We rested on Phi Phi Island at the Bay View Resort Phi Phi Island at the end of October 2008. For a long time I wanted to relax on this island, so I chose the hotel thoroughly. Of the total number of hotels left for consideration three: Phi Phi Island Cabana Hotel, Phi Phi Island Village Beach Resort & Spa and Bay View Resort Phi Phi Island. I will mention a little about all these hotels for comparison: Cabana - located in the very center of the lively part of the island (it is called "peace we only dreamed of"; ) and there is no bungalow; Village - located in the northern part of the island, the central part can only be reached by boat, but having stopped at this hotel just for the sake of interest, I realized that the hotel is worthy. But we, nevertheless, stopped our choice on Bay View and did not regret it a bit! To be honest, we are very choosy and picky about the place and quality of rest, we rested in the Maldives, Bali, Dominican Republic, Thailand on about. Koh Samui, but this time we decided to visit Phi Phi.
The road is not boring. From Phuket on a comfortable ferry only 2 hours, and now you are already enjoying the approaching steep cliffs of the island, completely covered with tropical vegetation. Check-in at the hotel took no more than 5 minutes. And now the room-boy is very perky carrying your suitcase over the hills of the hotel.
I want to say right away that the Bay View Resort Phi Phi Island hotel is conducive to a calm, romantic vacation. It is located in the far right part of the southern bay. To the central lively part of the island with restaurants and shops on foot along the beach 10-15 minutes. This hotel is combined with the hotel Arayaburi Resort Phi Phi Island, we can say that this is one hotel, the difference is in the location of the rooms, they are further and higher. I do not recommend.

The decoration of the reception and the restaurant is without frills, three stars is the maximum. Bungalows are located on four levels. I recommend choosing the first one, only in them nothing will prevent you from enjoying the view of the bay at any time of the day. The advantage of them is not only that the view of the bungalow in front and its roof is excluded, but also that there is no path in front of the first level from which the number is visible, which allows you not to close the curtains. We were in room 108. The room is spacious enough, no frills, but everything you need is there. On the terrace there are two sunbeds, two wooden chairs and a table. The only negative is that housekeeping starts at 8 am and can last for an indefinite time. But qualitatively  . Linen is changed every two days, towels, both beach and shower, every day. Hot water in the room directly depends on the operation of the air conditioner. If your air conditioner is turned off, then do not wait for hot water. I recommend turning on the air conditioner for the day, and in the evening, when you return from the beach, immediately turn it off, you will always have water  . Drinking water in the room every day for 6 bottles. The minibar is filled every day at 7pm.
Cooking and serving in the hotel restaurant is excellent! All five stars! We dined several times in other restaurants on the island and in other hotels, but this was only confirmation that you should not look for better, because you will not find it! A variety of seafood and how to prepare them. Prices, plus or minus the same in all restaurants. A big plus of the hotel restaurant is that you don’t have to pay right away, you just need to sign a check and that’s it. You can pay by credit card immediately for everything when leaving the hotel. And in the evening, the tables are taken out to the beach, which allows you to enjoy dinner and listen to the rustle of the waves under the illumination of torches and stars. Wonderful! On average, a dinner for two with seafood, salads and beer will cost you about 500 to 2.000 baht. The price of dinner depends on the assortment and quantity ordered.
The hotel has two private beaches: one is large at the main entrance to the hotel, and the second is small, at the end of the hotel, but very cozy. If you are relaxing on the first beach, then the waiters will bring the drinks you order directly to the sunbed. If you want to take a drink and retire to the second beach, then the bar will kindly provide you with drinks in a bag filled with ice.
The right part of the southern bay is shallower than the left and central one, so no boats, boats, yachts, and even more so ferries do not interfere with a great vacation, it’s even nice to enjoy the view of snow-white yachts sailing in the distance. What can not be said about the central and left parts of our southern bay, because it is all filled with various water modes of transport, and the beach itself is not everywhere. But the beach in the northern bay impresses with its pristine beauty and splendor, but only until 9 am, because. it is the central public beach of the island, and during the day, starting at 10 am, it is very reminiscent of a beach on our Black Sea at the height of the season

There are ebb and flow, but if this is not the peak of the ebb table, then they pass unnoticed. There are two observation decks on the island, which offer a magnificent panoramic view of the island, I highly recommend it! There are no roads on the island, all transportation is on foot, but it is not tiring. It is very nice to take a boat ride with their local flair "taxi-boat", on the island they are used as private taxis. The best time to travel is in the first half of the day, starting at seven or eight in the morning. On average, a trip for 3 hours will cost 1.200 baht, or as agreed. There are a lot of coral reefs around the island, but you still have to get to them by taxi-boat.
I recommend taking cruises around the islands of Phi Phi Don and Phi Phi Le, with the famous Maya Bay beach, I recommend going to this beach no later than 7:30-8:00 in the morning, stopping to view all the sights, and a cruise to Bambo Island . I advise you to always take a snorkeling kit with you. For baiting fish, I advise you to take bread, then they simply will not sail away from you  . For landing on the islands, you will be charged 200 baht per person, regardless of the time. On the way, you can always stop by the monkey beach. There are two on the island. Monkeys are tame and love bananas.
White sand, emerald water, palm trees and extraordinary panoramas that only this island has - what else is needed for a paradise vacation!
And in conclusion, I want to say: 4-5 days are not enough for this island, it will take at least 10 days to feel all the charm of this tropical island.
