We went to Thailand for the first time. We heard a lot of different reviews, both positive and negative. Most of the tourists go to Pattaya. We didn’t want to go to a resort like our Sochi (in a negative sense) We wanted to get away from the crowds of people, the dirty sea and incredible prices. The choice fell on Koh Chang. We flew to Bangkok. Arrived, met the host company SAYAMA. The guide guy speaks little Russian. He presented a gift from the company - a backpack with a full set of tourist booklets, a SIM card. A local came up, we were told to follow him. They put us in the car and off we went. The ride is 4 hours, a little uncomfortable, the Thai does not speak English at all. You go and think whether they are driving correctly at all. . . We reached the ferry without incident. We stopped by the ferry, another 1 hour and we are on the island. Our driver took us to the hotel. The hotel reception only speaks English. A little strained, accustomed to in Turkey, everyone understands everything. Here, they hardly understood that our room would be only in 2 hours. I had to wait. . . I must say right away that this hotel has two territories delimited by a road. The one closer to the sea-bungalow has 3 *. The one that is higher from the road 4 *. Everyone eats in one place. The beach is also the same. In the four, the building is completely new, recently built. The rooms are not inferior to 5 * in Turkey (before that they were in the Titanic, Melas, Barut, etc. ) There is a swimming pool with a slide for children on the territory. Everything is very clean and tidy. Breakfasts are excellent. Eggs, second courses, pastries, fruits. You can eat from the belly. For lunch and dinner we went to a cafe nearby, literally 10 meters away. The food is very tasty and inexpensive. The average bill for two with 1 bottle of beer is 300-400 baht-rubles. It all depends on how much you drink. In general, I liked everything very much. Warm sea (there is no such sea in Turkey in August), white sand. We are glad that we chose this hotel. White Sand Beach is the busiest. There is no shortage of cafes and bars. You can eat with any amount of money. In other parts of the island, this is worse. Families with children mostly have to have lunch and dinner at their hotel. And this is completely different money. Let me sum it up. I will go there again and again!! ! Sorry for the confusion. I will be glad to answer any questions.
