We chose a hotel in Krabi deliberately, since the hotels that we looked at in Phuket and Pattaya were much more expensive. And this hotel perfectly met the criteria "good reviews, suitable for families with children, good price".
We were lucky with the transfer, like everyone, probably, who travels to Krabi. It is clear that the road from the airport is long (about 2.5 hours), but we went by minivan, alone with a guide and without unnecessary stops.
We arrived at the hotel around 10 pm, check-in went quickly. By the way, it was necessary to leave a deposit of $ 200.
The room is basic, nothing special. There is a refrigerator, a kettle, cups, a tea / coffee set, left 2 or 3 bottles of water, a paid mini-bar, a free safe, Wi-Fi, a TV with the first channel. There was also an ironing board with an iron, a hair dryer, house slippers, bathrobes, there was a clothes dryer on the loggia, there was even a bag for the beach (I had never come across this before). Towels were changed regularly, shampoos and other bottles too. Yes, and cleaned in the room is also normal (no better and no worse than anywhere else).
In the morning we went down to the large dining room, where a variety of dishes for every taste were waiting for us. But, either I was snickering, or it really wasn’t very tasty, but it wasn’t very tasty for me)). A couple of times we ordered food to the room (pizza there, sandwiches), it was delicious.
We usually had lunch / dinner in one cafe / restaurant (I forgot what it's called, it seems like something with the letter S))), we settled on it by trial and error. We had a very tasty and relatively inexpensive meal there.
The hotel has several swimming pools, there is a children's pool. There is a gym, children's room. In the children's room there are a lot of toys for the sandbox that are allowed to be taken to the beach, there are no books in Russian. And in general there is nothing in Russian). And in general, we heard Russian speech extremely rarely (maybe due to the fact that there is a crisis in Russia and people travel little, or maybe this hotel is not popular among Russian tourists). Probably, for those who do not know English, it will be hard.
What can be attributed to the minuses is, probably, all the same, remoteness from the coastline. We traveled with small children and it was hard for us to get to the beach and back. Yes, and they practically don’t swim on local beaches, but go by boat to neighboring islands (like 100 baht round-trip from an adult, children are free).
What can be said at the end of the review? Our journey left a feeling of incompleteness, a feeling that I did not see everything that I could see and visit everything that I could visit. Krabi is just a fairy tale! Probably, it does not even matter which hotel you choose, these places are stunning in their beauty. Be sure to visit the islands and explore them! I am sure you will find a lot of beautiful and interesting things there! Have a nice rest!
