Upon arrival in Thailand December 15.2013 were placed in this hotel. But already on December 16 in the period from 9 o'clock. 30 min to 13 h. 30 minutes. (were at sea) from our room 408 of the Welcome Plaza Hotel, 9.000 rubles were stolen from me (the money was in a winter jacket), and 1.000 rubles from a friend (the money was in the nightstand). When contacting the police, the police did not take measures to search for the stolen money. Two days in a row on December 16 and 17, we went to the police, were there for 5-6 hours, but all to no avail. Even if the money that was missing from us was not found, however, when we communicated with tourists from Russia, we were not the first tourists in this hotel who had their money stolen. According to the tourists , they steal in this hotel all the time , who has 300 dollars , who has 250 euros , who has a camera , they steal from suitcases with a combination lock , and even steal from safes that are located at the reception . There are victims from whom 1000 dollars, 400 dollars were stolen from such safes. The process of theft in this hotel no one can and does not want to stop. I was in this hotel twice, 2006 and 2012, I really liked it, therefore, I chose it for the third time, but this choice turned out to be wrong. Dear tourists, be always vigilant, keep your money and passports only with you. I have never seen such a scale of theft as in the Welcome Plaza Hotel in any country. Most of the tourists whose money was stolen from the hotel did not contact the police and other law enforcement agencies, not wanting to waste time on sorting out, as they flew home the next day.
