Krabi... tranquility in Thailand
Choosing a place for a beach holiday, we went through a lot of information, in the end, the choice fell on Krabi. Krabi was attracted not only by its chic nature and many islands, but also by the fact that Krabi was closer to Malaysia. We decided to live in Ao Nang. It was quite calm, clean and the prices did not bite.
The closer we got to the sea, the more beautiful nature became. Huge sheer cliffs rose right out of the fields.
Whilst away our time on Ao Nang, we walked a lot along the beach, once we even calmly walked into the territory of a hotel and walked around its territory.
Many should remember the terrible tsunami that claimed many lives. After that, I assume, warning signs appeared all along the coast.
Somehow we walked to a distant beach, I don’t know the names. There were islands. The low tide made it possible to get closer to them, and swim in clean and cool water.
In the evening, the quiet village turned into a noisy party. You could walk around the many stalls with a variety of junk, you could sit in a bar or dance in a local club, or simply launch lanterns with desire. One evening, we admired the chic transvestites who invited all passers-by to a nightclub.
If you are tired of Ao Nang, there is an opportunity to escape to the islands or to remote beaches. Boats are carried to Railay Beach for 200 baht in two directions. It has its own walking street with pubs and shops, hotels and bungalows for rent. Prices are certainly higher than on the "mainland", but right there and more beautiful and calmer. Here is a paradise for climbers, and also hyperactive squirrels and funny monkeys live here =)
And what sunsets in Krabi! ! ! A feast for the eyes! !
We enjoyed our time here very much.
We lay on the beach with a cold margarita / beer / rum / mojito, played different games, frolicked like small children, spent the evenings having intellectual (and not so much) conversations ...It was a great end to the Thai part of the trip!
