I liked Apsara hotel for the price, photos, reviews. Go.
On arrival we were upgraded from a room with pool access to a pool villa. This is good luck, we thought (as we guessed later, we were moved due to the fact that right in front of "our" building there was a repair of a bar on the shore). After a couple of days of staying, we were deprived of a free mini-bar, saying that we had already been moved to a more respectable place. Well, nothing, in the store we will buy everything you need. But the nearest shop turned out to be almost 5 km from the hotel. On foot with shopping - yes-le-ko. And there were no restaurants, spas, bars nearby - nothing, only closed establishments, it was not clear whether hotels were working, it felt like this place survived the tsunami just yesterday and only our hotel looks like new.
The sea near Apsara is a bit shallow, strong enough waves (apparently at this time of the year) do not allow you to reach the depth, but jumping on the waves is also fun. The beach is cleaned only in front of the hotel, literally 100 meters to the right and left, the rest of the beach is very dirty ; ( Not only corals, but all sorts of human gifts (bottles, slippers, etc. ) are nailed by waves. And if you walk along the beach towards White Sands , then you can reach the "spot" of stones. During low tide, next to these stones it becomes creepy, as if you were on Mars (although the stones are not red) or on some abandoned planet, at least it seemed to me.
But the territory of the hotel is quite large. The villas are across the bridge (river) from the buildings. There are two restaurants on the territory, on both sides of the river. The menu of main dishes, in my opinion, is a little bit poor, and the drinks are more extensive. There are no entertainment events and animations, as in Turkey or Egypt. But there is a spa. Prices are higher than in the city, but at this time of the year (off season) there is a 40% discount.
There are two halls on the territory of the hotel, but if you are professionally involved in sports or understand something in it, then it is difficult to call them halls. Three simulators in each hall - a track, an ellipse and a bicycle; dumbbells (moreover, in one of the halls they end up at 12 kg), a straight bench, a bench for the press, an inclined bench.
Overall, a good place, but I don't want to go back.
