We rested in Thailand, in Phuket in February 2016. They chose for a long time, then they leaned towards one, then another, but in the end they decided to take it not in the center and not in the party areas, but a little further away, but more calmly and secluded. And the beaches, for example, in the famous Patong leave much to be desired, a lot of people, dirty, everything is expensive, etc. In one hotel, the restaurant in the style of our dining room with a lot of tables next to each other just scared away. Everything was fine at Allamanda Laguna, besides, we were told that these hotels are of a good standard. The hotel is very beautiful, well, only the territory is small. All neighboring hotels have a much larger area. They settled us in the third building, on the third floor overlooking the pool and the golf course. We took the One Bedroom Suite, did not expect it to be so big. We had a large living room combined with a kitchen, a bedroom, two balconies. The kitchen has everything you might need - a stove, refrigerator, dishes, microwave, kettle, cutlery, etc. The room has a paid minibar, from which we did not take anything, and two free bottles of water, which were updated daily. There were also free bags of tea, coffee and sugar. We heard that the staff can take something from the room (for example, from the minibar), and then include it all in the bill. For all the time nothing like this happened to us, and the hotel guide immediately reassured us that this simply could not be in Laguna hotels.
After check-in and placement, we ran to the beach, to the sea. To do this, we had to walk to the Laguna, take a beautiful ferry and swim to the pier at the other end of the lagoon, and then walk a little and find yourself on the beach. Bang Tao Beach is clean, completely sandy, considered one of the best. The entry into the sea is smooth, in order to swim normally, you had to walk 10-15 meters along the bottom. On the beach, sunbeds and umbrellas from our hotel are free, for everyone else there is also for rent, something around 200 baht for an umbrella and sunbed, decently in general! We took beach towels with us from the room, they are changed every day. Our tour included only breakfast, we had lunch and dinner on the beach. There are a lot of different cafes there. Thai dishes are quite spicy, but they often ask themselves "veri spicy", "middle spicy" or "not spicy", if you don't like it, just say not spicy right away, and it will be a little spicy anyway!
Breakfasts at the hotel are standard, what can I say, juices, coffee, omelettes, rice, fruits, pastries.

As for excursions, we had a recommendation, so we didn’t take them from operators or companies, they just rip you off, there is no service. We ordered from an employee of a Russian-Thai company, everything is clear, they are in direct contact with the Thais. If so, I'll give you contacts. We went to the Phi Phi Islands - gorgeous! It seems to be the same sea, but the water there is just some kind of extraordinary, it must be seen, blue-green, transparent even at a depth. They also swept through the islands of Thailand, along the Andaman Sea. In Phuket we went to the Siam Niramid show, interesting, colorful, with the participation of elephants, many incredible scenery. There was also dinner in a chic restaurant. Shows based on historical events, ie. also educational.
I liked everything, the rest turned out to be excellent, it's a pity that all this flies so quickly! We are already waiting for the next race.
