In the morning, in the light of newly discovered circumstances, I decided to take a time out and arrange a "fasting day". Relax, I mean. And the weather wasn't very good either. She offered to go to the beach of the Centara Hotel, located around the corner from Ao Nang. Vadik said that he would come later - he was afraid to go far from the toilet. Verka, however, insisted on shopping instead of the beach, but I did not want to. Shopping can wait.

We reached the left end of the beach, crossed the stinky river on the bridge and began to climb the wooden steps, popularly referred to as the “Monkey Path”.

True, no monkeys were observed there. Except for us, maybe. At the entrance to the beach of Centara, the guard asked us to sign up for a magazine (for order). A sign hung right there, from which it was clear that for just some unfortunate 350 baht per person, you can use the nishtyaks offered by the hotel - a sunbed, a towel, a pool, a shower, a toilet, and even some drinks. Thank you!

Verka found a place under a tree, fearing the hot sun. And I, having caught the central wi-fi, called Vadik on viber. He said he was better and he is already leaving. Walked along the beach. Found kayak rentals. For 2 hours they asked for 400 baht. And for an hour, I ask, is it possible? Are you a hotel guest? No. Well, then 400 baht and no nails!

And the weather was getting worse! A storm front shoved in from the sea, blocking the islands from view.

I wish we could decide to sail to Koh Poda today! The water was warm, warmer than the air, and I didn’t know what was better: to get out the best, or to wait out the storm, sitting in the water - still wet. Vadik has arrived. We consulted and decided, after all, to bring down - what if this is for a long time? And we went before it started. But on the trail it has already begun. On a kayak it would be fun now! Verka grumbled that it would be better if we shopped. Well, what's the point? All the same, you have to run from store to store.

We wanted to have lunch at our cafe, but for some reason it didn't work. Filled the brazier, or what? Then we bought fried wings for ourselves and pure Verke meat (they had a brazier under the roof) and beer at the stall. Wings, for some reason, were more expensive than just chicken - 50 and 40 baht, respectively.

We came home wet to the skin. That's when I was glad to have hot water in the shower!

After having lunch, what God sent, lay down for an hour, and then went shopping.

Today God sent us wings and beer

We passed by this store several times every day:

At first I thought it was a toy store - there were some plastic bananas and mangoes in the window. Then I saw multi-colored men's personal belongings among the bananas and decided that this was a sex shop. Toys for adults.

And even later, bothering to raise my head and read the name, I found out that this is a bath accessories store. Then we decided to go there. OOOO! Yes, there was just a kingdom of marketing ideas! I wanted to buy half the store!

Soaps of various colors and scents were sold for 100 baht for three units. But the trick was that you could only buy three identical things for 100. But you wanted everything! And how to carry it all? Vadik dropped out of the ranks of the porters, and I will have to carry all this! All the same, they raked in mango-banana, flower soaps. And I also bought members, to make fun of my girlfriends.

I hung out in the clothes shop for a long time. There was no size for Verka, and he and Vadik sat waiting for me to try everything on. I tried and tried, but in the end I bought only tattered shorts, supposedly Levi's. I bought pants from this company. But all the labels were cut off on them and it was possible to guess their origin only by a button. And these shorts had everything in place. And the cotton is as dense as it used to be, without any stretch. However, I think that they are self-made, like everything else here. Shorts cost no less than 450 baht.

The rest of the clothes, although they fit perfectly on me (everything suits the scoundrel, as Verka correctly noted), I rejected, to the considerable disappointment of the saleswoman. Take at least a beautiful long-fitting sundress with bare shoulders. Verka, seeing me in it, asked: “Are you going to wear this? ”. Thinking about it, I decided that it’s true, I won’t! Shorts - yes, they are mine. And the sundress? “To work - immodestly, to the theater - defiantly” (c). Yes, and it was a little expensive.

In another store, they bought a pair of men's t-shirts for 200 baht and a clown hebesh floral jumpsuit for me. I'll wear it here if not at home. For 350 baht. I don’t know how to bargain, but then I realized how to do it right. As soon as you turn around to leave, they immediately hand you a calculator and offer to collect their price. But just starting to bargain with a clear intention to buy is not worth it. Sellers immediately see your interest and throw off mere pennies.

And we also found a large supermarket Mather Marche (hereinafter I will call it Mama Masha).

As in the case of the soap-and-snout shop, we passed it eleven times without noticing. I, looking at the name, could not imagine that this is a supermarket. Thought it was some fancy clothing store. But Verka is sometimes useful. How she saw it with her hyper-myopic eyes, I don't know. But we went there. OOO! Well, firstly, there was rum at 0.7 for 295 baht, which is more profitable than 0.3 for 155, and even than 1 liter for 430. Secondly, mangoes there cost 89 baht per kilo, at that time , as around the corner, on the tray where we bought all the time, they were 100 each. Here they buy, but around the corner they sell, I suppose! And then there was the durian! I wanted to try it, but it was so huge! And it was not cheap.

This one will probably pull on a thing. Verka, of course, there is "it" flatly refused. And together with Vadik we will not master it. Okay, let's be healthier. The store smelled of rotten onions. The bow was there, and at first I sinned against him. Then I just realized that in vain.

A few days later, I found out that alcohol in "Mama Masha" is sold without time limits. And there is also a free toilet (once came in handy)! What a magical store! True, he worked from 11 to 24, although the sign says that around the clock.

Due to my inattention, I also did not immediately notice the 7/11 stores. For a couple of days I ran to the store a block away from our street, and only then I found two whole stores nearby, one opposite, across the road, and the second - in general, on the corner behind our street.

It was damp after the rain. The swimsuit that had been hung out the day before became even wetter. I extended our stay here for another 4 days, after which we changed the sheets and towels. But Verke, for some reason, was not changed. She went to investigate. He comes back and asks: "What is power? " Energy, I say. "And the tower? " Tower. "How about a towel? " Tower. "BUT! I seem to have asked her for a new tower. ” But Verka nevertheless received the towel. The hostess is quick-witted.

The night passed quietly. I didn’t turn off the MFP in the face of the fan, and it conscientiously performed as many as three functions: drove the air, dispersed mosquitoes and drowned out both the roosters and the mosque with its monotonous rattling. Vadik was allowed. We also remembered that, among other things, he drank half a cup of coconut milk from a bag. Not transparent water from drinking coconut, but ripe, fat white milk. Probably, the reason for the carrying was precisely in him.

The next morning, I decided to go to another beach - Nopparat Thara. Vadik seemed a little numb. Sitting on the porch, waiting for Verka, I saw that a monitor lizard had entered the reception in a businesslike way. I'm for the fotik and to him. He got scared and, hissing at me, tried to break into the door that opened inward.

It didn't work. Then he rushed past me into the bushes. And he runs fast, the infection!

We passed the embankment and turned onto a street parallel to the main street of Ao Nang. There was also a soap shop there. And there the members were more serious!

And we didn't score! For a ruble bunch. And the rate of the baht on this street was higher than on ours. That's how it always is!

I saw durian ice cream on some advertisement. Oh, I want! Anyway, I'll try it. In February, I found what I was looking for. I ate it myself, didn’t let the nasty Verka take a bite - buy it for yourself and try as much as you want! Then for half a day I belched rotten onions.

The tide had already begun, but it was still possible to swim, which we did.

Then we moved on. Many interesting shells were found on the beach. There are fewer of them in Ao Nang.

Apparently, it was a giant mussel!

Leaving Verka in the Christmas trees, we went to explore the cape that closes the riverbed, from where ferries leave for Phuket and other places. It was quite picturesque here. But the low tide... Even stronger than on Ao Nang, as it seemed to me. And the water is even murkier.

Jellyfish warning. Haven't met them yet.

We examined the ferry pier, picked up Verka and went back. On the other side of the street, I saw a sign that there was a national park.

On the map, this place looked like a white spot. We went, we went. Parking, several houses. Perhaps the national park goes far inland - I have no idea! Information is zero. Let's go home.

Schoolchildren were brought to the sea. They were fed dried fish on sticks.

I thought it was a temple. It turned out to be a hotel.

Another shop selling alcohol was found on the embankment. Probably without interruptions, but the prices here were higher!

We had lunch in a cafe. They had a promotion: several types of pad thai for 50 baht and fried rice with various additives too. However, they had this action every day.

After resting a little after lunch, Vadik and I went to watch another sunset. But it started to rain again.

I had plans to climb another mountain - Dragon Cross, which is located near Tub Kaek beach. And the only way to get there is by taxi. Or tuk tuk. Of course, it's not cheap. But since Vadik's health deteriorated, I decided, it was, to cross out this paragraph. And then I thought, what the hell? I told them that we would go there, but they would go with Verka to the beach and wait there until I went up and down. And went to look for transport for tomorrow. I asked taxi drivers in one place - they broke 600, advising me to turn to tuk-tukers. The tuk-tuker was not original and also asked for 600. But I managed, nevertheless, to agree with another taxi driver for 500. He was supposed to pick us up at 7 in the morning.
