
